I had such high hopes to only be given a major letdown. Not even free drinks could save them. One Liner of their Drinks Watermelon lime sublime for a summer day. Bittersweet symphony was too much of a bitter symphony and not enough of anything else. Aztec drink was a pineapple drink with a nice bitter and a spicy ending on the throat. Deal closer light and refreshing, but underwhelming Saffron grapefruit drink was blah. Very grapefruit with a dry finish Asked for their take on old fashioned and got boring. As for the place itself, it shoots for dark and intimate, but really all it is a loud mess when it comes to ambiance. it really is ruined on how loud the music is inside. I feel they are having an identity crisis between a cocktail lounge and a Miami club. It is not Space in there. Give me the Broken Shaker, Blackbird, or Regent any day

Went here awhile ago and tried out the drinks a few days before the official opening. WOW. I love this place. What a creative concept and the way it was put together is genius. Go for the drinks, the show or just the people watching. I promise you won’t be disappointed. The chem lab is fascinating and the mixologists really know what they are doing. Delicious to say the least.

This lounge is one of the best places in South Beach for mixed drinks! We were visiting this place and there were lots of hot Russian chicks there. Superb drinks+hot women = James Bond’s place! Service was awesome and prices were reasonable considering location. Next time we are in Miami — we are heading back to Drogerie!

One of the few bars that are worth a visit. Outstanding service and artistically crafted drinks make this small hotel bar unique. Where else would you get fresh cilantro, mint, jalapenos, vanilla or cucumber in your drinks? Yes five stars!

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Everything was put together very well; it’s classy and creative. It’s just a very sexy atmosphere. The lighting with the music and the décor… I would highly recommend this place for a date night. Any time I bring friends, I watch their eyes widen and cameras come out! :] That staff is very knowledgable and outgoing. The drinks even better! The staff dress in lab coats which add to the character of the place! If any of you are science majors or in the profession, id highly recommend going here! You’d adore it! Very fun place.

Checked this place out with my lady the other night and had a blast. Walk into the Albion and turn right, where you enter a sexily lit lounge with cozy banquettes and chill music. Albert Trummer of Apothéke(NYC) fame and his bartenders in lab coats mix up über fresh cocktails that indulge the senses and even relieve ailments(uppers and downers available). Really the perfect place for that time after dinner and before the dance clubs. Charmingly situated on James Ave in the heart of South Beach makes it super easy to get to. Relaxed vibe with some bounce, you can spend hours here enjoying all the libations. It still seems somewhat on the DL but it’s clearly a hit with those«in the know.» Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful NEW Mixology-bar with extremely talented bartenders. Very creative cocktails and you can also have them make something to your liking off the card. Come by early, especially in the weekends, since the place fills up quickly. The drinks can be slow at coming however they put this down to the effort in making them so be patient The drinks list is extensive with some imaginative and creative drinks to be enjoyed. Drogerie will become a top bar in South Beach once the word gets out. You will love the Chemical Formulas all over the walls CHECKITOUT!!!

Cedric Gervais once made a song about certain chemical substances (well, he actually had two songs on that topic.) At least in one of them, he might have been talking about this place. As others have mentioned, the theme of this lounge is that different drinks are medicinal and the bartenders wear lab coats. Ironically enough, I believe the second Gervais song was playing as our Cocktail Crawl Crew arrived at Drogerie to continue the night of mild debauchery… To start — and although I’m not a fan of the flavor — the watermelon welcome cocktail was a nice touch and a great bit of marketing to get us hooked on the product. a gateway if you will. I actually liked the dimly lit ambiance and techno soundtrack. My strawberry fennel concoction, ostensibly billed as an aphrodisiac, was smooth and sneakily strong. Yes, it can make a dent in your wallet. I suppose I can vouch for its billed property.

Amazing cocktails, only thing that could be better is to have these in the daytime by the pool! All fresh ingredients and the bartenders put on quite a show while making them, some using fire! My favorite drink was the Strawberry Fennel so far but I will be back to try more.

This is another Miami bar I kept hearing and reading about and wanted to try. The suggestion of a pharmacy like bar, that prepares drinks according to what you«need», was appealing to me. The entrance to the hotel is bright and white, but then you walk through a little hallway and you can see through the glass a dark room filled with medicine-like glass bottles all hand labeled with names like«Horny Goat Weed», and a wall decorated with chemistry drawings, while all the bartenders wear white lab coats. I went in with high expectations. By what I’ve heard these are master mixologists and can make any drink you can desire. I started with one from the menu, or should I say«Prescription List». The prescriptions go by categories like: Stress Reliever, Health & Beauty, Aphrodisiacs, Deal Closer, etc. Since my go to drink is usually rum I went with the Aztec Medicine. This is tart, sour and when it hits your throat you get the«Aztec» part… That kick of spice makes this drink playful and one I would have again. Knowing I liked that one I went back to the bar and asked my mixologist to make something off the menu. Told him I liked rum, lemons/limes, and not sweet drinks. The first one he made was bitter so I returned it. And he started again. The second one was just perfect. Sour, refreshing with a fresh hint of herbs in it. Only problem is that with the loud music I was not able to get the name of it. I told him I really liked it and that started a conversation with him, another of the guys at the bar, and my friends to the point that we ended up trying a «special» drink he made for us. Really good as well. I must admit, at the beginning of the night I thought I would not like this place… It took almost forever to get that first drink. The mixologists do have a little of an arrogant air to them, as if those«medicinal» drinks were preciously needed to save our lives, but, once we started talking to them, and showed appreciation for their«craft», the attitude dropped and they became very pleasant and we enjoyed some amazing drinks, plus they had great music to dance to. Once you pass that first attempt at the bar barrier I think you will learn to like this place as much as I, and my friends, did.

Disappointment: the feeling of dissatisfaction that follows the failure of expectations or hopes to manifest. Wow, does Drogerie fit the bill. After drooling over the prospect to have a local branch of Apotheke, I couldn’t wait to check it out. We went one of the first weekends, and adored the chemistry chic, intimate feel of the place. Our initial exuberance quickly gave way to irritation though, as we discovered multiple cocktails on the menu weren’t available. Was it just because they were so new? Apparently not since return visits seemed to have the exact same issue. If that weren’t frustrating enough, we later discovered the great bathroom failure. Not only does the ladies room require procuring a special key from the bartender, but there is only one room and stall! I mean any venue offering copious amounts of liquids really needs to plan this better. The drinks were pretty good, but at the high price tag I didn’t honestly think they were that much better than the other options in the area(for which I am far more willing to fork over cash for an expertly crafted cocktail). The balance I would expect from a quality libation just wasn’t quite there. The icing on the revolting cake though was the service. My most recent visit I was offered an alternative for the drink that was out. After a series of questions to deduce my flavor profile preferences, the bartender walked away guaranteeing he would whip up something I’d love. Since some of my best cocktail finds have come from the bartender’s choice game I was hopeful. Unfortunately, 30 minutes later I was still waiting, and he never did come back. While waiting I noticed that other people were having serious issues. Other weren’t getting their check, requested drinks, or had to order from multiple bartenders, all during which time the bartenders hung back chatting with each other and occasionally mixing themselves up drinks that they not-too-discretely sipped while the paying patrons waited. The drinks sound interesting in theory, and I appreciate the ambiance, but the staff behind the bar really needs to get their act together. I wanted to give Drogerie the benefit of the doubt, but… fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, and fool me thrice and I’m just a glutton for punishment. Miami has quite the developing cocktail scene and I’ve had some great experiences. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to have one here.

Located inside the Albion Hotel I was excited to see what this bar would be like. The hotel lobby is bright white then you walk into a far back corner and your inside the Drogerie. Dark velvet curtains, so so dark inside that it was scary to me as what I might be stepping on. Very strange décor to me. First glance it was gothic then I turned and saw clear crystals hanging off the ceiling and walls. Hubby gave me a sip of whatever free drink they were giving at the bar. Some kind of watermelon drink that was awful. I spoke with so many of my friends and it seemed that no one really cared for their cocktails. My other friend said he had given the bartender his credit card to start a tab then once our group arrived the bartender walked up and said no more tabs tonight here is your credit card. The bartenders all have on white lab coats, OK seriously give me a break. What are they mad scientist? Oh then the attitude from the bartenders was crazy. My one friend waited 46 minutes for his cocktail and I happened to witness the attitude the bartender gave me friend. It was so bad my friend had to leave and go out into the lobby because he was so upset and he needed to cool down. Another hyped up trendy bar with crappy service, overpriced cocktails where the bartenders think they are special. Not my kind of place at all.

You won’t find a concept like this(early 20th century apotheke/pharmaceutical theme, homemade bitters/elixirs/concoctions) anywhere else in Miami. Drinks are categorized into neat sections catering to your present«condition»(health & beauty, stress relievers, painkillers, pharmaceuticals, aphrodisiacs, my favorite, amongst others). Friendly, passion-ridden, and knowledgeable staff bearing lab coats, deliciously crafted cocktails, great vibe, good music. This bar has it all for those who truly seek a unique experience.

When I think of a mixlogy bar, I think classy. Drogerie is NOT the classy venue. This was the first stop of my bday mixology tour of SoBe. Located inside the Albion Hotel, we needed to simply follow our ears to the obnoxiously loud house music blaring from the bar. Inside, was ridiculously dark. From the moment we sat, I felt pressured by the waitress to order a drink. I can’t just sit & take in the place first? Sheesh! And granted it hasn’t had its grand opening just yet, it seemed as though they were hesitant to make any drinks off menu. A menu that between the guys in the party, we had ordered everything that was available on the menu. I was not particularly pleased with any drink on their menu. In fact, I ended up sending one back — a move I never do. Funny enough, I told the waitress what I like to drink and that’s what she recommended. Seriously leads to me to question if she’s just a pretty face taking orders.(Was she even that pretty?! Too dark to tell.) On the positive side. They did play a lot with fire, making a show of certain drinks. That was pretty cool. Also, they came around with free shots & drinks about three times in the duration of our stay. Seemed like they were just trying to keep us in & prevent us from leaving. I seriously hope this place gets better by the time they have their grand opening. It would be a damn shame for to stay the way it is.

OK— am I not sure what happened on the night i came to visit this bar… All the Unilocal reviews make this place seem like wonderland! No, definitely not. This is not a 5 star lounge. FAR from it. I am sorry but I did not have a great experience. First the valet service was extremely slow as i waited over 10 minutes in my car as there was only one valet parking the cars. Once inside the hotel the lounge is on the right side of the lobby behind a velvet curtain. I will say the décor is pretty cool loved the apothecary theme behind the bar. As we approach the bar, the bartenders dressed in lab coats offer all of us complimentary cocktail.(not sure what I was given but I drank it anyways.) The bartender quickly informed us tha the first half of the drink menu was not available.(keep in mind there was like 10 other people, very empty on a Saturday night after 1am. strike one. I went ahead and ordered another drink that mostly consisted of gin, denied as they did not have gin.(what bar doesn’t have gin?) Strike two. When we went to pay our bill, bartender gave us the wonderful news that its a three drink minimum! WHAT! Strike three. So after i have given you my list of reasons why I don’t like it, i will tell you what I did like, the music. But i can find good music at any bar on south beach. I would NOT recommend this bar to anyone and have no idea why my friends raved about it.

Great spot if your looking for a nice and relaxed establishment. Not your typical South Beach bar. Staff is very friendly and they all have great knowledge of the drinks they’re serving. You will definitely have to experience this one for yourself.

How Über Cool. I rarely write such a happy review, trying to be always fair but last night I took a beautiful girl out on a whim to a ‘New & Unusual’ Place I had heard about. Drogerie.I think is Australian for Mixology. I used to live in SOBE and don’t go there much. But this one is tucked away by Lincoln Road on a side street, you are out of the hustle and bustle, but after-wards it is just 2 blocks away. A great Hideaway to Escape and be Amazed. You hear about them in New York, these Magicians of Libations who concoct the most amazing Drinks. We have now have one in SOBE. but wait, the quiet part of SOBE ! I so highly recommend this Venue, far more than any-other I have written about. It is a great date place to just impress her. Mine was very impressed. Wow did I discover some of the most amazing libations, potions and aperitifs all served up by White Men in Lab Coats. Luckily this time not to take me away, yet another story we will discuss later. Glassware abounds as do Cucumbers, Cilantro, Alovera, Absinthe, Campri and other spirits you hear about in Drink Recipes but never have at home to make. Do not come here and order a ‘Cosmo’ This is akin to going to Paris and ordering McDonalds, Live it up, God has graced us with Healthy and Exotically wonderfully tasting Libation’s a little ! My workout thin no eating type Date felt much at ease with all the Healthy and light drinks… As a Guy I just thought they tasted Great and yes… you get the warmth if you know what I mean… Tasty and Potent ! Craig was my Guide on this Spiritual Journey in this Posh Australian themed Venue. And wow did he Impress. Look at the display of dozens of infused potions across the spectrum of tasty libations. Rarely have I left in such utter amazement at this Mixologist Craft. Bravo ! My Date was instantly amazed as we were guided through a Cucumber, cilantro infused Gin drink. amazingly delicious, then onto one with Aloevera, lime and Absinthe, and other secrets that tasted like Heaven on a Hot Summer Day. But it didn’t stop, I went all out and sampled 6 drinks(Thankfully he understood and gave them to me in smaller Martini Glasses) It was a Taste Euphoria, my date and I were just amazed. The last was a Campri/Orange Essence concoction whose aroma was sinful and taste so good we toasted to an Amazing Night. Hey I have a passion for Glassware and this Establishment has those unique glassware types that just make the occasion. 5 Stars on that alone. The Decore is relaxing, the music perfect grove without being to loud. Not your typical SOBE Venue by far, but still Elegant and a Definite Date Place, Girls night out Venue. You can definitely loose yourself here. Pros: Libations you will find no where else. No hangover either and you leave with breath of cucumbers and Orange essence, how cool is that. 1. Convenient: Parking is across the street. This sits at 1650 James, which is one block West of Collins. It is a the Corner of Lincoln Road and James in the Albion Hotel. Look to your right for the huge Velvet Entry as you enter. 2. Vibe was spot on. Let the pictures speak for themselves. Dark, sultry, but groovingly fun. I spent 2 hours there and didn’t know time was moving on, that is fun. 3. Staff was über friendly. Just ask the Men in the White Coats ‘Impress me’ and trust in your Mixologist. We loved all 6 Drinks. 4. Easy to find. Look for the 18 story up light that says ‘Albion’ in big white letters on the building. Parking is across the street, a Valet is near if you want to impress and the big Parking lot on 16th makes Parking easy in SOBE. Con’s: And not on the Venue but the Hotel Albion. The Bathrooms need a Key to get in. Ask the front desk and they gladly give you one. My Girl was happy with the clean bathrooms. You simply must try this, we had so much fun and again on that last kiss goodnight, I got a ‘You taste like Cucumber’ and got another Kiss. How cool is that !

Was following this opening since I got word that the people who brought Apotheke to NYC were en route to Miami. Located in the Albion Hotel, it’s located on tucked-away James Ave, which takes you away from all the Collins Ave. hoopla of South Beach. Drogerie a/k/a Trummer’s Drogerie and Apotheke are all about introducing therapeutic and medicinal ways to enjoy a drink. In some cases hey infuse natural herbs and aphrodisiacs into the actual liquor, concentrating the benefits of the specific substance into the drink. While I didn’t read a whole lot into this, it’s good to know that there are some ancillary benefits to these cocktails besides a good buzz. My buddy and I walked past velvet curtains to awaiting mixologists garbed in lab coats, ready to concoct. We sat on vintage red velvet couches that were bequeathed from Daniel Boulud’s eponymous restaurant in NYC. Given that it was a Sunday night, there was a fair share of available sofas(get there early on Fri or Sat to snag one I was told). Craig, presumably the head mixologist and from NYC overseeing the opening, came over, greeted us, and asked what our spirit preferences were & what flavor profiles we enjoyed(sweet, bitter, citrus, smokey, etc…). He soon departed for the bar with a look on his face knowing exactly what he was going to make us. I had a tequila-based drink with of pineapple, jalapeño, and cilantro while my friend had a gin-based cocktail with some sweeter notes. Just as we were about to leave, Craig welcomed us to the bar as he prepared us two complimentary cocktails before we left. The base was a celery-infused liquor-crisp and refreshing. It was a drink that had me departing with a very positive impression of this establishment. I will certainly be back, sooner rather than later.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at the soft opening of Drogerie! The Bartender was truly enthusiastic and competent as he want to work! There were no menus, we just gave him general ideas of what we like to drink and he concocted the best cocktails we have ever had, no joke!!! This place is a must for anyone looking for a true cocktail experience.
