Crap. A waste of money and space. ive had frozen dishes that blow theirs away. Their pizza cheese was particularly flavorless. Im sorry but there is no reason for this place to be in business. Please stop going so they can allow a business with value to take their place.

Family friendly atmosphere! We liked our waiter mostly because he was so thoughtful & kind with our 2 yr old. We shared a family pizza & pasta dinner, which we enjoyed & had PLENTY of food to take away.

This was another restaurant that Unilocal helped us discover. After reading the many positive reviews, we opted for the pasta dishes(lasagna, calzone, ravioli, etc). To us, they were pretty good, but not something we’d go out of our way for. Then, on a recent trip through Mercer Island, we stopped in again, and were intrigued by the pizza. The pizza turned out to be a huge, huge win. It is certainly something that we’d go out of our way for. It is really THAT yummy!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and my favorite thing is probably the creamy Italian dressing/dinner salad. Roberto’s would have a lot of potential if they upgraded just a few items. Anytime I brought takeout home I re-spun the salad leaves and the bottom would be full of green water. I would then drain the spaghetti noodles which always seem to be very wet and sitting in water. The sauce is not bad — when not mixed with watery spaghetti. The bread is great. This place is very nostalgic for me and had a special place in my heart but I do wish they would drain their food a little better before serving.

Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I enjoy coming back and finding a place I remember and flavor from my youth. Good pizza, friendly staff, original atmosphere but clean.

My family and I dropped in to robertos for dinner. A friend of ours was raving about it so we decided to give it a try. I’m glad we did. Everything was wonderful. I had lasagna and my kids had pizza. Delicious! The salad it came with was great and the dressing on it was probably the best I’d ever had. It was a creamy pink one that was to die for. The service was excellent too. A tall, nice looking man waited on us. He took great care of us and my kids absolutely adored him. He even drew them a cool little picture. Overall, I give it an A++. Great food and service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Super nice relaxed atmosphere, and great food. We ordered a Canadian bacon and pineapple large pizza and it was a good price for its location and the speed of service

Any review over 3 stars for this place is just a lie. I’ve been here a couple of times as we live on the island. I want to like it, but alas, it’s a dump. The place is dirty. I mean filthy dirty. Pro tip: while you are sitting on your can hoping someone comes in, put a rag in your hand and clean. If you don’t believe me, walk over to the high chairs. My god, they are caked in grime and dirt. I cannot believe the health department has not been in there those high chairs were so filthy. Now for the help! Apathetical at best. No one to great you at the door. You have to go find someone to get your food, your drinks, you bill. It got to the point where I needed extra napkins and just got up and got them myself. Seriously, if it’s service and good food you are looking for, keep walking. If you are on the FBI’s most wanted and need some food without being recognized, this is your place. As for the food, I’d call it 2:00 am after the bar awesome. If you are not coming home from the bar drunk after closing time, then you’ll likely find the food to be(like others have said) «AVERAGE» at best. I saw that someone mentioned the cheese bread. My three year old has made better. It’s a piece of white bread with cheap cheese sprinkled on it and toasted(presumably) in the oven. What a joke. When you have three kids 5, 3 and 1 and they won’t eat it, you know somethings wrong. The pizza is tolerable if you’re hungry. This is the last visit to Robertos for my family. It speaks volumes that these clowns have not responded to one review. I wonder if they even know about Unilocal

This review is not for the food. Unfortunately, I didn’t even get that far. I was hung up on not once or twice but three times in the middle of a question. Whoever is at the front desk is awful and doesn’t care about courtesy with customers.

Good basic Americanized Italian food, solid pizzas. Notoriously slow service sometimes bordering on no service, but improving slightly in recent months. Decent family place. Not great for lunch given the pace of things.

Great neighborhood spot for Islanders to grab dinner with the family. In fact, I recommend the family special which includes salads(blue cheese dressing is the best), a split lasagna/spaghetti combo plate and a pizza. Consistently good comfort food and friendly.

Called to order last night and Unilocal said the business was open. Someone answered and rudely said they were closed. Why did she bother to answer phone and be so nasty? We won’t be giving them business if they can’t be polite to their potential customers. We went to MO’s who provided awesome service and food! So boo hoo on you Roberto’s

I rarely eat the pizza when I come to Roberto’s. It’s not necessarily because I don’t like it… I haven’t had it in so long, I don’t remember it. When I come to Roberto’s, it’s for the Roberto’s Salad with the creamy Italian dressing. Is it fancy? Ummmm, nope. Not at all. But, there’s something about that salad(and the accompanying Cheesy Bread) that is magical to me. It’s really just lettuce, topped with a bunch of Mozzerella, two giant tomato slices, and a few large pieces of salami… but when you top it with the creamy Italian dressing, it combines really well! I grew up on Mercer Island. As a kid, my friends and I would come to Roberto’s all the time. I have no ability to be objective about this, because there is so much nostalgia around Roberto’s for me. I remember the pizza being good… I mean, it’s pizza. It’s always good. Is it my favorite pizza on the planet? No. But, I definitely enjoy it. The Cheesy Bread IS objectively good. Try dipping it into the creamy italian and the marinara. Yum! As for all the reviews about poor service, I’ve never experienced anything but prompt and friendly service. Maybe I’m going on the right days :) xoxo –Oliver

I want to like this place, I really do. I mean, what’s not to like? Good service. Friendly staff. And it’s a small business. Sadly, the pizza’s not great. The sauce is really bland. The dough is uninspired. And the toppings just don’t have any flavors to them(I’m talking about the sausage in general). On top of that, the most simple dish, spaghetti, feels like it was just thrown together without any thought about spices or herbs for any added kick. Again, the people are wonderful. And maybe this place is good to other people, but to me, there are better options.

The entrance is awkward… Service is severely lacking… Spaghetti and ravioli with sauce was extremely watery, so watery that no sauce would stick to the pasta. White bread with cheese melted over. As a New Yorker, I am beyond words with disappointment. The Mr of the place was very nice though.

Don’t go there. Seriously, just don’t. After reading a few reviews about pizza not being on par I decided on pasta and ravioli… Wrong choice. Pasta was swimming in red watery something, I thought at first that they forgot to drain it properly but in the end decided that it was the meat sauce. The sauce was blunt with too much dry rosemary, which reminded me why I use this spice very carefully at home. Ravioli was even more blunt, if it was possible. The filling must have been meat, the grayish kind that didn’t taste like meat at all. Frankly, it didn’t even have a taste. The only thing I ate was toasted white bread with white cheese on top. It was probably the $ 1.49 per loaf kind but I love cheese in any shape or form especially if it comes on top of a toast. The smell in the dining room deserves its own paragraph but I hope you got the gist already so spare yourself and find another place to eat.

Ranch=awesome. Meat sauce=excellent. Pizza crust=good. Pepperoni=bland. Will get their pasta next time, but overall pretty good. Above was my initial rating. I’ve been back a few times and felt strongly enough to write a review that was more positive. I’ve am really impressed with their ravioli and meat sauce. Really tasty and their garlic break that comes with it is equally good. I’m going to give their pizza a second chance sometime soon, plus more of their regular food. Oh, I did order some meatballs one night. I watched them heat them up in the microwave and they tasted as such; microwaved meatballs. They were tough and a bit rubbery. I was not impressed. I’m not sure if it was the end of the night, or what. I’d like to think if I was there during their prime time that they would not have been nuked. If you order the meatballs, I would inquire before ordering. I don’t know. I keep going back because I want to like the place. I’m hoping I don’t have to keep it on my go-to list for only when I want ravioli. Or some ranch to go. Their ranch was amazing, and I’m a ranch snob.

Delicious food, amazing salad, love the pasta and chicken. I love that it feels like I almost stepped back into the 90’s when I come in here. Its very relaxed and calm. Its awesome. I do admit though; sometimes the male servers are slow. I love the girl server that is there durring the day. She is super quick and she always gets my order when I come in the door.

Why do I do this to myself? Seriously, why? There is one place in the whole Seattle area that serves decent pizza, and that’s Kylie’s Pizza in Fremont. Everywhere else is second class at best. Robertos is no different. The pizza is indifferent. The servers are indifferent. The sauce for the spaghetti and meatballs is indifferent(I can make better!) and took FOREVER to get to my table. The last time I ate there, I ordered the lasagna. You can judge the quality of an italian restaurant by the quality of its lasagna. This place was weak. I’ve made better. It’s no wonder why this place usually clears out at about 6:30, assuming the help actually hustles. The food is average, the service is lackluster and hurried, the décor is abysmal, and the place even looks uninviting from the outside. I seriously can’t think of much of a reason why this place is still in business other than it’s the only Italian joint on the whole island. Tip to prospective restauranteurs in Mercer Island: there are no serious competitors on MI if you can cook a halfway decent pizza, pasta, and ravioli. You’ll make a killing and put this place out of its misery.
