I’m a fan. We came when it was raining, it looked like a ghost town outside. Inside people were relaxing and chatting away. Full of candles and decorated with old-time regal décor, Bay Club provides a small but not cramped lounge style bar. It’s bit off the beaten path which adds to the feeling of exclusivity, almost as if you were invited upstairs from a busy bar. I’d say its low key but nice enough that you can come from something more formal without changing. The couches and booths are leather or red velvet. The bar is a little light on selection but it shouldn’t limit anyone of draining a few cocktails with friends. I hopefully the food here is as good as the drinks. Unfortunately the kitchen was not open when we arrived. Nooo big deal. The bartenders and their attentive service convinced us to come back and try out the menu.

We stopped in at Bay Club for a cocktail after dinner, and I must say that the bartender here prepared a quite delicious drink. It’s a tiny cocktail bar, dark, but with some comfy furniture including two old school antique chairs that we were lucky enough to snag. The music is a sort of a rotation of multiple genres, and I did like the fact that they squeezed in a bit of jazz. While I was a bit on the fence regarding the cocktails on the menu, especially as a bourbon guy, who loves a good, stiff, bourbon or whiskey based drink, I ask the bartender if he could make a Vieux Carre, and indeed he knew the drink and delivered an outstanding, well balanced and deliciously boozy cocktail! Overall, I’m a fan of Bay Club and would definitely go back for more, especially if we can snag the comfy chairs again!

First time here and I’ll definitely be back. Love the low key, chill ambience they have going on and the drinks are absolutely amazing! The music bumping was also great. Really good spot to just hangout with a group of friends.

Great drinks, went here while on the waiting list at Lucali next door! Service a bit slow and when we were ready to leave, it took too long to pay the bill! Otherwise no complaints.

Great cocktails, happy hour specials with Tito’s vodka, and $ 12 delicious thin crust pizzas… need I say more? Located next to Lucali, this bar is like the cool sibling you just want to hang out with. Honestly I rather come here and skip Lucali all together. Not to say anything negative but I just like it here better. Tonight we had an awesome cocktail consisting of bourbon, gin, gingerbeer, and orange zest garnished with a cuban flag. Loved it, so refreshing. Awesome times!

Came around 1am and the place was already closing up even though the listed hours were until 2! :( The bartender was very nice and offered to make us a drink anyway and said we were welcome to take a seat outside while she cleaned up. It was fine. We ordered the fifteen minutes and some gin drink with blue in its name. The drinks were decent. Mine got a little too sweet for me at the end and there was some type of candy at the bottom. My friend liked his bourbon drink but it got watered down fast. Probably should have drank faster. Haha. It was just relaxing and nice to sit at a table in an empty street drinking and chatting.

I love this place! It’s connected to Lucali which is my favorite restaurant in Miami. The food menu is different than Lucali’s but with the same high quality and care. The meatball sandwich is awesome! The cocktails are fantastic and the ambiance is really wonderful. It’s great for a date or meeting with some friends. There is also a really large TV so it would be a great place to watch a sports game. A truly fantastic neighborhood cocktail lounge. Definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful location, awesome drinks and excellent service! I had the peach old fashioned and it was very tasty. You can park in the garage and it’s a very short walk to the bar. I’ll be back!

Love this place! So casual and so fun. Huge tv to watch games and the place always has a fun professional group of people. Not to mention– the drinks are great!!! The bartenders are great and you can order Lucali pizza while you’re there! Just started their happy hour this week– drinks first, small bites coming in a few months. Love it here– such a great atmosphere and level of comfort. I come almost once a week!

Had a great time at 1930 Social Club this past weekend. I had their their original old fashioned, the calle ocho old fashioned(which had a jupiña reduction) and their seasonal old fashioned which was infused with peach and had pecans in it. Overall I was impressed by all of their old fashioned offerings — it was fun to try all these twists on the classic. The ambiance was good and lively here and the bar staff was knowledgeable and attentive. This was definitely my type of cocktail bar.

I have been waiting for a place like this for ages. The rebirth of Sunset Harbor has given locals a number of great restaurant options but where the hell do you go if you want a drink? 1930. I came with my girlfriend after we had dinner at a restaurant around the corner. Interesting cocktail menu with a number of homemade infusions. We ordered the Honey Peanut Old Fashioned and an Opening Day. Both awesome. Our bartender, Brian, was friendly and knowledgeable(without being douchey like a lot of cocktail bartenders). Actually that might be my favorite thing about this place. There was ZERO attitude from the bar. about halfway though our visit there, a group of girls came in and asked a million questions about the menu before ordering vodka sodas w/extra lime. Not a flinch. Same great service regardless of what your order. He even made us some off menu cocktails based on our taste preferences. Great drinks, great service, zero attitude? New favorite bar. Definitely going to watch the Finals on that HUGETV on the wall

The end of prohibition defined an awakening and a new era across the country. The masses resisted the unfathomable restraints which were put on society. There was a celebration of the end of the prohibition era. 1930 Social Club is defining the new era of enlightenment and awakening on Miami Beach. Locals always complained on the West Side of town that there were no great local places. The rest of Miami Beach had to rub elbows with tourists and couldn’t really label a place as their own. We now have that place. I went to 1930 Social Club last night. The décor and feeling is spot on. The walls all look as if they are from the roaring 20s, even the dim lighting gives the feeling of pre-modern electricity struggling to fill the light bulbs with enough energy to dimly light the surrounding 4 – 5 feet. The wine bottles above the door, cleverly placed to mimic storage even had an artistic flair. The floor had a painting on it representing an area rug. The tables are mismatched and it gives you an overall feeling of what it may have been like to actually be in a 1930s era Social Club. Everything is neatly and cleanly presented with period correct interpretations. And that would be enough for a great venue but the crowd is what makes any proper 30s era Social Club, right? I stroll up to the bar and behind it is a bearded hipster Nancy-boy showing off his artisanal tattoos peaking out from below his cardigan sweater, shaking a drink with the most interesting well groomed beard I have ever seen. I think to myself, wow, if only I could grow a beard like that. It was full and fluffy, I think to myself again, he must use some hair product on that. I look up at the wall and see the offerings, again very well thought out, very clever names given such as «The brown Bag» Which as I found out from my friend was in fact a beer in a paper bag. I then get the menu from my soon to be bartender friend. «The Arrangement» jumps out at me. I see a slight smile from under his french tickler, not realizing that he was in fact the genius who developed this example of mixological perfection. I watch him crack a zero impact, free range, farm raised, hand chosen egg and put the egg whites into a shaker. A few odd ingredients get skillfully mixed in and some shaken as he filled my glass with ice, NOT for the drink, but to cool down my 1930s mini goblet. The ice gets tossed, he cracks the shaker open, and ever so gently this cloud of white floats out into my glass. On top, infused lavender is basking in the little cloud in my glass. My first sip washed over my mouth with the most gentle delightful and soft wave of lighter than air liquid. I took my first breath and the taste disappeared. My second sip and it was more fulfilling than the first. My friendly and knowledgable bar tender was no Nancy boy as I originally thought. This man is a genius. Its nice to see someone so focused on what they do that they actually care. He does and it shows. Then a very well dressed couple came in with their guitar and played for a little while. The man played guitar the woman sang with an angelic tone. it brought me back to a time I never experienced first hand. this must be what they all talked so fondly about.

I went here after having dinner at their restaurant, Lucali, next door. We went through the«secret» door that connects the two restaurants which was kind of cool except that it’s not really a secret when the other entrance is a huge opening to the street. This quasi-speakeasy’s craft-cocktails were really good and on par with those of the Broken Shaker’s. Also, about the same price $ 13-ish. The place was empty(I think it only recently opened) when we went in and that left us feeling like this is a secret spot that no body knows about. Probably won’t last long in this neighborhood but I’ll try to enjoy it while it lasts. My boyfriend’s Honey Nut Old Fashioned was probably the best drink I tasted. I can’t remember the other drinks(bad, Unilocaler, bad!) but I know I liked them! We sat outside on the picnic bench and it was a great spot to take in Sunset Harbour people watching. I will definietely be back before this place blows up into the next popular spot.

Unofficially opened and part of Lucali, this local’s hidden spot is a welcoming prohibition-era bar to the hood and something reminiscent of what I’d find in Brooklyn, Chi-town or Yvr. Not surprisingly, the original Lucali is actually located in Carrol Gardens and these guys know what they are doing! Brian, the friendly, proud, hipster proprietor was all too happy to serve us up a mixed cocktail of whatever we wanted, and it was just the place to stop for a drink after a wonderful tasting meal at Pubbelly. If only we hadn’t been so full! Enjoyed the décor, the atmo/and the silver screen movies being played on the huge flat screen tv in the background. So maybe it’s meant to cater to the locals but since this is a popular genre of bar in some of my fave cities, I’m happy to be the ftr! *Note* It’s still new and working out the kinks and does not officially open until the new year. But I will return soon, hopefully before I leave!
