The Alamo was a close walk from my hotel. Definitely a local sub shop atmosphere, but I’m rating it a 5 star because of what I ate. It was a regular roast beef sandwich. Very well prepared, lightly toasted bun, perfect roast beef sandwich! They were very busy with deliveries and take outs. Great place for a no frills lunch break.

This place is barely c grade. Roast beef is meh, buns are store bought, fries are good. If I could go back in time and change my decision I would. This place was disappointing. Which wich at assembly square is 10x better

Still enjoy eating here, but tried some other stuff and could use some tweaking. Please change your frying oil once a week as the last time I ordered wings I got a weird taste and heart burn. Please use salt on fries, you don’t need to save it for snow storms. Please cook your chicken tenders enough. I got a couple that were still raw in the center, raw chicken kills people. Pasta and subs are still good as always. Thanks

Best roast beef sandwiches in the area. Perfectly cooked, and love the bbq sauce they use, had a great spicy kick to it. Good stuff!

I went in on my lunch break to try a sandwich and have some soup. It was very pricey for the portions you receive, but that’s no the biggest issue. Instantly me and everyone I work with that ate there became ill. We all had food poisoning and we all ate chicken products. Awful experience please beware.

Love this place, roast beef sandwiches on fresh onion rolls are excellent, tacos are also very good!

I just ordered food from here and had it delivered. The delivery was fast, the driver was very nice and the food is hot and so delicious. Best roast beef sandwich I’ve had in the area, actually probably ever had. The BBQ sauce is so good, the onion rings are great and the beef is perfectly prepared. This is my new go-to for lunch!

Very disappointed considering the other reviews on this page. The roast beef sandwich had no flavor whatsoever and very dry with a soggy, flat bun. It looked like a MacDonald’s sandwich, which is fine if that’s what you’re expecting. My girlfriend had their buffalo chicken salad and was equally unimpressed.

Completely unfamiliar with the area, staying locally & starving at 8:20PM, I called Alamo, ordered a «regulah» Roast beef with horseradish, onion, lettuce, tomato & fries & it was ready in 5 minutes! Soft round sesame bun piled high with rare roast beef, almost but not quite dripping with horseradish, this quick bite hit the bill. Solid old fashioned RB sandwich with fries and a large seltzer for under $ 11… What? Clearly the place has been around for years because of good food great prices and snappy service. I’m going back to try a few more things!

Me: Searching for an overtaken fort to deliver roast beef to my face. Alamo: I can dig it. And dig it the Alamo did. Most of the beef is ultra rare(as requested) and pretty much melted away on every bite. The spice on the horseradish is milder than I’d expect, and they don’t serve au jus on the side, but for a delivered sanguich, it’s sturdy, butter-soft and a decent size for the money. Her basicB fried goodness(chicken tenders, cheese sticks, fries) arrived hot and crisp, and with the barest minimum of delivery fees($ 2). Normally, I’d snag a bench for an in-house experience before penning a review, as car runs tend to destroy all but pizza; however, Alamo is a total nightmare to park near, and the final product gave a solid impression about what’s going on in what looks like an otherwise run-of-the-mill beef & fry. We’re not talking stuff of legend(no au jus for the beef? Really?), and at $ 6 a ‘wich, that’s not what I’m expecting. Go on witcha bad self, Alamo.

I don’t give full 5 stars unless people really go out of their way to treat me good. I have a specific order the kid that answers always says see you 10 minutes Mike. He sees hundreds of people s day and I don’t know his name. Food is great. 100% better than Kelly’s roast beef. I’d eat there everyday if I could.

I went to have lunch there today. I love going there for the fries ! Lol but I ordered a chicken and cheese sub(which is what I order everytime I go there) and when it came out there was maybe one piece of cheese on it! Which if you order chicken and cheese subs from anywhere you know that it’s grilled chicken smothered in cheese. When we told the girl there was not much cheese on it and it was dry she CHARGED us $ 1.07 to put more cheese !!! It’s just annoying that you spend money on food to get something that wasn’t exactly what you wanted just to be charged more for what you like. And also they toasted the bread so much that most of it was still on my plate when I was done eating. Very disappointing considering I loved going here for lunch

Solid fried New England style seafood. I had the fried whole belly clams. Good enough that I’ll be back again.

Best Greek Chicken Kebab salad! We have been getting take out here for 7+ weeks(since our brand new refrigerator died). Will continue to be a regular, even after the replacement unit arrives! I hear the steak tip salad is delicious as well.

Amazing onion rings, rice, steak tips, salad! Fried shrimp awesome too! We get Alamo Roast Beef and Seafood on Fridays now. My fiancé loves the fried shrimp and I love the onion rings, rice, salad and parmesan peppercorn dressing. Yes, I even love delivery salad with their amazing dressing. It does come in syrofoam(the steak tips, rice, and onion rings) but they wrap the steak tips in tin foil as to not turn the container into a wet pile of mush. Their delivery is fast and the food is hot, I am always surprised that the food stays hot and the salad stays cold(it comes in a small square tin foil like tray). Can’t say enough good things about Alamo. Their steak tips are pretty good, not as good as other places but always cooked the way I want(well done, I know. I like them well done) maybe I’ll try to get them medium well tonight but I don’t want to mess with a good thing, they come out nicely charred, not too much and not all flimsy. What else to say? Give the Alamo a call!

Incredible food and prices. Had a fried shrimp sandwich. It was delicious, the cole slaw and tartar sauce were homemade and the french fries were perfect. Would highly recommend to others.

Go to place for chicken kabob wraps. Good charring with a great dressing! Never a long wait for food, and reasonably priced. Girl is very friendly who takes the takeout orders, too!

Holy mother of god. The spicy curly fries are delectable. Perfectly spicy and SUPER crispy. I’m going to have dreams about them tonight. The super roast beef with any kind of cheese, whatever bbq sauce they use, and the horseradish sauce on a sesame seed bun is… how do I put this: I need a shower. A cold shower. Yes, you heard me. I don’t even smoke and I need a cigarette after this whole shindig. Random tacos as side orders? YESPLEASE. SOGOOD. Try all of these things and more, at Alamo, Land of Food Orgasms.

Am I am fan because I live down the street or am I am fan because it’s good? Both? Believe me if the food was horrible I would not waste my time or money going there. I love that they carry tacos like Bill and Bobs in Woburn and the place that used to be on Broadway in Everett. Dining area can get crowded quick do to the fact they only have 4 tables. Delivery is available or you can call ahead for pick up. Parking can be tough sometimes. I tend to walk down and avoid that hassle. Their dinners are HUGE. Easily two meals. Roast beef is solid. They carry Diet Mountain Dew. WOOHOO!
