Service was extremely attentive… the food was good(not great) and the ambience was very pleasant indeed. Overall we had a good experience, but were surprised at the prices… it was somewhat overpriced for what it was… Would consider coming back again if we were in the area.

I live at Canyon Ranch. I’ve waited two years to speak out publicly because I’ve been hoping the situation would improve. I did not want to bring down the brand value of my investment here, but things won’t change unless people talk. Most of the residents will discuss the issues among ourselves. Our motto has been«the customer is always wrong». I hope that the new management will make significant changes. Major problems with the Restaurant: 1) There were 37 health code violations at the Canyon Ranch restaurant last year. See link below. No one discusses this«dirty» secret. By comparison, this is worse than any Wendy’s hamburger joint in Southern Florida. Several of my fellow residents and guests had food poisoning after eating at the restaurant over the past two years, but the staff and management refuse to acknowledge there is a problem. The health code status has improved but seems to be going downhill again, according to the agency inspections.(see link) 2) I’m a vegetarian. My main course options are only salad or pizza. I’m not kidding. Ridiculous for a restaurant at a health and wellness resort. 3) Don’t complain to the management or you will get kicked out. The other residents and I joke that the«customer is always wrong» at Canyon Ranch. I complained about an item and was told that«no one has ever complained about it before» and was then chastised by the manager. 4) My friend and I routinely ate breakfast out of convenience. After waiting 45 minutes for an omelette several times, she will not return to Canyon Ranch. 5) Don’t trust the menu. The protein/carb/calories are often incorrect. Even the ingredients are incorrect on some menu items. I don’t eat potatoes, yet my salad included many potatoes, which were not in the description. I explained to the chef that I eat low carbs and would have asked that the potatoes be taken out instead of wasting them. She said that many ingredients are not listed on each item, and that is typical at many restaurants. I spoke to one of the managers who agreed with me. A year later, they still didn’t change the menu. The good: 1) The view is beautiful. Since I live here, I will order food from another restaurant and bring it outside to the patio area. It is not worth the horrible service and mediocre food to eat at Canyon Ranch just for the view. 2) The artichoke fries are delicious. 3) The homemade sodas are great. That’s all. Here is verification of the 37 health code violations:

Healthy, organic cuisine, beautiful setting and friendly service. Very pleased with the menu selections and looking forward to going back to sample other dishes. The desserts were particularly enjoyable. As was the service. Definitely recommended for health conscious foodies.

When the say GF(GLUTENFREE) … ITISNOT! I am a permanent resident at Canyon Ranch and it pains me to have to do this, but I feel is the moral thing to do. Their carelessness can seriously injure someone and the best they can do is say«we’re sorry». For the rest, you will be on your own. If you are Celiac, be very careful! We eat at Canyon Ranch Grill regularly. It use to be our first choice, especially because as residents we enjoyed a discount, plus we must contribute $ 100 per month to keep them«alive» — so they apply that as a credit to our consumption. But that has changed since they removed our discount and they began to change the menu around. The coffee, which used to be organic and«just ok» was changed to some non-organic awful liquid that is beyond tasteless. Despite messages sent to the chef and management to change the coffee, they have not and they have not even replied to our messages. Clear indication that they just don’t care to please their consumers. Why should they?! We pay in advance for food and service we are no longer getting! So I stopped drinking my morning coffee there, leaving me less choices to consume«my credit». Then their most recent audacity is to change the menu with, what the Chef and Manager referred to as «that must have been a misprint, sorry» when labeling one of their dishes as GF. I ordered the Churrasco(meat) but when it got to the table it had a piece of bread on the plate. It was something like a round fried ball, which called my attention, so I asked what it was, and that’s when I found out that the foreign object in my plate was a piece a bread, a HUGE allergen for me. What used to be our Restaurant of first resort has turned out our restaurant of LASTRESORT. SHAME on Canyon Ranch and their deceptive practices, or worse, their ineptness and lack of knowledge to run a «wellness» restaurant. BEWARE if you decide to come for a meal here. You may not be getting what you think you ordered or what you are paying for.

Took advantage of their Miami Spa month. Upon arrival, it took a bit to get us checked in but didn’t stress cause we’re at a spa after all. Please note there is a STRICT No cell phone policy which we completely understand as no one wants to hear about your family’s issues you’re trying to decompress! Had the body and soul massage. If you like deep tissue or alike, this is definitely not the one for you. They said it was very light to moderate but I asked my therapist to go harder and he did. My friend said her therapist didn’t want to do it(I had a male therapist and she had a female) Once our services was over, we made our way to use the facilties. Did the foot bath, used the jacuzzi, steam room and Finnish sauna. There are so many attendants walking around, you don’t have a to want for anything. They were standing outside the steam and Sauna rooms waiting to give us water which you definitely need after sweating out all that excess water! Their line of products throughout the restroom area included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial wash(nice touch), shower caps, brushes and a lot more toiletries. All areas were kept extremely clean, the attendants were on top of ensuring everything was on point. They all seem to really enjoy working there and take pride in their jobs :-) Checkout was very fast — just needed to return locker key and validate parking($ 8.00 for the day) and we were off to enjoy the rest of the afternoon all relaxed, de-stressed and silky smooth! DEFINITELYRETURNINGSOON to take advantage of the spa month deal!

First to Unilocal — please merge the 3 Canyon Ranch listings/businesses under this name — or vary it with the Spa under one and the Grill under the other. It’s difficult finding the right one to write about. So, six of us had Miami Spice dinners at Canyon Ranch on Saturday night. We came early(6pm) and were the second table seated. There WERE people sitting outside, though, and it did pick up dramatically as the night went on. The dinner is $ 39, and there is an optional pairing wine flight for $ 21. Also, know that tax is 9%. The Good: The view is spectacular and the ambiance is beautiful and serene. The service was excellent — friendly, fast, accommodating, helpful, etc. The drinks were awesome. Seared tuna with cucumbers, rice noodles, sweet chili sauce, scallions — fabulous! Tofu Tater Tots(yeah, we were pleasantly surprised)! The Average: The scallops entrée was very tasty — except there were only 3. Desserts were passable. The Bad: Corn«chowder» tasted like corn water and asparagus salad — just not exciting at all. The gnocchi was pasty and not flavorful to those who had it. No one had the duck, so maybe that would be a better choice. Thankfully, the menu is subject to change, so there’s hope!

Love! I had the BEST burger I have had in my life here. twice! I can’t get enough of the burgers here! Maybe it’s the whole grass-fed thing! They are juicy, cooked to perfection, mouth watering. delicious! And the sweet potato fries are amazing. I don’t even really like them, but I have become addicted to the ones here. They are baked, not greasy, and so tasty! The dipping sauces are also fantastic-especuially the white one. I have also had the Mahi Mahi, with was fresh and wonderful. Yes, this place is pricey, but you get what you pay for. I will say the one«con» is the staff. some are very friendly, accommodating, and wonderful. others not so much. No need for an attitude at such a beautiful and relaxing place! Don’t understand how anyone could be unhappy working in these surroundings!

Very relaxing place. Customer Service was good. Nothing fancy in terms of décor… The food was very good but the drinks were pricy($ 15+), but not surprise as perhaps this is the price average on the beach. I do recommended. I went for lunch but I bet for dinner with the lighting it may look more of a Miami Beach feel… will try to check it out then! :)

Been here a few times since i get my car wash from Luxury Auto Detailing at the hotel. Décor is a bit dated and looks more like a cafeteria during the day. The outdoor area with the couches is a nice place to hang out for a drink and only open from 3:30pm — closing. The food is always a hit or miss and very pricey for the quality and portion. However my last visit the squid steak pasta i had was amazing and not close to being heavy. But the portion was small for the $ 28 price tag. You are looking at $ 10-$ 25 per dish for lunch and $ 15-$ 40 per dish at dinner. Drinks will run you about $ 14 and up. Overall I do come back once a month to splurge in the outside patio with view of the ocean. Cannot beat the view!

Hands down: Best. Restaurant. Ever. Seriously, ever. The artichoke fries? Obsessed. Salmon? Perfection. The drinks? Sensational. I wish I could eat here every night! I also wish their portions were bigger, but, that’s just me being selfish. Canyon Ranch, thanks for being so awesome. (Please note I have no affiliation with this restaurant, just a HUGE fan.)

First day lunch was good… dinner was horrible! we sat for 10 min, no one approached us…10min later after complaining our waiter finally took our order, we ordered steak med cooked, it came out well, we called Juan manger who was dumbfound and had them bring us another steak that was well done again. Next day at breakfast we ordered egg Benedict which the eggs came out hard… the whole purpose of egg Benedict is to have the watery eggs, 3 rd morning our omelets took over 35 min and we almost missed our class.

2.5 stars This review is from the point of view of staying at Canyon Ranch for a spa/health weekend. I like the concept of healthy foods and this restaurant had plenty of options. The nutrition facts are on the menu(calories/fat/protein/fiber/etc) The taste itself was really hit or miss. The tomato/basil flatbread was tasty and on a nice chewy whole wheat crust. On the other hand the portabella sandwich was dry, tasteless, and inedible. I would recommend the dinner menu over the lunch menu(not tasty) and breakfast(not enough options). For dinner I did enjoy the ceviche and strawberry salad. A warning on the desserts-the chocolate lava cake was decent but a small portion(obviously). The«tiramisu» was in actuality a sort of low-fat chocolate cup and was not worth it. The service(in contrast to the service in the hotel) was awful — the servers did not know what ingredients were in the food(ie is this a cream based soup?) and all of the employees there were clueless about the rest of the resort! We tried to ask how to get to a workout room after eating lunch and they were clueless. There’s a significant disconnect with the restaurant vs the rest of the resort. I suggest that the hostesses be trained in basics(at least) of other aspects of the resort.

Table for two is gonna cost you 215 bucks And tastes like they heated up raw meat and vegetables. Absolutely no seasoning and no flavor. Calories printed on the menu, because there’s nothing else for them to explain or describe. Would never come back.

This is a health ranch. Food is intentionally low sodium & good for you. It is very designer healthy. It’s intentionally laid back. Patrons trying it for gourmet appeal shouldn’t. It’s a luxe healthy lifestyle location catering to those who stay here to lose weight, get fit & take a break. I love it

So if you are going to go for a healthy meal this is the place, if you want to spend twice the price of what you would spend at Seasons 52 but with half the taste. I am sure healthy food(or farm to table food) is yummy and good for you, but somehow I feel like you can get the same quality without having to pay so much for it. Its a really pretty restaurant with a great ambience, but so is Seasons 52. I tried a variety of items and honestly there is nothing I can recommend… except the mussels. The mussels were pretty good, great sauce. Other than that, I would venture out of the hotel and go somewhere else.

We ate here during our four day visit to the resort. On our next trip to Miami, this is one restaurant we will return to just for the food and wonderful service. Attn: Vegans, vegetarians and those with special diet needs: We have traveled throughout the world on business and pleasure to many deluxe hotels and resorts, yet the treatment we received in the restaurant and room dining was by far the best we have ever experienced. In particular, the Sous Chef, Adriana Cruz, was simply amazing. We eat a «whole plant» diet. CRMB already boasts a wonderful menu of healthy foods, each with listed calories, macronutrient and sodium count. All meals are satisfying, but the portions are realistic, & made from wholesome ingredients. A phone call just a day prior to our arrival led to an immediate contact with Ms. Cruz. After we reviewed what we could and could not eat, she helped us by bringing in a few ingredients that they usually did not stock. We understood that many options were not on the menu, but they would accommodate almost and needs. Everything is prepared fresh, so service is a little longer, but the results are marvelous. Eat item was cooked to perfection and presented like the fine cuisine that it is. The wait staff is especially accommodating to every whim you may have. By day two, they knew all the oddities we brought, from coffee with unsweetened soy milk and two green tea bags already soaking in the pot to salad for breakfast, dinner sides for lunch, etc. Almost without exception, the staff is wonderful. When the executive chef returned, he also came to help us in the same way as during his absence as did the food and beverage manager, so the culture is really set at the top.

Overpriced and bland. I’m all about healthy eating whenever possible, which is why I decided to give this place a try, since Canyon Ranch is so health-centric. I came here and tried the thai beef salad and chicken stir fry. The description was tastier than the meal itself. Not good. I came in and it took A LONGTIME for the hostess to show up. Even worse. The beef salad and chicken stir fry looked exactly the same minus the meat. I would assume a salad and stir fry should look different. However, both dishes were just showered with shredded carrots and that was about all I could see. Healthy food doesn’t have to be bland, but unfortunately, theirs was. With the reputation and caliber of this hotel, I expected more and they didn’t deliver. I wouldn’t come back to this restaurant again.

Contemplating over and over on how many star’s to give. We went with some friend’s who really enjoy this restaurant. I was very excited to experience it as I had been wanting to visit. When we entered the resort, it is very zenish. Fossil rocks sway on cable with fountains, dim lights, soft neutral color flow, elegant and peaceful. The décor was impressive! Their menu is very small, organic, healthy, some nice options. All of us chose various entrée’s and appetizers, so I will start with what I ate. Zucchini Fries, tasty, different but delightful. Oh yes and flatbread, this was very good. I was very glad to see a «simple menu» option on the menu. I ordered wild Salmon and asked if they could blacken it. The Salmon was OK, not much flavor honestly. Yes, they tried blackening it but there was just no spice, not much flavor at all. So for me the food warrants three stars, the service two stars, our waiter was professional at disappearing. For this kind of restaurant when you are paying good money I did expect much much better service. Median age also is about 55 and up. So yeah this is not a place to bring a date for a young person. ha ha Décor I give four stars! As far as the company of course five stars. Bottom line we enjoyed our evening very much because we were with great friends and we each brought two special bottles of wine, corkage fee $ 25, so yes we enjoyed ourselves I am just being honest though and probably would not go out of my way to come back. The final draw was when the waiter arrived with our check and left, yep he went home and just left us sitting there. And no we were not the last guest in the restaurant. Not cool…
