I wanted to love this place. Booths are awesome and the place is hip Miami looking. The food is decent but you will have to spend $ 100+ per person to be filled.

I rarely write reviews but felt it would be an injustice to the service we received. I made very last minute reservations through Chantelle who kindly offered the option of prixe fix menus for my girlfriends bachelorette weekend dinner. I live in the area but most of the 11 girls are not from here. Chantelle was on point throughout! Emails flew back and forth effortlessly and her recommendations for the menu were amazing. We were running late(mainly me) they were totally relaxed about it. Upon arrival the vibe was excellent. Service did start out slow but picked up as soon as the first course came out. Salads, sides, and desserts were family style and the portions for south beach standards were excellent. Everything was delicious! As a Mac and filet afficionado and a foodie I was truly impressed! The only steakhouse that would compare food, service, and quality wise on Sobe is the Meat Market on Lincoln where I typically have their excellently prepared wagyu. BUT… When it comes to the vibe this place is happening with a dance floor and great music. Sadly, I can not recall our waitresses names but they did not disappoint and went way above and beyond our expectations. Our bachelorette weekend was at the Loews and some of the other places we went to were FDR at the Delano and prime fish. Both were good. Our only mistake was leaving STK were the dance floor was hopping to meet a promoter that never even showed at Mynt. STK is totally impressive and the one place all the girls bragged about! Lucky me I live blocks away and just found my new favorite steak place.

The food is okay not great, thankfully the steak is however choice grade and prepared. However my water glass stayed empty my other drink didn’t arrive till the main course I hate that. If I’m going to charged a premium act like it matters. Keeping in mind it was early and I and my date where about the only ones in the resturant. This leads me to I am very unlikely to return because it was just alright and I really wanted to enjoy it.

I’m an avid Unilocal user, and I know many businesses that rely on Unilocal for word of mouth so it takes a lot for me to write a negative review. I decided to bring my mother here for her birthday. Walking in the hostess asked if my complete party was there, I said we were missing 1 person…5 out of 6. She then said she couldnt sit us until our complete party was there… Mind you the place was not busy and and there were tables empty everywhere. Wasn’t a big deal at all. Once my full party was there, I reminded the hostess and a couple walked in to be seated. She sat them first before seating us. I found that a bit rude, and felt like we were totally skipped. Already I’m a bit aggravated with the seating situation. Drinks were good, but food could have been better. Portions lack for the price you’re paying. DJ is a nice touch. Service was NOT good. Had to ask for bread 3 times before it finally came to the table. When it came time to sing my mom happy birthday it was just 1 person! Awkward and very underwhelming. Last but not least our server tried to keep $ 100 of ours in cash. Either A. they hired someone who doesn’t know simple math and how to split a check just 2 ways… Or B. he just tried to be slick(pretty sure it’s hamburger b) Would have had a way better experience, left satisfied, and spent $ 300 less at Outback lol.

Just a fun place to enjoy a great piece of meat. The NY Strip was like butter. Great sides like brocolini asparagus and mash potatoes and some of the greatest bread with blue cheese. Orfelina was a delightful server. Met all of our needs.

5 Stars for Customer Service. For starters I’m from California. We visited Miami over the Memorial day weekend and that was our first mistake. The streets were crazy busy, tourists everywhere and not the nicest people you wanna be around. After eating at numerous tasteless places we decided to treat ourselves to STK Miami! We call around 6pm and make reservations for 9pm. After a fairly long walk we arrive to this beautiful establishment and greeted very nicely by the front desk team who confirms our reservation. Asked me to have a seat by the lounge and that our table is almost ready. At this point we’re all super excited and looking forward to wonderful night with great food! So we waited by the bar and hung out and took pictures, and we waited, and we waited, and we waited some more, till almost 30 minutes later i decide to go and ask what the status is on our table. The lovely hostess tells me they are waiting for 4 different tables to leave so that I can be seated. Now, Im from LA, you cant just expect people to leave once they get the check. People hang out and talk and relax after a big meal. I get it. But how can you tell me that you can only seat me on a table for 4 people when I’m looking at a couple sitting in a booth that can seat at least 5 maybe 6. Anyways, we waited a little bit more till almost 45 minutes after arriving and we get seated. Mind you at this point the excitement we had 45 minutes was diminished due to the wait time. We were greeted by a lovely waitress who took our drink order and appetizers, followed by another young lady who stated she was one of the managers of STK Miami and was so sincere and apologized and offered us some free appetizers. Yes Please! The staff was amazing to say the least. Very attentive very courteous. We order our steaks and this is where it goes a bit more downhill. 2 out of 4 steaks were all waaayyyyyyy under cooked. My wife’s Sirloin came out with a heart beat. My friends wives filet seemed to have more blood that juice. My 24oz Porterhouse and my friends 24oz Porterhouse was cooked to perfection. However, my wife wouldn’t be able to eat her steak the way it was brought, so I gave her my Porterhouse and took her Sirloin. At this point we were so excited for the steak I didn’t want them to take it back and dry it up. I’m OK with red meat so I did enjoy it. After we brought up the mistake to management they again very sincerely apologized and offered to make it right by giving us some free shots! Yes Please! All in all we had a great time in Miami. I would love to visit Miami again, however I don’t know if I would stop by STK again.

To get to the point, I expected way better. I was completely underwhelmed by the food. Best parts of the night, drinks, sliders and the DJ was amazing! Great atmosphere, highly recommend hanging out at high tops at bar if on a second or third date. The bartender a tall Caucasian male with a beard, was great. He had my husband and I laughing as we waited for our table, which is always a good start. He made me cucumber stiletto which is on their drink specials and it was amazing!!! So refreshing so smooth. The food… We started off with sliders which were $ 20 for two. I feel like there is an unwritten rule about sliders, like there should always be three… Maybe that’s just me. But the sliders were best part of the night(food) My husband got a skirt steak, which he asked for medium and was given medium rare, no worries. Still good but small. There was no wow factor in the steak. For sides he got lobster Mac and cheese, and creamed spinach. The lobster Mac and cheese had ONE piece of lobster. For $ 40 dollars! Which is crazy to me. I expected the Mac and cheese to be creamy and delicious but was not. Shortly after digging into it, it turned into box cold dry Mac. The creamed spinach was gross… Wet spinach with some sort of sauce which had no flavor… Yuck. Where was the CREAMY spinach I imagined!!! I decided to get the tuna tartare(as a meal) I love tuna(was not too hungry) And it was nothing to rave about but the tuna did taste fresh. The bottom sauce I wasn’t too crazy about. Reasons why we did not speak to our server? Although she was good, she unfortunately disappeared while we ate… When we first got the food she asked if it was ok, yes at the time yes it was. However, during the meal she didn’t not stop by or really after… She came to drop off the desert menu. But do not get me wrong, she was not bad. She was attentive when at our table and very detailed. She politely explained anything we asked. It was a Saturday night and they were slammed. At that point, once our plates have been retrieved and we are over it, what good does it do to complain if not in the moment? We were a table of four and it came out to 234, other couple got two skirt steaks, drinks, two sides… Reasonable check. But I can say with so many restaurants in Miami, I cannot see myself returning unfortunately.

Quick Background about me: 10 years in the hospitality industry(from dishwasher, server, manager, you name it!). Have worked as a personal chef. Traveled extensively through Europe, lived in Africa and South America, Now the U.S. I find myself a foodie, eat out almost every night with friends, and pretty decent at wine… Review: Not sure where to start here… I like the atmosphere, upbeat popular place with loud music and a decent crowd. Note: do not come here if you want a quiet table or for conversation, the music and crowd is loud. My friend had to repeat herself 4x because the waiter simply could not hear what she was ordering. Seated rather quickly, waiter and any sort of bussers was MIA for a good 7 – 10 minutes without any of our glasses of waters filled. Sometimes people are busy, this happens quite often. Waiter finally comes over, seemed a bit panicked and did not give any sort of spiel or recommendations but more of a «so are we ready to order??» The waters though. One girl never got a glass so it took about 3 attempts to catch a busser whizzing by to try and get a glass of water for her. It took until after the appetizer to successfully ask the food runner for the water. Shining staff of the moment: hosts– friendly and professional. Right on. Back to the silverware/plating. Not sure who made this purchase but they do not go together. The plate is awkwardly shaped so when you try to rest your knife on your plate while you take a bite of your steak, the knife slips all over the place. 2 girls had the knives slip into their laps because you can’t place the silverware down unless it’s directly on the table… I would look into it… Food was good. Props to the chef for the steak being cooked properly and food coming out in a timely manner. Only downer were the truffle fries, more like Kraft Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of Kid fries. Desserts are the same cost as Prime 112(doughnuts and apple tart) and about ¼ the size. Skip the dessert, head to Prime. Would go back for the blue cheese biscuits. Other wise…

First timer for the Miami location. Went here last month(March) while in town for WMC weekend(on a Monday, followed by Rockwell — lol) & it was a great experience. Went with my bf & group of friends, enjoyed the food, drinks, & music. I recently gave up chicken/meat, so I was hesitant to order fish at a steak restaurant, but the sea bass I got was absolutely delicious & highly recommend it. It also had a great looking crowd — which is always important to me. Only thing I would suggest to tweak, would be the lighting. As it was extremely dark when our food was served, etc. Couldn’t really see anything. Lol.

The restaurant vibes are awesome. They had a dj booth & the music was GREAT! Fun crowd. The food was good. The side dishes weren’t too good. Don’t get the mac & cheese. The Brussel sprouts were very sweet. The broccoli wasn’t too bad. The fillet medallion was flavorful, but it didn’t come out hot. The only complaint I have about this place is that the music is so loud the waiters can’t hear you talk… It’s annoying that every second I had to scream to talk to a waiter & he still couldn’t hear me so he kept on walking. My waiter brought the wrong side dish because he couldn’t hear me. Service needs to be better… It was starting to really tick me off.

STK deserves 10 stars! Amazing atmosphere, employees, food, and drinks! I heard so much about their sliders and dessert that I ate really light apps, which were great. The sliders were phenomenal!!! I wanted to order another serving instantly. We tried the churros and ice cream for dessert. They were amazing. Can’t wait to visit again!

Fancy, but not exaggerated. Great food, great service and interesting people. Surprisingly much better than the NY location, people are classier and the environment is more ‘restaurante kind’ instead of craziness at the bar like the on in the City. The octopus was delish and the rib eye juice and tender, service was on top and fast, would definitely go back to try out the other dishes. Great for date!

It was aight. Here’s the breakdown Bread — 4 stars since its was super flavorful with the truffle butter Beet salad — 3 stars as it was refreshing but nothing special. Steak — 2 stars for the dry aged kc strip. It didn’t have the depth of flavor that I’m used to for a dry age at this price point. Sides — 4 stars for the truffle Mac and cheese, shrooms and creamed spinach I’d probably skip it next time I’m in Miami since there are so many other restaurant I want to try.

My husband and I went here for our Valentines Day dinner and it was a m a z i n g!!! When we first walked in the hostess were super polite and asked us did we have a reservation, and immediately sat us. The lighting was super dim, but there were candles and the romantic scene was set. Now this was a super upscale restaurant so you would think they’ll have the lady with the harp in the corner playing but they didn’t. They had a DJ playing old school 90s RnB! Omg I was moving and grooving in my seat all throughout the dinner. Our waitress was Eva or Ellen and she was amazing! She gave us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne and answering any of our crazy questions. For Valentines day they had a 3 course dinner option for 2 and that’s what we got! The first item was Rockerfeller oysters, but these were heavenly. I literally ate all 7 of them. Next came the main course 2 loberstails and a nice size steak. Intially we were looking at each other like this can’t possibly be enough food for us, but believe me when I tell you we were stuff, and I couldn’t finish my portion of steak. The steak was juicy, and super flavorful. I’m not a big seafood person, but the lobster was so tasty and it wasn’t rubbery or anything like that. The house sauce was really sweet and I wanted A-1 sauce, but they didn’t have that. Once the dessert got to us we were way too full to even devour it, but it was so tasty! This was definatley worth the bill, the customer service and the food was amazing

A night to remember! STK Miami is, by far, the BESTSTEAKHOUSE on South Beach. Walking along Collins Ave we were so happy to discover STK had opened, as we are frequently at STK Downtown in NYC. It is absolutely beautiful. Décor on point. Modern & Crisp, a place you want to be. I had the pleasure of meeting Noreen(Norlisha), Maitre’d. She’s a pure delight! I immediately changed our plans for Sat night and made a Rez at STK! We arrived and were greeted by Noreen, she remembered us then immediately seated at a wonderful table by Lisa. The vibe and energy were upbeat and popping similar to NYC. We felt at home and excited that it was going to be s great evening! DJGARCIA was in the house. He started slow… disco and such, them started cranking HOUSE, the music we love! Our server, Idy, was simply amazing! Probably the best we have ever had. She knew her menu inside & out. Started us with Bottled Water. Then cocktails. I, of course, ordered their Green Intensity… Just delish. Jalapeño fresh & peppery. Hubby had their Classic Martini. We ordered the Shellfish Platter, a variety of Oysters, Shrimp, Crab Legs & Cerviche. On ice of course… Delish! Krispy Lobster Tails were a treat. Spicy like we like it! Our guests arrived… Idy was right there serving up cocktails with an energetic smile that spelled FUN! The music was pounding. The food was so very good. The energy was infectious. This was not only dining at its best, but clubbing also! Porterhouse was delivered hot, juicy, medium cooked & Mouthwatering! Seared Big Eye Tuna was seared to perfection! Sides were the best ever! The Jalapeño Cheddar Grits were simply crazy delicious. I kept going back for more! And of course, we had to order for our first time STK guests, the Mashed Potatoes… You won’t find better, ANYWHERE! Broccolini was superb. An amazing melding of flavor. While feasting on this amazingly prepared food, Manager, Frederic Alexander, kept stopping by with his amazing smile that just dazzled! A true professional, Fred, adds a personal flair to STK! His warmth and energy let you know that your STK experience will be more than positive! Every detail is paid attention to. He is a true integral part of their success! Sarah Percy, Manager, also stopped to introduce herself. All the staff were happy to be part of STK and it showed! Cocktails, shots were flowing. DJGARCIA rocked! This place is Sexy and Modern! Not for boring diners… it’s Fun and Pulses Energy! We ordered their signature miniature ice cream cones that are suspended in a floating tray. Also Key Lime Donuts, flavor sensation! Not a detail was missed. We danced til the wee hours! An amazing group of restaurant professionals! An amazing chef & a delightful young menu! Not your typical steakhouse. Our heartfelt thanks to Idy, Fred, & Noreen for an absolutely wonderful, fantastic night full of memories! See you in April! STK is a blast! You’ll LOVEEEEEEEIT!!!

I really like this place!!! My family and I went the day before Valentine’s Day!!! My Sister and Brother-in-law had Porter House and I had the lamb, the lamb was delicious!!! The sides are a-la-carte, so we had the truffle fries, lobster macaroni and cheese, and delectable cauliflower au gratin. We also had a good almond brownie with a fantastic macadamia brittle. The ice cream tasted homemade. I was throughly impressed and full from trendy restaurant. Oh, and the DJ was the cherry on top. The Dj played popular music!!! I knew when we heard Micheal Jackson we were going to enjoy ourselves.

First time going to STK, my husband and I have a steak house which we often go too however, we wanted to go and try something different. We were late to our reservations but they were still very kind enough to sit us down within a reasonable amount of time. The host were very nice as well. The restaurant has a very trendy fun vibe, loud music, large bar area, cool décor, dim lighting… The have a dancing area on the second floor. I didn’t see it personally but I was told. Although, the music was very loud I personally enjoyed it. It was a little hard to have an actual conversation. Luckily, my husband and I were right next to each other on a booth. The server was nice and efficient. We ordered the«lil burgers» as an appetizer and it was delish. Our main dish was a 6oz filet mignon and my husband had a 42 oz bone in rib eye steak, we shared a mash potatoes on the side. I originally asked for my steak butterfly cut and it didn’t come out that way but it was still great! My husbands steak did come out a little bit on the well-done side… Although he asked for it medium well. Anyways… Close enough right! Ha The side was small… we did share however, found the the portion was maybe really for one person. For desert we had the fudge brownie with Ice cream on the side and it was not that good. I’m huge on desserts so I was disappointed. Would I come here again? Honestly, probably not by choice. Although, everything was overall good I personally will stick to Prime.

We have been to STK several times and always enjoyed our experience. It’s a cool spot, with good cocktail list, and a nice scene. Not as much of a club type scene as the one in Vegas, but still fun. The food has been very good on each occasion and it was particularly outstanding recently when we had a private room with about 20 people. The staff did a great job and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. Typically not as crowded as places like prime 112, so it’s a bit easier to make a reservation here. Definitely worth checking out, enjoy.

I would give it 3.5 stars if I could… But it was closer to 3 than a 4 for me. I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Maybe that was the mistake. We arrived about 20 minutes early so the hostess recommended we grab a seat near the bar and order a drink before we were sat. We obliged and made our way past the bar itself and was pleasantly surprised there was a table available, so we sat, and were greeted rather quick to get a drink order in. we were required to give them a CC in order to order here. so far so good. However, 20 minutes later, still no drinky. and lets just say, being in a crowded bar, dj blasting those top 40 hits and grooving in the background, you almost need something in your hand to feel complete. However, we were not so lucky. even the hostess came to us and told us our seats were ready and still no drinks, so my friend went to the bar, explained we never got our drinks and did not want them any longer since we were going to have win with our steaks at our seats. He had to wait a minute to get his credit card back and then we went to the hostess stand to now be seated. No hard feelings, we ordered our drinks from the waiter and our meals. I ordered the Scallop appetizer and to my surprise only two tiny little scallops came out on a rather big plate… Ironic maybe? I was surprised that’s what you get for $ 19 however they were good. not sure if 20 bucks good, but never-the-less, good. For dinner I have the grouper and my friend ordered a sirloin steak. He asked for it Medium well, it was more Medium to medium rare but he liked it. Also, the dishes don’t come with sides, those are separate so he ordered a side of mashed potatoes. All was actually really good. I give it the 3 stars because for the price, I think you can get just as well or better quality food. The ambiance was dark and seductive even, great place for a date. The lighting is flattery. Just keep that in mind when you start pounding back the $ 25 drinks and decide to go home with a girl who you think looks like Adriana Lima or a guy who looks like Tom Brady and end up with a Coyote Ugly. just saying =)

I decided to go to STK to celebrate a birthday(dinner) I picked this place over Red Steakhouse, because it had more stars… I parked valet $ 20, we arrived 20 minutes late, and they held our table which was great. The ambiance was fabulous and it made you look forward to the food. Unfortunately, this is where the 3 stars come in: We ordered the Lil SRB for apetizer and to my $ 20 surprise there were only TWO mini burgers that just didn’t wow us with flavor. That was a red flag for value. We ordered the«rack» of lamb medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. However, only two of the pieces had the bone(I prefer it on the bones) as a side we ordered the creamy 2 creamy mash but meant to order only one and the fries instead. My hub ordered the Sirloin which was tender and good, also the Mac and Cheese which had basil and it was a bit overpowering with the flavor. We asked the server to replace one mash with fries, he said it will be out right away, and that turned into 15 mins. The fries were a bit bland in flavor. That said, we felt that the value was lacking for the prices and I wouldn’t go back. The NYC location was amazing in terms of food and service. This location needs to improve on the food. The ambience was great and theirbwine list is huge. Wish I can give at least 4 stars, but just didn’t love the food :/

A must visit while in Miami. The food was great, the atmosphere was trendy and the wait staff was very helpful with menu and suggested great wine. The Tater Tots were the size of marshmallows and were delicious. We had filet cooked medium rare and it was perfection. One guest had tuna and it was some of the best. We ate at 9:30pm and by 11:30 it was hopping and more of a night club scene. Great bar and fun music!

My husband and I celebrated our 11-year wedding anniversary here. That means we have celebrated 10 previous anniversaries, and I can’t tell you where we celebrated for all ten. But I will NEVER forget my 11th year anniversary, thanks to STK. My husband made reservations, and upon arrival, we were immediately seated — that’s NEVER happened at any other restaurant, even after making reservations we have to wait at least 30 minutes! The staff was so attentive, and every server and manager that walked by our table wished us a happy anniversary. Our server was hands-down amazing! He offered great recommendations, and the food was fantastic — everything from the bread to the wine to the tuna tartar to the filet. He then delivered a surprise«Happy Anniversary» dessert — and then took a shot of Baby Guinness with us! The atmosphere was perfect: upbeat and trendy but still sophisticated and classy. It was romantic yet still relaxing. I will absolutely and irrevocably be going back, and recommending it to everyone. Thank you, STK, for making our day so special.

We weren’t seated until 11pm but the bartender made up for the delay with a free drink, a nice touch. The table bread was amazing. The beef tartar was descent, somewhat under seasoned though. We stayed in Miami to celebrate our 9 year anniversary and the hotel staff recommended STK to us. I had also read some reviews online so we we were excited to try it. Great atmosphere, the music was 80s-90s, which I loved. We ordered east coast/west coast oysters and they were super yummy. We ordered two different salads, wild mushrooms, asparagus, and the bone in cowboy steak to share. Everything was amazing! The brussel sprouts alone could have satisfied me. SO good. We didn’t order dessert as we we were pretty full. Our waiter, Robert, was awesome and very attentive. The other staff were also great. Our water glasses were never empty. Overall, STK is a great option and I would definitely come back again and recommend to others. Great Miami spot.

STK… an ultra cool steak house. Ultra cool is only good if the experience delivers. The place is cool with a bar and seating area immediately to your right as you enter with the dining room in back The tones are muted and stylish amid the blackish colors. The tunes are rock, so it is different from the mahogany dark woods of the traditional steakhouse The menu is reflects the overall upbeat feel of the place. Try the cocktails. I liked the Mojito with ginger. For the mains, I had the chopped salad with a flavorful dressing. For the main my girl had the Kobe steak, it was cut in small slices like tuna My fish was tuna and it was in cubes… like almost medallions of steak. It was cooked perfectly which is not easy given the presentation Desserts are inspired as well. There will be 5 you will find interesting. We had the milkshake and churros. Great combo as one seemed to improve the other You will like STK. it lives up to its promise as a different type of steakhouse

I was very pleased after dining at STK for the first time last weekend. My friend and I made a reservation for Saturday night on Open Table and was surprised that there was an opening! After receiving a confirmation text, we realized we’d be running late. STK was able to accommodate us and responded with another text confirming they would! I loved the vibes I got from the second I walked in the place. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was exactly what you would want out of a south beach restaurant.(Definitely recommend taking friends from out of town here) Moving on to the food… not only does everything STK put in front of you look scrumptious but it also tastes as good as it looks! We started out with the ceviche, which was a tasty & light appetizer since we may have overly indulged on their house bread and chive butter. My friend ordered the chili rubbed rack of lamb and a side of the parm fries. The lamb was extremely tender and the flavor was spot on! The fries speak for themselves. I love steak but I opted for a lighter alternative– I ordered the grilled octopus and the hearts of romaine… the two dishes ended up being a lot of food! I really enjoyed the grilled octopus! Usually places skimp you on the tender parts and give you mostly tentacles but not STK! Again, seasoned to perfection! To top it all off– we had the fudge brownie for desert… only because it was my birthday. Okay now that I wrote it all out, we tried/ate a lot of their food, which is usually what we do when it’s our first time somewhere. It was rather easy to do that here though– being that the food was amazing! Highly recommend this place for date night or large party occasions!

The good: The food was delicious The service was great Best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had The bad: My steak was over cooked by a lot so had to wait on a replacement. Let the server suggest some wine. He and I don’t like the same Pinot Noir. The ugly: The AC was apparently broke. It was sooooooooo hot. It def made the meal less enjoyable. Despite the bad and ugly I still give it a great rating. They corrected my steak and the hot place wasn’t of their doing. Def a place I’ll go back again and again.

Wow! I’m so excited that I was able to enjoy STK for the first time in South Beach. I am a planner, so I made reservations for my best friends birthday pretty far in advance. I was impressed when I received a personal voice mail from STK Miami the day before confirming the Open Table reservation I made. They also answered my questions when I called back. Fast forward to Friday evening, we were running a little late to our 8th reservation. We literally arrived right at 8:15 and they graciously seated us right away! We sat at a nice table for two not too far from the dj! The atmosphere was energetic, buzzy and it is truly beautiful inside. We were greeted and brought our drinks promptly. We then had a pretty lengthy wait for our food. But the delicious pull apart bread with blue cheese butter sauce! So addictive! I ordered the short rib, and mac and cheese. My best friend, and the birthday girl, ordered the rack of lamb and creamed spinach. There was plenty of each side, so we split them. I will honestly say that is the most amazing mac and cheese I’ve had at any restaurant. I literally loved it. Cheesy, hot, golden crust, perfect cheddar flavors. Ahhh and the short rib was tender, flavorful, and a really hearty sized portion! I love that the waitress provided my friend her choice of dessert in honor of her special day. Everyone there, including two managers checked in to ensure we were enjoying the evening. I am now looking forward to trying STK in DC Here’s hoping they can impress my stilettos off like STK Miami did. I will also just say the delmonico steak was the special and boy did it look superb!

Arrived with reservations from open table at 9:15 on a Friday night and we were immediately seated. The ambience was very chic and made me feel like I was in a club. The DJ has a booth and was mixing great music all night long. Nice crowd to be a part of. The waitress was excellent, and I wish I had remembered her name.(She had cute black rimmed glasses). She suggested drinks and my friend and I got the two she suggested; they were excellent. Mine was a Miami Mule: a perfect mix of tangy and sweet. Everything came out with perfect timing. First the drinks, then the delicious bread with a perfectly accompanied dipping sauce. Shortly after, both east and west coast oysters were on our table: delicious and the tarter sauce had a very pleasant kick. Our plates were cleared and the food came out in what felt like record timing. Both of our 10oz filets cooked to perfection. I got the STK sauce which was good, but I don’t really believe in dipping that deliciously grilled meat in sauce. I only tried it to taste. Our sides were the excellent truffle fries(enough to share for two) and the asparagus. The truffle fries are covered with parmesan and were mouth watering good. The asparagus was an excellent side to the rest of our choices. It wasn’t heavy and, cooked perfectly with lemon and olive oil. The entire meal took all of about 45 minutes which was awesome because we had to get back to our hotel to get ready for going out at LIV. I never felt rushed, even though the service was on point. If only I wasn’t going out after, I would have made room for dessert but I didn’t want to go there. I would have been in a food coma for sure. I am happy one just opened in Chicago my home town. Can’t wait for more STK.

3.5 OHSTK. Once upon a time, I loved you. I still have feelings for you, but they are slowly fading. You see, the old STK location(now Beachcraft) was large and in charge, chic and fabulous. I went often, raved about it, and even hosted a private event or two upstairs. I waited anxiously for this new spot to open(felt like forever!), but sadly this version is like the cliff notes of its former self. LOCATION I’ve now been back twice. I can’t help but keep comparing both locations. After all, it’s the same exact restaurant concept, same name,(mostly) same menu, and in the same hotel(despite the various name changes). This new location is significantly smaller. The staff seems to still be getting used to working there. We kept being told to «wait» while someone went to get answers to our questions. There is no large dance area either. SERVICE Service has been a work-in-progress both times. I’m still, however, annoyed over our visit last month. Our last waiter was the equivalent to Seinfeld’s soup nazi. Never heard of it? Look it up. So much for going in to celebrate a friend’s birthday AKA a «HAPPY» occasion. You know, the type of event one celebrates at STK? Unfortunately, our waiter Justin didn’t get the happy-happy-joy-joy memo and he basically made us cut our night short. To make a long story short, any small talk was basically returned with a blank stare. He made it clear we were to only address him if it was food/drinks related. Wine was poured without offering anyone a taste first and the pours were too large. Orders were taken military style: barked. «What would you like?» «Sides?» «Entrée?» «Temperature?» Yes sir! How dare us introduce ourselves, make a joke, or give you eye contact! Pfft. All the other waiters nearby interacted, swayed to the music, took photos for their diners, and acted out the elevated club-like experience one expects(and heavily pays for) at STK. We felt like the kids on time-out. Don’t talk. Don’t blink. At this point, I’m thinking IHOP and a boom box would have been more fun. At first, we tried to ignore it, but it just became increasingly awkward as the night went on. This was not the service we hoped for and always had at the original location. Instead of staying(as planned) for after dinner drinks and music, we hightailed it out of there once dinner ended. Good riddens, Justin(and thank you Hyde Beach for saving our night!). I’m sorry, but it’s not cool to pay top dollar for sh*tty service. While there, I tweeted about our crappy experience. Someone replied right away, apologized, asked for my information, and said«a manager would be reaching out shortly.» A MONTHAGO. Don’t even bother by now, but thanks. It’s not the thought that counts. FOOD The Starter Bread Lil’ BRGs Kumamoto Oysters Chili Rubbed Rack of Lamb Wahoo Ceviche Tuna Tartar Tater Tots Tomahawk Steak Sweet Corn Pudding Seared Foie Gras Filet Mignon Lobster Mac N Cheese Crispy Lobster Tails Truffle Fries Churro Milkshake Key Lime Donuts Ice STK Cones Fortunately, or unfortunately, I LOVE the food at STK! I’m not talking culinary genius or Michelin star contenders here. Just good olé, fattening, comfort food done right with some added finer ingredients and touches, here and there. On another good note, kudos to the waitress who attempted at all costs to get the bar to make me the signature PINKELEPHANTMARTINI from the old location. It didn’t work out, but she tried! And she even had a smile. Imagine that! I wish they would add it to the menu again. At the end of the day, STK is not truly back just yet. Things are much different now than they were when they first closed. A couple of years has made a huge difference in the Miami dining scene and thankfully, the options are endless! Let’s hope they can get rid of their bad apples, rally, and stick around for the long haul.

I had eaten at the STK at the Fontainebleau Hotel in the past and now that it re-opened, I just had to try it. I think the new STK is even better than the old STK. The ambiance and the energy in this place impacts you from the moment you walk in. It is just exuberant. The DJ was playing a medley of 80’s and 90’s dance music. It just makes you want to chair dance at the table. Our server was very attentive and courteous — which is a rarity in South Beach. The manager was also very attentive. We had a great experience! We had the seared scallops which were absolutely mouth watering. The crispy lobster tails were good, although I am not the biggest fan of lobster. The tuna tartare was great and the mini burgers were on point.(Juicy and cooked to perfection) The only thing I would say was not great was the hearts of palm salad. It was lacking a little bit of flavor and luster. Great spot… great music, great service. Perfect for a Friday or Saturday night(or any night) to get your crew pumped up for the evening.
