Not your typical pool food joint! I got the blackened grouper sandwich. The fries are really thin and crispy, and they are generous with the portions. My husband got the quesadilla and asked them to add sautéed veggies. It came with sour cream, guac, and salsa. It was excellent! I would come back just to eat that. The drinks are really good, too. The frozen drinks are yummy and fresh tasting.

I swung by here with some coworkers on Saturday and cozied up to the bar. What a GORGEOUS outdoor area with the pool and the cabanas and the beautiful people getting some sun! I had a glass of water, and the greek salad. What a salad, OMG. It was $ 12, but a beach front, pool side bar, it didn’t seem too crazy. Then I saw the salad and it was LOADED with goodies– pepperocini peppers, pita bread, taziki, cherry tomatos, kalamata olives, feta cheese, tons of fresh romaine, and lots and lots of dressing. I enjoyed every bite of that salad. My check came and tax and tip was already included. I made a comment to my coworkers who are also not from the area. They had left extra tip. The bar tender heard our confusion over this typical Miami process of including the tip in the check… and he made us Pina Coladas to apologize for the confusion. TOTALLY above and beyond. For that, we each threw him an extra $ 5! Really apreciated that drink. All in all, I’m still dreaming about that salad! I’d go back tomorrow for that!

Cryptic text message at 11p.m. from an old friend reads«I’M INMIAMIBEYATCH… CALLYOUINTHEMORNING» Morning comes and we agree to hook up for lunch at the pool bar at the National where she’s been hanging out all morning. What a nice pool area. Some sand there near the beach end and a little bar and kitchen out in back. We each had the burger and fries and they were quite good but VERY pricy at $ 12. A can of beer will set you back $ 7.00(no draft beers out here), a small soda in a plastic cup is $ 4.00 so a bit on the pricy side but when you have the opportunity to catch up with an old friend its not about the price. There seemed some sort of confusion when the wait staff transitioned between shifts and we were left waiting a while without our beers and then when they came, the sprite we had ordered to make shandy with was seltzer so UGH for a minute, but it was all squared away, and we went back to gossiping madly.
