Terrible food. Terrible service. But hey, it’s kosher. Yuck. The chairs are wobbly, the waiter is rude, the place is unclean, food is below average. This is NOTHING like a good Israeli shawarma joint. Stay away, unless you gave to eat kosher. Then, you’re screwed.

Great Israeli grill. All fresh, delicious food. Small place, big taste, worth the trip past the other kosher restaurants. Friendly staff too with quick service.

The food was ok not great. Somehow my shish Kabob that was supposedly«straight off the grill» came out cold to me. It seemed like it was either rewarmed or it was sitting on the counter for 15 minutes before I received it. But the worst part was the terrible service. Waiter was extremely rude and nasty. I asked him for a small tahini for my food and he refused to give it to me unless I paid for it. But it’s the only kosher place in south beach, so I guess you just gotta live with it

I really like to try and root for independent businesses, but going to this place was probably the only regrettable dining encounter during our entire trip to Miami Beach(and we dabbled and ate at a lot of places, too.) The red flag should’ve been the fact that we were told to sit down at a table that still had dirty plates on it. Yes, seating is very limited I know… but what was to follow left us feeling unwelcome and neglected: 1) So there we sat, with someone else’s dirty plates and napkins on our table top.(Seriously, who does this?) But I was hungry from walking and chose to ride it out. The owner did summon another worker to clean up shortly after. 2) We weren’t given menus. After seeing him hand menus to a local couple that came in after us, I had to get up and ask him for some. 3) When our food finally came out… it wasn’t even what we ordered. Womp womp. I picked at the fries on the plate not knowing if my gyro came with them? A moment later, he took back the plates and gave us our correct orders. 4) The meat in my gyro was honestly pretty dry — Do they have a monopoly on mediterranean/mid east food in Miami or something? Not sure how they hold a 4-star Unilocal rating. The whole Kosher angle is probably what keeps them in business. 5) The owner continued to be too preoccupied on the phone and never did check up on us. If he did, he would have seen that I still needed the drink I ordered. Again, I had to ask to get one. Perhaps it was just an off day, but there were only about 3 other tables in the place. Needless to say, I don’t recommend it here.

Delicious, perfectly seasoned Middle Eastern dishes. We had their falafel, Israeli salad, and combo salad(hummus, baba ghanoush, and a variety of marinated veggies). Even their pita bread(a home style version supplied by Pita House Bakery) was delicious — fluffy with great mouthfeel. Service was friendly and helpful. The space is a bit cramped, but totally manageable. Highly recommend.

LOVE this place. I had the falafel pita. Very fresh, very generous portions, great prices. Never had a bad meal here. The staff here is also great. Very organized and efficient. Fantastic service. Among the best on the beach.

Tiny little hole in the wall, but this is one of the last remaining Kosher restaurants in Miami Beach. The food is good, with lots of veggie and fresh options but most people seem to get falafel or schwarma for lunch and the schwarma is fairly good(but of course no dairy). The prices are somewhat high(well, it’s South Beach) and the single person serving(who I understand is the Israeli owner) can be a bit brusque but overall seems to intend well and works to get everyone into his tiny space with about 30 seats crammed in. It’s worth a stop for good, reasonably quick food that will fill you up but I wouldn’t necessarily call it «cheap» as some have suggested.

Very nice Middle Eastern restaurant– the SHAWARMA is pretty good and the Humus with the falafel balls was nice to — not like in Israel but much better then a lot of places in MD(where I’m from)

Not directly on Collins– a small spot but don’t be alarmed! Food is excellent! I had the Turkey Shwarma on pita bread. Also try the hummus… amazingly fresh! Their ac could have been cranked a little higher but other than that amazing.

Really good Falafel. Delicious! Shwarma was a bit too heavy on the spices, not too hot just too must spices for my particular taste. Fast delivery.

Small hole in a wall place. At times this place can get pretty packed, like the time I visited. We were ignored for quite a bit since there was only one waiter. Ordered from the lunch menu and the waiter got our order wrong. There was really nothing special about the food. I ordered the gyro and it was okay. My sister ordered the shawarma on pita and she did not like it at all. I tasted it, and it tasted no different than my gyro. Overall, cheap food. A way to pass the hunger in your tummy if you don’t want to pay restaurant priced food.

Everything is tasty and pretty fresh, but for a $ 10 sandwich I was expecting chicken breast rather than leg meat. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal and the service was friendly and prompt.

Picked up lunch here recently while visiting Miami Beach. Be forewarned, the place is hard to find unless you are walking to it(it is located on a very narrow side street, around the corner from the main thoroughfare). So you can pretty much forget about finding somewhere to park a reasonable distance away. The restaurant itself is small. There are a few tables cramped together on one side and a tiny area in the back where the bathroom is, but other than that you just walk in and the counter with the register is literally right next to the front door. I ordered a schwarma pita with fries to go, a fairly simple order, which took about 10 minutes until it was ready. The food was not outstanding but still pretty good. It was very expensive, but that’s to be expected on Collins Avenue. Overall, I’d return here if I was back in the same area and hungry, but I might look somewhere else first(especially if atmosphere or room for people is important).

I literally just walked out of Pita Loca with my fiancé. I’m from New York, and have eaten from some pretty disgusting Halal carts., but nothing was more disgusting than this waiters chronic coughing into his hands, scratching his ass, running his hands through his hair and picking his nose while handling multiple different cellphones, the restaurant phone and cash and register. Either he had a really long shift or he could not stand up straight without leaning on the counter. I felt like I was on MTV’s boiling point. The kitchen is open and there’s a low glass wall divider which separates the kitchen from the rest of the restaurant, so everything is visible. The food prep guy was not wearing gloves or any hair net. My fiancé and I couldn’t have been in the restaurant for longer than 25 minutes and there must’ve been over a dozen different Hasidism men walking in and out of the kitchen. The only reason we had the hummus was because it was scooped. Does Miami not have any health sanitation regulations for food distribution places such as this eatery? We left completely disgusted, we did not want to eat any food that was handled by this waiter. My fiancé sent her food back from how disgusted she was and this place was also very overpriced, they charge you an automatic 15% gratuity for the most disgusting repulsive service I’ve ever received but they do have the best hummus. We will not be returning back, eater beware!

I forgot to write this review from back in January but Pita Loca is the best shawarma place in Miami! We rode bikes here from our hotel on a Sunday(they are closed on Saturdays) and shared the shawarma in the lafa bread and falafel in the pita. Both were delicious, cooked perfectly and came with the best sauces and salads inside the sandwich. The French fries were also amazing. The service is good, the restaurant is very casual and kind of small but definitely a must in south beach! Will definitely be back the next time we visit!

The best Middle Eastern /Israeli food in South Beach. The salads are fresh and taste amazing. The Humus is very good(which is a rare thing to find down here). My favorite is the chicken shish kebab and the delicious salads.

I wish we had found this place earlier in our stay. The food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious, a delightful alternative to the tourist trap, dumbed down food from the strip. We had babaganoush(sp?) which was the best I have ever had, falafel and chicken shwarma. Everything was tasty… perfectly seasoned goodness. The service is so friendly and personal. The place is modestly decorated and smaller, clean and bright. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Family friendly. The server offered to take our family pic and was super nice and talkative. We had a great experience and look forward to returning when we are in the area again.
