Ordered some take out on-line tonight. Found Panda Garden via Unilocal so thought we would give them a try. Ordered via their on-line order system, chose to pick it up in 30 minutes. Arrived to pick it up and it appeared they had not noticed our order come through. They had it in the system but had not prepared it. Once the order was completed they had my husband pay for it, although I had already paid on-line(not sure yet if I was double billed, will have to call). Food came home, standard Chinese fair, they forgot the hot mustard :(Sweet & Sour sauce for the pork was a tiny lil cup about a teaspoon or a little more, but not enough to cover a box of pork satisfactorily. Mandarin chicken had the sauce on it already which made it a bit soggy. Unidentifiable cup of dark sauce, think maybe it was a special soy sauce? Found it odd they made no offer to make up for their order mishap. So all in all it makes me a bit sad, was hoping to be wowwed. Guess we will keep searching for a good chinese takeout spot.

This place is just down the road from our house, so it is very convenient for us to grab food when we are in the mood for Chinese. They also have great sushi too! Take out is an option, and they even have online ordering, which worked well for us. Recently, we got the Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein with soft noodles, pork fried rice, and also got a spicy tuna roll. Everything was really good. We have always been happy with our meals here. We definitely recommend this place.

*****5-star casual dining***** I met some friends here before a movie to grab a quick bite to eat before the show. Boy oh boy was I in for a surprise! Though I’d never been here before, the ratings seemed like it’d be okay. They have a huge variety of hot dishes, and also sushi! Delicious was the orange chicken, with just enough spice to keep it from being too sweet. Can’t give you a report on the teriyaki chicken, my 13 year old inhaled it!(I’m not sure if he chewed at all… he made quick work of a huge mound of food!) Seeing as I was going to see Kung Fu Panda 3, dressed panda-style, I figured it was only fitting to order the ‘panda sushi roll’. It was very flavorful, and beautifully presented! Sorry I have no pictures this time, though I will be back soon and often with even more friends and not in a rush for a movie, and will post pictures! The service was quick and accurate, as well as warm and welcoming! Definitely recommend!

Denizens of the Treasure Valley, in my years of Unilocal’ing I have learned to adjust what exactly they mean. Panda Garden is a perfect example of what a «three star» experience is to me. This is the kind of place that, when you are in the neighborhood, will fit the bill if this is the kind of food you are looking for. Nothing about it will particularly impress you, but nothing will really let you down either. Basically if you are driving down the road and find yourself in the mood for Chinese, stopping in here will satisfy you. You won’t clear time in your schedule to go here, and you won’t truck across town to go here, but you’ll leave happy if you stop in for a bit of sushi or chow mein. In my case, I was taking my son to see the new Star Wars movie at the Majestic, and I let him pick from the restaurants in this strip mall for lunch. He passed on the burgers and pizza(surprisingly) and asked for noodles… so into Panda Garden we went. It was still very early so we were the only patrons in the place. I ordered a few sushi rolls and my son got some shrimp chow mein. The sushi was serviceable, about what you would expect from a place that does not specialize in it. The spicy salmon was particularly tasty. My son’s chow mein was good also, although a bit too many veggies for his taste. He mostly picked out all the shrimp and left the rest for me, which I didn’t mind. Service was a bit on the slow side, considering we were the only people in the place at the time. I think they were in the midst of hiring/training some new staff as several of the employees we interacted with seemed a bit unfamiliar with the restaurant and entrees. So we may just have caught them at a «bad time» in terms of bringing some new staff up to speed. That said, the restaurant business is rather unforgiving, so if service issues like this persist, Panda Garden may find itself on hard times. Bottom line folks, if you are in the neighborhood(or in my case seeing a movie) and have the urge for some Asian food, you’ll be satisfied at Panda Garden.

Not the worst Chinese food, but definitely not the best we’ve had here. And I’m not sure what everyone is talking about when they say this place has reasonable prices… It was expensive for very little and inexpensive portions and I’ve only taken three bites of my lo mein and I have acid reflux! You want the best lo mein in Boise/meridian area, go to Joy Garden.

This was my first time eating here. It was very good food with great prices. I had the sweet and sour chicken with egg drop soup. The egg drop soup was very thick and delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was very tasty and very big portions for the 6.95 price. The sauce on the chicken was very tasty. Will go back there again!

Tried Panda Garden today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted immediately by the friendly staff and found a table. The young man and young lady that were our servers were quick to get us menus and answer questions that we had. We ordered off of the lunch menu that had most meals priced between $ 5.00-$ 7.00 We ordered two lunch specials a bowl of Hot & Sour soup and a hand roll. The soup came out very fast and was probably the best Hot & Sour soup we have ever had. The hand roll and meals were equally as good. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes good food at a great price and friendly service. Can’t wait to go again! Scott & Holly S.

I have tried several things on the menu and by far my favorite is the Crispy Sesame Beef. I love consistency. Every time I order something, it tastes exactly as I remembered it. It is conveniently located in a strip mall near Majestic Movie Theatre on Overland between Eagle and Locust Grove. I am always in the area and like to stop for a quick lunch. Service is always excellent. I love their Hot and Sour soup that comes with their lunch special. I haven’t tried their sushi yet but I have tried more than a half a dozen items on their menu and I enjoyed them all.

The food is not bad. The challenge is to get it the way you want it. When we first tried the restaurant we ordered Chicken fried rice it came with carrots, peas, egg and large pieces of chicken which were very tough. After the first visit We decided to order carry out. The order was very simple no carrots, cut up chicken into smaller pieces and cook it. We Got no peas no egg and very little chicken we also got carrots. We tried several times to get it right but it never happened. We would ask the waiter to speak with the cook and make sure it was right .A few weeks ago we made the same order and all we got was a few pieces of chicken and nothing else. A few days ago I tried something else the waiter asked if I wanted brown or white rice. I asked for white rice. When I got home and took my order there was no rice at all. I called the restaurant and got nowhere. It was decided that I go somewhere else. If you have a lot of time and don’t care about getting what you ordered than go ahead. Its really not worth the effort

Went there last night because we were too last after a weekend away. We ordered the crab rangoons, Kung-Pao Chicken and Ma-La Chicken. I was told the Ma-La wasn’t very spicy so I ordered it. They were willing to switch out some veggies, I’m kind of picky. Overall the flavor was good was too spicy for me, Luckily my boyfriend likes spicy food. I ate his Kung-Pao, which wasn’t spicy at all. The Rangoon’s were too sweet, not what I am used to. Overall the food was fresh and tasty! We will definitely try them again.

Bland us the best word to describe Panda Garden food. Vegetables are limp and dull, not crisp and bright. Most meat is cooked way past tender. Eggs rolls are soggy and greasy. Soups are one area of promise. All three soups I have tried were above average. The sushi offerings are decent. Seared tuna was another good presentation, bordering on excellent. I keep hoping to see big improvement as they get over new place jitters. They are close to me for delivery. I hope they step it up.

Great location, very decorative atmosphere, friendly service, but it’s NOT authentic Chinese food. Very bland, and Lo Mein noodles had a weird orange color.

Best Chinese food in South Meridian. We had the veggie fried rice, sesame chicken and spring rolls. The spring rolls were not great but the rest of the food was delicious and fresh!

I live very close to the Panda Garden and have eagerly monitored the restaurant’s progress since they announced they would be opening. There are very few Chinese restaurants in South Meridian and I hoped desperately that Panda Garden would be good. After weeks of waiting, they opened and I was not disappointed! For my first take-out order, I asked for the Chicken Amazing(with a name like that, you have to try it) and Crispy Sesame Beef. I also got a side of pork fried rice. Everything was made to order and I waited about 15mins. for the food to be ready, I should have ordered online, which you can do! The food was great! The Chicken Amazing was surprisingly spicy but good and the Crispy Sesame Beef was also good. The fried rice was above average but not the best in town but that is me nit picking details and comparing it to other Chinese places in the valley. I will also say that while I waited, the service was very good. I was offered water and then a refill when I ran low. The waitress was very friendly and we talked about cooking shows on TV until my food was ready. I will definitely go to Panda Garden again and encourage anyone in South Meridian to swing by there and try them out. If your experience is like mine, you will not be let down!
