This Peets is the best one in Palo Alto. The employees are super nice and manage the place great! Also if you like extra milk in your coffee or drink the milk is always available and they keep low fat, half and half, whole milk, etc. the other Peets on Palo Alto seem to not carry various types of milk. I suspect it’s some kind of cost saving. This peets rocks! Thank you to all the great people that work there!

Nice selection of coffees on their menu! I’ve had the black tie, caramel macchiato, several of the iced teas, and the espresso. Peets hits the spot every time. It also tends to be a bit less crowded than the Starbucks down the street. Frankly, I prefer the drinks here over Starbucks anyway. The service is always quick and friendly. There’s a nice room upstairs that serves as a convenient little hideaway, with views to University Ave. WiFi is a bit slow though, and there’s not many outlets so beware :)

Nice ambient environment. Great place for relaxation and work. Also, try out their matcha green tea latte! They also have seating place on the second floor from where you can see the university avenue. The whole store has strong smell of coffee :)

1 Star for friendly service 1 Star for the clean and not so crowded space Internet is super lousy(hence not so crowded?) Hardly any power sockets(you really want plenty those in a café) If you want to chat with friends or read a book, this is a nice quiet place, if you want wifi, nope!

I am a Peet’s fan. I’m kind of addicted to their Summerhouse iced tea, and am seriously bummed they’re phasing it out for the Mighty Leaf, but I’m going to stick to the basics for this review. Located directly on University Avenue, this Peet’s has a great location. The storefront is tiny, though. Walk too fast and you might miss it. However, once you’re inside, you can see that the space is narrow and tall. There’s even an upstairs loft with a few tables. The drawbacks to having this space is that it isn’t great sitting. The upstairs is cramped and there just aren’t a lot of sots downstairs. This isn’t a Peet’s you can spend a lot of time in. And because it’s downtown PA, the parking situation isn’t super. That being said, if you need your Peet’s fix, you can get it here.

Wanted to have some coffee and work remotely for a bit. Coffee is eh, wifi is useless.

Very sad WiFi situation here. Extremely slow and cuts out often. Would not recommend trying to get any work done here; I’ve had tons of connectivity issues with too much lag. They also have paint/construction folks working, so not a good time to here due to the paint odor, but I was on a time crunch. Other than WiFi issues, the coffee has been fine. The green tea javiva is delicious and they’ll make you a light version on request.

Why haven’t I written a review for this Peet’s yet? I’m literally just arrived and it’s around 5:50 am. I’m sipping a mocha with no whip and enjoying the classical music in the background. This store seems to draw frequent regulars which feels nice. Some of the customers know each other and are playing catch-up. The seating here is unique too because there’s a second floor which is their«quiet area» and then there’s some seating in the front lobby where most people sit at. I should also add that Peet’s mocha is a bit better than Starbucks’s because the chocolate or mocha is less sweeter and has a more«real» chocolate taste rather sugar syrup. I’m glad I’m sipping this!

Great coffee, friendly servers and a nice upstairs. If they would only upgrade the dog-slow wifi, it would be perfect!

A standard Peet’s, in a good way. Coffee is solid – I much prefer it to Starbucks, but it’s not quite Philz, though more affordable than Philz. The staff is friendly and efficient. The small upstairs is usually pretty quiet and I rarely have trouble finding a spot to park up there for a bit of work while I drink. Biggest downside, and keeping it from being a higher rating, is the awful internet. Seems annoying to complain about a free service, but this location’s WIFI has been close to unusable even for just light email writing/Spotifying the last 4 or 5 times I’ve come by(and not much better before that). Starbucks down the street and the Philz a few blocks over have vastly superior internet, if that’s what you’re looking for, even when they are busier than this location.

The only bad thing about this location is parking. I ended up parking on a side street and even then, it took a bit to find a place. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha and I can’t remember what my buddy ordered, except that it was an iced coffee. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We also got a slice of pumpkin cream cheese marble break to share. After I ordered, I saw the salted caramel drink and I thought to change my order but I’ll try it another time. It wasn’t long and they finished both of our drinks. The White Chocolate Mocha was consistent with most of the places and the pumpkin cheesecake bread was pretty good. I usually don’t get baked items but I wanted to try theirs.

I love Peet’s but am dissapointed with this branch. There were flies on the cookies and when I pointed this out to the barista, she didn’t even bat an eye and said, «Oh, yeah… Sorry about that.» Walked out feeling pretty grossed out.

Normally when I come here and try their coffee it’s always been too strong for me but now they have Caramel Macchiato and that’s my drink!!! YES! This morning the place was not busy at all and my drink was made to perfection. I love the cute caramel swirl they drizzle over the foam but it’s not about the drink looking pretty, it’s all about the taste. That first sip was like pure bliss, literally. It was strong but it was also very sweet and with every sip I could taste those caramel and vanilla tones in the coffee. I really hope they are keeping this on the menu and it’s not a seasonal thing because I am in love. Just that one drink converted me to Peet’s Coffee.

OK, big chain. Downstairs is a «normal» but small Peet’s. The drinks and service are what you expect from Peet’s. What makes this place special is the upstairs… Two small rooms that are pretty worn down and poorly maintained, but that’s what gives them their charm. You can hide away for a «private» personal or business conversation, or take advantage of the power and free wi-fi to get some work done. On one visit, I wet up stairs to pound out the the final bits of a project. In less than two hours I witnessed a multi-million dollar deal happen and then a woman talking to her friend about how to tell her boyfriend that she had started seeing someone else… I guess it feels more private than it really is.

My favorite thing about this Peet’s is the quiet upstairs seating area. It’s cute and quiet, with a few tables and power outlets. The drinks and staff are good, drinks are standard and the staff is cool. This Peet’s is typically slower than most so if you need a quiet place to work I would recommend this one over others.

All the employees here seem happy with the work environment. The coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is awesome. Pumpkin Chai Freddo is amazing and the selection of pastries is great. Glad they got sandwiches and salads!!!

A familiar option among lots of different options on University avenue. I got my usual hot chocolate with soy and I like they don’t serve it so scalding hot. They have seating up stairs as well. This is right next to Cream which still seems to have insane lines which I can’t understand.

Don’t get me wrong: I like Peet’s just fine, and the coffee, pastries, and service here are all up to snuff. What is less than appetizing about this particular outlet is the inefficient layout. It’s a long, narrow space where the counter and preparation area takes up most of the shop, leaving some narrow, cramped quarters for seating on the first floor, and an incredibly tight, awkward space on the second floor — which could be put to better use if they made a loft out of it, like Café Venetia across the street. The whole space could use a refresh, not to mention a complete rethink of the layout. Not really a space that’s conducive to anything — not even a quick business meeting, personal conversation, or solo/group work.

This peets is definitely a hit or a miss. Long lines in the morning isn’t so bad. Waiting for the drinks though… that’s another story. Some of the baristas are attentive and friendly, others just don’t care except to take your order. My regular chai is on point though! I come here almost on a daily basis because I work a block away. But lets face it, no other peets can compare to your friendly neighborhood local peets! Everybody knows your name there!

Peet’s going to be my new thing since its close to my new work. I only get the regular coffee here to start my day. They always make it too strong for me. Strong enough to kick my butt! The place only has 1 table outside, 8 tables inside and 5 upstairs. Yeah, I’m the count! Anyways, They’re usually busy in the morning so good luck getting a seat. Free WIFI but you have to ask the staff for the password.
