TKS Miami

LOVE THESE GUYS. I have paddled around the world (from Kauai to Iceland, the Bahamas, England, New Zealand, Malibu, Redondo, Nashville, New York, British Columbia and so on) so you can trust me when I say this: TKS Miami is EXCELLENT. Awesome, high quality SUP boards and top of the line paddles for rent (as opposed to the crap most places give you!) and for a VERY fair price. I paddled an excellent Naish, great ride, great glide and very stable, even an absolute beginner would be fine on this board. I paddled TKS Miami’s Bay side location and it was gorgeous. Glassy water, you glide past beautiful homes and badass boats. I even saw manatees (!!!). Just beautiful, tranquil and the folks at TKS Miami could not be nicer or more helpful — from my very first inquiry right through to the end of my paddle. In fact, right after I finished my paddle we had a torrential rainstorm and my Über driver got terribly lost trying to find me as I hid in the TKS shop hoping to not get drenched. The last thing I wanted to do was walk out there in pouring rain trying to find the guy. Thankfully I had the awesome Rad to the rescue: he jumped on the phone with my Über driver and walked him through how to get there in Spanish (my Spanish, alas, not so good) and I was on my way in no time. I will DEFINITELY be going back and paddle w/​them again. (oh and the shop also has very nice selection of apparel and gear!)

Great shop. Camilo took a few of us out paddleboarding around the bay and the experience was great. All the staff was super friendly and if you are renting they make it very easy by delivering the boards right to the water and preparing all the gear in advance. Great personal service with fun staff and really nice gear /​clothes available at the shop.

Great service. Brought a team from Crunch Fitness over for a team building event. We couldn’t find the place and were late and were concerned we may have lost our time, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Great store went to buy a paddle board and staff was very knowledgeable. Morgan the owner took great care of me and recommended an excellent board. He was right on with his advice. They also have really cool shorts, T-​shirts and sandals.

My boyfriend and I visited Miami Beach on vacation from New York City. We really wanted to try SUPing as we had never done it before. Luckily, we came across TKS Miami! The owner was incredibly nice and so accommodating! He talked us through our options and never tried to «sell» us and the prices were very reasonable.
We decided on an hour-​long session around the bay and we couldn’t have been more pleased! The walk to the water was literally 2 minutes away, so the location was perfect and Roly was not only and excellent guide, but a great teacher! He asked us what we were interested in seeing and gave us options for our route. He even shared some fun facts about some of the houses we saw along the way!
I highly recommend TKS Miami if you’re a beginner or even more advanced!

Hands down the best SUP shop in Florida! I have now purchased two SIC boards from Leo, who offered experience, knowledge, and awesome customer service!
My first purchase was of a board brand new to the market. Leo was able to source the board back in March, it is now May and most people are still unable to get this board! My second purchase from TKS, Leo arranged to be delivered to me in Key West, just in time for my first race. He even worked it out so I could demo the board prior to purchase. I highly recommend TKS Miami to anyone in the market for new equipment. Stop by and see the shop, you wont be disappointed!

This is a great shop for all of your water-​sports activities.
Staff is extremely professional and very knowledgeable.
If you are a beginner or an expert, these guys will always be able to guide you to purchase what’s best for you. Everyone at the shop is actually involved in water-​sports so you always know your re getting advice from a person that knows what they are talking about.
The shop is awesome, and as soon as you walk in you immediately feel the good vibe.

I needed a new kiteboard harness, so I stopped by TKS in Sunset Harbor since I live in the neighborhood.
The first thing I noticed was a big sign in front that said «2014 kiteboard harnesses 20% off», so that was a good start!
Leo the manager was super friendly and accomodating… much more than just a salesperson, he is also a certified kite instructor and is extremely passionate about the sport.
They had the exact harness I was looking for, so I took advantage of the sale and bought it. He was also kind enough to offer 20% off a flotation vest I wanted so I got that too.
The shop is very slick and they carry all the best brands of equipment and apparel. They also rent paddleboards which you can launch right there at the Sunset Harbor marina.
Stop by and say hello to these guys and get out on the water!

Hands down the best selection of Kiteboarding and Paddleboarding gear in Miami. Also the only place around selling Pyzel boards. Every single person on staff Kites, surfs and paddleboards. Only place around that will not BS you just to sell you a new pair of flip flops. Top quality gear, top quality service & the nicest looking shop in town. Also make sure you ask about their kiteboard and paddleboard schools. Half the people in the water have learned there.

My boyfriend and I have been paddle boarding a couple times in Key Biscayne but wanted to check out a different area. TKS had some good reviews and the prices seemed to be the best in the area so we headed to their shop. Great choice– the guys who work there were friendly, helpful and the shop is cool too. We did the 2 hour rental which was perfect because there are plenty of areas to explore– lots of canals also which are great for beginners like us. We’ll definitely be back!

There is some very nice retail popping up in the Sunset Harbor area, especially this shop, TKS Miami.
There are really no crowds in this area of town and I love the fact that it caters to locals.
It’s a kiteboarding/​paddleboarding/​surf shop with all the accessories and clothing too.
Staff is friendly and prices are fair too.
I definitely see myself coming back here. It’s across the street from Fresh Market.
