Five Star Pizza

OMG. After years of Round Table, Amicis and others, just ordered from Five Star today. Got the Chicken-​garlic BLT pizza and regular wings. Pizza arrived early, still warm. Crust has just the right crunch outer-​chewy inner. Garlic white sauce is yum. Veggies were really fresh. I’m picky about my wings. These had right level of crispy, heat and moistness.

Come for lunch, they have a good buffet (choices), bunch of pizzas… I think its $ 8 all u can eat w/​a salad bar.

SUPER cheap little pizza buffet. You get a lot for your money here.

Customer service is just as bad as the pizza. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza only to be delivered a cheese pizza. Waste of time and money.

Holy shit. Think of the worst service you have ever experienced. That would be great service compared to this. The guy taking my order was borderline incomprehensible and completely clueless. I said I wanted a hamburger with ketchup, mustard and pickle. I got lucky and he was so confused that, a few minutes later, he clarified whether I wanted that or everything EXCEPT ketchup, mustard and pickle.
He still put cheese on my burger even though I never asked for it, stated «ketchup, mustard, pickle only» and he never clarified whether I wanted cheese.
I was on my lunch break, so I had 30 minutes to get my food and get back. It took them all but five minutes of that to make my burger even though I was the only person present. I called later to complain and the guy was, again, so incomprehensible, all I could hear was him saying something about pickles. I gave up and hung up.
Between the long wait, the awful service and the price tag, I don’t know that I have had a lunch break this awful in quite a while. I knew a pizza parlor burger was likely not going to be the best, but this was on a different level.
MINUS! FIVE! STARS!

I called earlier for a small pepperoni, and when I show up 20 minutes later they charge me and make me wait another 20 minutes. Even more pissed because it was so hot that I had to wait another 15 minutes just so it would cool down. !!

Customer service is excellent here. I have been a customer for years. Pizza is delicious…

If I could give this place a 0, I would. Worst service I have ever experienced. No matter how polite you are to the manager, he responds in a rudely manner. Very unprofessional business. Find out yourself before you order! :)
BEWARE: you never know what they might put in your food!

Only pizza place that would deliver to me out in East Palo Alto ordered a large 3 topping pizza and breadsticks cost $ 36 and was late to be honest I think it was only about 15 minutes late. I had one slice of the pizza my husband had 2 the breadsticks were good but the pizza was the most greasy pizza I’ve ever had in my life I stopped in yesterday because I was in the area curious to know if they had any buffets at dinner time during the week and they don’t so today we will go try their lunch buffet

No experience with the service since I came here for the buffet. I must say, 5 stars all the way!
$ 7.99 with cheese sticks, endless soda and unlimited salad. Best of all, they offer buffets on weekends as well.
Good tasting pizza without the dry crust.

I’ve been looking for a pizza place that was reasonable and cheap with delivery and I have found it. I love the garlic combo with white sauce and their wing are my new favorite item. My son loves the pizza here. I mean the lil guy eats it ALL crust and all. The only reason they didn’t get 5 star is because their delivery guy sucks he had no change and I told him to come in and he just stood at the do letting every fly in town in my house! really… We will just pick up from now on.

Would totally give it 0 stars if possible!!! The Indian man there I think he might be the manager is extremely rude he asked me for money before I even knew what I wanted and when I asked him a question he totally ignored me! the cups there are extremely dirty and had residue in them overall it was horrible and I will never be going back

First time; took a chance stopping here — the place doesn’t look like much, a plastic hole in the wall in a small strip mall.
THE PIZZA WAS DELICIOUS. I had 4 meats and 2 veggies and they piled it high with toppings. Tasty sauced and terrific thick crust.
Was not treated rudely like so many people here have written about.
Happy I decided to stop in. Will come back again.

This review is based on two orders I placed, September 26^th and today, October 16.
I just moved to EPA from Menlo and neither Domino’s or Pizza hut would deliver here.
My first order took just under 2 hours to get here (yes really). The driver supposedly took it somewhere else. Ordered the garlic chicken pizza, it was honestly 5/​10, being very very generous. Garlic was over whelming and less veggies. Crust was perfect.
My second order was today. I called to place my order. As soon as he got my cc info he literally didn’t say a single word and just hang up. I thought I got disconnected so I called him back. I said I think we got disconnected. He said «no I hung up, was there anything more? What am I supposed to say?» with a very rude tone (I swear I can’t even describe how rude his tone was).
I was in a shock and just said «Are you serious?» Then he got even more mad and said «yes» and hung up again.
About 5 minutes later, I remembered I didn’t get a chance to tell him not to ring the door bell and instead to call when it arrives since I live outside the main house and that my landlord doesn’t like to be bothered. I called and politely told him that, he replied «Is this the last time you’re calling?»
The pizza was gross (³⁄₁₀) I had half veggie half combo. The veggie had Olives, tomato and onion. That was it. The combo had very generous meat topping but there was only onion for the veg (Description says it has mushroom, bell pepper olives and onions). The crust was not as good as my first order.
Do youself a favor, get a gmail account and sign up for newsletter from Domino’s or pizza hut. Gmail automatically puts their email into a folder «Promotions». You will get a pizza that’s 3 times better and pay half the price. To top it off, good customer service.
If you want over priced pizza with piss poor customer service, then this is the place for you.

They were right. Definitely worth 5 stars! I’ve lived in the area for a year now and this is the best pizza place I’ve found to date. I’ve been back several times. Very flavorful. The crust is filling and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.
And they’re the only place I’ve been able to find that delivers to our place in EPA!

Good place for all you can eat pizza and salad. Good selection of pizzas and they usually refill right away. Parking is a bitch though

We circled back to Five Star Pizza after a long absence from the area and we were so pleased that it hasn’t changed a bit. This used to be our weekly haunt and if we moved back would be again!
The pizza quality is terrific and the value for the lunch buffet special can’t be beat.
We’re talking deep dish style crust that has plenty of crunch without being hard or overly puffy/​doughy. The garlic chicken veggie pizza that you will hopefully find on the buffet when you visit, is my favorite! Maybe it’s the green onions that really tip the scale from just plain great all the way to amazing, but I urge you to try it!
The salad buffet has always been small and could use sprucing up with a greater variety of veggies, but seriously that is not worth complaining about since what they have is fresh and fits the space available.
I was happy to see the place very crowded, hopefully it will be here for years to come!

Pizza and salad lunch buffet was a good deal. Salad bar is fresh with two options for lettuce with green leaf or romaine. Pizza was spot on with new pizza made up as my favorite was the chicken garlic.
Raiders game played while I enjoyed lunch. Restaurant is clean, bathroom is in good shape.
Employees not the friendliest and all business with no smiles. The cashier didn’t give us our cups or plates without any direction before he split to the kitchen. I’d give this review a higher rating if employees engaged me in conversion, provided assistance or did something to go above and beyond like offering a to-​go cup for my beverage. Salad bar tong handles touch food and tables are not cleaned immediately after customers leave. Room for improvement.

I cannot say how the food was. It might be fine. They lost my business before they had it.
Their prices were the best ones around and the idea of delivery was very appealing. Unfortunately, the people who answered the phone were argumentative and rude. Very strange for a delivery service.
I ended up ordering from 5^th Quarter Pizza instead. They cost a little bit more, but are still a good value, and they offer different options of sides and extras.
