New Kim’s Nail Care

Cheap, but worst mani/​pedi I have ever received. The male owner rushed on painting my nails, missing ¼ of my nail and left the old polish on still. When I asked him to fix it he was rude and yelled at me. I will never ever return there!

Not really a glamorous looking place but the prices are very cheap. For a mani pedi together it’s $ 17, for mani by itself it’s $ 7. Also cash only.
I did the manipedi. They all work extremely quickly. I liked my pedicure. A girl did the pedicure cleanly but efficiently. She also has to give you a three minute leg massage for free that is timed. Boy is that girl strong though… at some points I felt like my calves were going to break! In the end the pedicure looked good. It was funny though cause she tried to sell me plastic slippers for $ 2 so I could walk to my manicure… and I was like «no thank you???» Since I couldn’t tell if it was optional. And then she just gave me paper slippers instead hahaha. So don’t feel like you have to buy the slippers. She didn’t push it either which was good.
The manicure however… it was the owners husband who did it instead of the owner. I don’t know if he didn’t do it as well cause he’s a guy or if he was just doing it too fast but the were a lot of little pinhole sized bubbles/​holes after my nail polish dried. Not cute. They do give you like a 30 second neck massage for free to when you’re having the manicure done because they want to sell you their 10 min massage for $ 10 haha… you can politely decline though and they won’t push it. Have to say the massage felt good though.
I’ll give them one more try when I have time but for now it’s three stars because of the imperfect manicure.

you get what you pay for. this place is cheap but not clean. nail instruments look grungy and the shellac manicures are kind of sloppy. the people are nice enough but there is a definite language barrier. if you want a relaxing spa experience this is not the place. the atmosphere is kind of honey boo boo-ish.they charge additional for credit card processing. come on, this is merrick, you can do better…

One of the best mani/​pedis I’ve had in a long time!
Maria (I think that was her name) was amazing. After she was done with my pedicure, she massaged by feet and legs for a good 5 minutes. It may not sound like a long time, but it was heavenly. Also, while another lady did my manicure, Maria massaged my neck/​back. I loved it!
Also, the place seemed very clean which is very important to me when choosing a nail salon.
The BEST part is that Mon — Wed, they have a $ 17 mani/​pedi special! And even on the other days, it’s only $ 20. Very affordable for great service. I will definitely be returning.
