Quaint neighborhood café, good coffee and fun/creative space for the community. Wish there were more places like this in the neighborhood.

Despite the café being busy, the ambiance was so mellow, relaxing, and welcoming. Their playlist was awesome and I can’t wait to go back!

Really nice place to hang out or work. Café latte was really good. I also had a spicy chicken panini which was delicious. Friendly baristas. Will come back soon.

I liked this little place and plan to come back. Had a really good panini(ham, pear, and brie cheese mmm!) and a yummy side salad. Also ordered a small café au lait which was very frothy how I like it! Some decent variety on menu, lots of snacks to choose from, enough staff on hand, comfy seating with decorative Peruvian print pillows on the seats that caught my eye, and clean restroom. It’s quiet and doesn’t get much foot traffic which I appreciated.

I like the ambiance of this place, and they have a good selection of drinks, snacks, and food. But their barista service has been declining recently. It always takes a long time to get your drink, and today the guy working made mine iced without asking(I wanted it hot). He also messed up the woman behind me’s order, with no apology. The girl who works here on the weekend is great though! I think the midweek baristas have potential, they just aren’t paying enough attention.

This is my favorite coffeehouse. As a local, I appreciate not having to cross Middlefield or El Camino for a good cup of coffee. Through the years, I’ve come to appreciate the businesses clustered on the end of this block. There’s always been a small grocery store, there used to be a quiche factory, a computer club frequented by Sili Valley veterans, a hairdresser, a deli, a yoga studio, dog groomer, and in more recent years, a florist and dance studio along with a dry cleaner and the requisite small grocery, along with Café Zoe. The café is that magical combination of part boho escape, part neighborhood anchor and part village gathering spot. I usually order a cappuccino, sometimes with a salad or sandwich. I’ve bought some of the artsy jewelry made by locals featured there. I think this is one of its best aspects– selling local art. My only complaints are that some of the baristas don’t seem as tuned in to the customers as the owner is, and sometimes people with kids take over the back patio without consideration to others.

Great little neighborhood spot! Their turkey sandwiches are great and all of their sandwiches/paninis are under $ 10. It’s a small café with a small outdoor patio with 2 playhouses and toys. I ate lunch with a coworker and her two kids so we were able to chat and enjoy our lunch with kids playing away. Their chai latte is a must, very creamy. Unfortunately their Earl grey tea latte and soy latte were a miss. They serve Chromatic coffee. I work nearby so I’ve ordered lunch from them for about 15 people. The owner, Kathleen, is so easy and flexible to work with. Everyone had enjoyed their lunch. They even drew pictures on the boxes which was a nice touch.

I really like this place. It’s not easily seen so thanks to Unilocal,I found it. It’s a small place, a little hippy, dark and cozy inside. Not trendy like most new coffee shops. I recommend the pear salad, light and perfectly filling.

3.5 ATMOSPHERE: Quiet, little café located in Menlo Park with outdoor and indoor seating. What I found interesting here was that they sold accessories here which in assuming we’re handmade. Very hipster. FOOD: I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it didn’t disappoint me. I could taste the hint of spiciness in my sandwich which I loved. The only thing was that it took about 15 minutes for it to finish. CUSTOMERSERVICE: I’ve heard complaints about their customer service being slow and luckily, I haven’t experienced it first hand.

Really liked this place. Very homely and plenty of COMFY seating. I had the almond milk latte but it wasn’t so great. Which is fine. Everyone has their own tastes. I went in needing a caffeine fix and got mine. Staff was friendly and the food smelled amazing! Didn’t order anything though. Maybe next time…

Came in on a slow afternoon just after lunch. Had the Turkey cranberry pannini and a cappuccino. The panini came with a small side salad that was an appropriate compliment to the sandwhich in flavor and size. The sandwhich had a good bread, just a little sour and tough like real bread should be(not too American and sweet with sugars) the mustard was a nice touch you don’t see with the usual Turkey cranberry pairing. I would say it could stand on its own as well. The Turkey was a good thick shaving and the cranberry sweetness complimented the mustard and Turkey well. The cappuccino was good, nothing special there. The staff was attentive and pleasent though, which is always appreciated.

Stopped by this place on my way out of town based on a recommendation from my Airbnb host, and we weren’t disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious, the coffee drinks were great, and they have plenty of options. Plus the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!

A true neighborhood coffe shop, serving non-chain coffee. The house blend is superb. Serves simple down to earth breakfast fare: toasted bagels w/cream cheese, even oatmeal and fruit! Very friendly service on top of everything.

The staff here was very friendly and the place has a very nice old-town charm to it that is rare in Silicon Valley. I would give the Mocha 4 stars, it was really flavorful and there was no bitterness at all. As for the food, I’d give 3 stars. The sandwiches and salad were standard fare. Even though I was there before noon it was a 30 minute wait for food(not a lot of other customers in there either). For an amazing sandwich I would have gladly waited that, and with a 4.5 Unilocal rating that was what I was hoping for. I would be willing to give this place another shot in the future, but won’t go out of my way to do so.

I absolutely love cute cafes. This is another one! The décor makes the café very homey, with all of its children’s drawings on the walls, and crafts hanging from the ceiling. The list of espresso drinks they offer is pretty basic, but I didn’t order coffee so I couldn’t remark on the quality. My boyfriend and I both ordered the ham, Brie and pear paninis, which came with small sides of greens and pear. The panini was delicious, although if someone doesn’t like cheese, I wouldn’t recommend they order this. In order of decreased potency, was the cheese, ham, then a thin slice of pear. It was more of a lunch item than a dessert option. The salad was also delicious, as it was fresh and tangy, with the honey mustard dressing and the fresh, crisp pears. We love this café and only wish we had found it sooner so that we may have visited it more often!

Nice people, but mediocre coffee and baked goods plus SLOW service in a kinda quirky, kinda«chain-restaurant-y» environment. I saw the ratings of this place and was surprised. Do people really like this place or do they just like the idea of this place? I’ve been here several times and have always been happy with the servers /baristas and how pleasant they were. But I’m always left standing there wondering why I always have to wait to be served, even when there isn’t a line. What? The coffee there isn’t that good. The espresso especially leaves something to be desired. The baked goods are mediocre. It also bothers me that they always have boxes laying around the common sitting areas. It’s like they don’t care that much about the ambiance even though they have deliberately put up art and professionally made menu signs. Hmmm. No thanks.

When I saw that this café had 4.5 stars, I realized that a reality check is needed. I feel like folks are mostly excited about the idea of this place… as I was at one point in time. The staff are generally friendly, but then you find yourself standing there as the minutes click by on your life while they talk with the customer in front of you, not even acknowledging you’re there. Speed is not their thing even in the morning. Moreover, quality is inconsistent, which is the reason I stopped coming here. First, I ended up with a big hair in my panini, and the person behind the counter had the odd reaction of yelling it out to the staff so that everyone in the café heard them. The person wasn’t sure what to do so I had to ask for a refund since I’d lost my appetite. I also got a yogurt one time, and when I got to work and opened it up, it had mold on the top despite not having yet expired. And then, the final straw was when coffee I purchased on 3 separate occasions tasted strongly like plastic. I couldn’t even put in enough sugar and cream to disguise it. I have no idea how they managed to achieve that. Take home — you’ll likely have a long wait if there is a customer in front of you, and you can’t count on consistent quality of the food and beverages. I really wanted this to be a great place, but it just wasn’t.

Went there for breakfast while visiting California in a business trip, the place is just OK. They have several coffee options none of which is very good, and the food options are just ok. If you are looking for a place with coffee around you, this might be ok.

This place has plenty of seating and wi-fi, but they seem to run out of coffee a lot. One day I came here and at 2pm they only had decaf coffee left, and wouldn’t make more regular coffee, I’m not sure why. Another morning they had regular coffee but weren’t serving decaf and wouldn’t make any. Given that this is a café, they should probably have coffee available. Isn’t that the point of going to a café? It’s the one thing they shouldn’t screw up. If you go to a bar, they don’t run out of alcohol. If you go to the post office, they don’t run out of stamps. If you go to Disneyland, they don’t run out of Mickey Mouse. Get it together Café Zoe, daddy needs his caffeine.

I thought we were in Berkeley. This place has that slightly damp, granola kind of feel to it. It’s got a small storefront but extends out to the back, culminating in a small garden. The latte comes in a super sized bowl and tastes better than Starbucks. Food items were huge and I think that’s why people like it. It’s not the kind of café to perk up your pinky and nibble on tea cakes.

What a lovely little spot! After pining for something other than the local Starbucks, I decided to try out Café Zoe — It’s bikeable and had great reviews. I was quite pleased — as a self-employed person it’s tough to find coffeeshops that don’t mind you parking at a table and using your laptop for a few hours(okay, more like 5 hours, but who’s counting?). With ample table space, lots of outlets, wifi, great food and friendly service, I seem to have hit the sweet spot here. The food was really yummy, and the coffee was extremely plentiful(nice big mugs make me a happy camper). The one thing I need to remember going forward is to bring cash. I felt a little bad after I ordered a refill but didn’t have the cash on hand — fortunately, they accommodated nicely by letting me run a tab and pay out at the end via credit card. My only complaint is that because I live in EPA, it’s not walkable for me, but I’ll live: D

This place is getting worse at every time I come here. There is usually a line for lunch and there’s absolutely no sense of taking care of that quickly. If you come here on a rush, understand you might be 15 minutes on a line waiting for the orders to be taken + 15 for a simple sandwich to be prepared. Too bad — this used to be one of my favorite local spots

Menlo Park is a city that has cultivated small businesses, tucked away in a hidden gem, smack in a residential neighborhood somewhere! It’s fantastic! CAFE Zoe is one of the many quaint businesses that offers a neighborhood comfort, casual, non pretentious, and only boosting with welcoming strangers from all walks of life. I was told they can provide private meetings as well as catering. Their outdoor area at back is fantastic. I was even encouraged to bring my dog the next time around. What a treat and plenty of street parking. Cheers! :p

This café is nice and cozy. A perfect«local» spot to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. They have food and other options as well. I enjoy the white mocha or chai latte. Kathleen is super sweet! She has made her café kid friendly and easy to enjoy. The staff usually checks up on you as well, kind of like a restaurant. There is outside seating in the back and tables in the front as well. Restrooms are always clean!

Excellent service, friendly staff that makes you feel at home. Café ZOE has a nice atmosphere and a lot of art from local artists. Kathleen, the owner, makes amazing sandwiches. My favorite is the ham, brie, and pair sandwich with lettuce and some sort of sweet dressing. Sounds a bit weird at first, but once you’ve tried it you will wake up in the night thinking of nothing else. It is really that good. The sandwich currently isn’t on the menu only made durring catering events, but they will make it upon request, and they do plan on putting it on the menu soon.

a small quiet place! We took the pear ham brie panini and chili burrito. panini tastes fantastic, the fruity flavor was just subtly infused into the melting cheese! Parfait!!! But please do skip the burrito.(just wondering whether they actually made it or from somewhere else)
