Authentic Mexican food. Very friendly staff. Good amount of menu items. I got the burrito with grilled chicken and saw them freshly grilling the chicken and putting it in my burrito!

We came here a couple years ago. The food was good, but some teenage guy and his girlfriend would stare at us speak in Spanish, then laugh and all stare at us some more. At first I thought maybe I’m just being overly self conscious or something, then I go to the bathroom and the kid is turning around in his chair staring at me. Okay, so I get back and my girlfriend says his ruka is staring at her and laughing while I’m gone.
Why I’m adding this as a review is because the cook is going back and forth and sitting down with these teenagers who are blatantly trying to be confrontational with the customers. The lady at the register who seemed to be one of the owners was there and no one did anything. The kid had no respect for this family business or the customers and the adults just knowingly let it happen. So if there is a dark grey Chevy truck outside, then be ready for some Drama while you eat… fun.

I love this place. Its right in my neighborhood! All their food has that good homemade taste. Their tacos are great! The service is great as well. I come here all the time. Their Menudo is really good, this is the only place I get my menudo because it doesn’t smell bad like all the other places. Their shrimp cocktail is the bomb. The owners are very friendly as well as the staff. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Imperial Beach, CA
Good open space. No one to greet folks walking in, which will be the Order window, not seen from front door. Uncomfortably warm inside. Food typical Mexican cuisine, but don’t understand the ripped up salad on the side; Flavorless, especially they were mainly the romaine ribs. The taco meat «al pastor» a bit hard but it was edible. Jhahaha!!! Carne asada Quesadilla, more tortilla than… where’s da meat darling?!! Jhahaha! Comment on the hostess, she needs to understand, not everyone that walks into her place knows her menu. Pray for patience. However, folks there (regulars?) May not agree with my comments about the food, but I’m from San Diego, what do I know about authentic Mexican Cuisine. *ahem* ahhh lolololot Jhahaha! But all in all great staff. 3 stars average food, you’ll get your Latin fix… if you’re an average Latin cuisine eater. ;)

wow! this place is simply amazing… i went in today and while i was saying my order the cooks just had their ear open and as soon as i finished saying my order my food was ready, it can’t get better than that oh and the places was full of people… if you are in the area this place has one of the best tacos or can i say the best tacos and not only tacos but all the other food is the best… its really authentic mexican food… every one in there is really nice and the place is really clean so for all those people posting bad things about the places i disagree and take my word you will love it

Discovered this place with my co-​worker about a year ago during lunch and have been going since.
I always order the «Mi Burrito» with shredded chicken & less rice.
The meat is so clean & juicy– I’m very picky about how my meat is cooked; this is all white meat chicken. It comes with a small side salad and let’s not forget the complimentary chips & salsa station.
The horchata is basically my desert– smooth and the right amount of sweetness.
Finding parking can be a pain during weekdays around lunch but is much easier on the weekends.

Food is decent, not good enough to make me want to come back after meeting the religious-​wanna-​be manager. Customer service is not accommodating, politeness has been thrown out of the window. If you like getting mistreated, I will invite you to pay them a visit at your discretion.

First of all, Mi Taqueria gets points for being super authentic. You’ve got Liga MX playing on the TV, cumbia coming through the speakers, and some very tasty horchata.
I got the enchiladas (chicken and cheese), my co-​worker got the asada burrito, and deliciousness was had by all. Everything was fresh and homemade, which was appreciated, so although it wasn’t the best homemade Mexican food I’ve ever had, still gets a solid 4 stars for being pretty good and having great ambience and service. They also seem to go by the motto «when in doubt, throw some cheese on it,» and I can never disagree with that. Also, very reasonable prices and insane portions.
Did I mention the horchata is bomb… liquid rice milk!?! Yes please.

I love taquerias so I was excited to be trying this one. I ordered the Sopes. I was very disappointed because what they brought me was not as specified on the menu; here is what they advertise:
(7) Sopes… $ 8.99
Three thick homemade tortillas fried and topped with choice of Meat, Beans, Lettuce, Cheese, Sour Cream and Hot Sauce on the side.
It came with no cheese and guacamole and tomatoes instead; I HATE guacamole and tomatoes. And to top things off, someone hit my car in the parking lot! Needless to say, I won’t be coming back to this strip mall or any of the stores here.

Surprisingly good Mexican food in a nice location with great service. We stopped in here rather than sit in traffic and its a perfect place to relax and wait out the traffic. I had a cheese and bean burrito and they added some green sauce for free. It was very good and I might have that again. Clean and friendly place.

The food here is good, but nothing great. I stick to the carnitas burrito because it has good flavor and the meat is moist and not dry. I don’t do the tacos anymore. Every time I did, the amount of meat that I received was a little upsetting.
The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. They have chips and salsa available for there or to go (self serve). One thing that really bugs me is the amount of hot sauce they give. One tiny hot sauce for my whole burrito. Come on. Don’t be so cheap and make me ask for more every time.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. While my office is located in the East Bay, whenever there is a chance to go across the Dumbarton Bridge, we go, just for Mi Taqueria tacos!
A gal in my office brought them one time for us, and now we are as hooked as she is. Her favorite, and now mine, are the grilled chicken tacos. The meat is so fresh and the price is so reasonable. I like mine with the spicy sauce they put on it, but the others request theirs without and use the highly addictive mild salsa at their Salsa Bar, where they also have chips, radishes, etc.

Traffic was bad going over the Dumbarton bridge so I met my wife for dinner at this taqueria since it is close by to both of our jobs.
I ordered the carne asada plate and my wife had their chicken sope plate.
We waited for approximately 10 minutes and noticed that the couple behind us in line received their order before us. A couple of minutes later our order arrived. Not a deal breaker, but customers do notice these details.
My wife liked her sope plate but I was a little disappointed with mine. Where is the sour cream and guacamole? I always get these items on my plate at all the other taquerias I go to??? I got two tortillas and a small portion of rice and beans. I had a lot of meat but it was very dry and hard.
I mentioned to my wife that there is another taqueria closer to my work and she said maybe we should of gone there instead.

A pretty authentic Taqueria right near where I used to work. The prices are reasonable, the food is yummy, and the employees are always friendly. I have never waited more than five minutes for my food, and it is always hot.
Pros:
Friendly, efficient staff
HOT SAUCE!!! (not the salsa at the salsa bar and all you can chips, no no no, the actual hot sauce at the counter)
Reasonably priced
Chicken tacos
Crispy quesadillas, always hits the spot
Not greasy (I cannot do grease)
Cons:
Parking, I know its not their fault, but at the lunch rush, it is terrible and I always seem to almost get in an accident
Parking outside the lot is also bad at lunch rush
So basically, if you are lucky to land some prime real estate during the rush, don’t try to drive here at peak hours.
Overall, pretty good food.

I work around the area and Mi Taqueria is the place to go for delicious, affordable mexican. They cook really fast too, so even if the line looks long the wait is never more than 5 minutes.
— The beef tacos are fab, 3 taco special is really worth it. You can order it without a drink if you don’t want the soda.
— Quesadilla is always cooked fresh, with the tortilla crispy and cheese oozing out. delish.
— Burritos are decent
— Huevos rancheros are okay-​ish
— the chips & salsa bar can’t be beat
