Café de Crest

Best soups ever, fresh food, delicious lunch specials, friendly service, and great prices too!
It is nearly impossible to find food quality around South Beach, Café de Crest is the exception!

The food was good and price was reasonable. The biggest downside was service. They seem to always run out of food. For example, when I ordered chicken with yello rice, they told me they ran out of rice. So I asked for steak and they ran out of that as well. I asked for green tea to drink and the server came back saying there was no more left. Continuing on, my to go order took over 45 minutes. Again, the food is good and prices are reasonable but if you want to eat here, make sure you have a lot of time to spare and keep your options open when ordering.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Crest Hotel on our visit to South Beach. Our bedroom actually overlooked the small patio outside Café de Crest… a fact we only realized one morning after having some loud bedroom activities that shall remain unnamed while our window was open and people were eating right outside. Oops…
Oh… and in case you’re wondering, we also ate there. We went for breakfast after checking out on our last day. They have a «make your own breakfast» formula for about $ 8: pick ingredients (veggies, meats…) and they make an omelette for you. It comes with either house potatoes or cornmeal or toast. Not the best breakfast I’ve had, but it was decent for the price and very convenient. Our waiter was very friendly, and even forgot to charge for our yogurt. Apparently you can also «make your own sandwich» for lunch: same idea, pick your ingredients and they make it for you.
I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but it’s definitely not a bad spot if you’re staying at the hotel next door.

Great place for a cheap eat on Miami Beach! The quality of the food is very FRESH, you can tell they do not keep much stuff in storage, they don’t have the space!!!
Lunch Specials are less than $ 10, and include an appetizer (usually a salad or soup) and main course with a side (carb) it also includes a drink. Small little place located in Crest Hotel. Great place for a quick lunch and best of all less than $ 10 in South Beach!!!
