Great local jeweler and real watch repair shop with a small retail space. Located in the Bella Vista plaza on the south end of Central avenue. This is a family run independent business that provides excellent customer service.
I have used Minkler’s for battery change outs, band replacements and a couple custom repairs and all experiences with them have been positive and professional. A no nonsense kind of a guy at this jewelry & watch shop, you will be pleased with the service and quality of work received while here — I have never been disappointed.
As mentioned by others battery change outs take minutes not days or weeks, the same with my band replacement — all said was there for less than 10 minutes both times. The same with custom work, the amount of time required for the work was not out of line for the services asked.
There may be other jewelers in the area but, I have yet to find one better or more efficient while working. Straight to the point, no nonsense professional service, get it done right the first time at a reasonable price — this is the best jewelry/​watch repair shop around.

Just found this business.
I needed a watch battery. Was already in Radio Shack but they wouldn’t/couldn’t install the battery for me.
I asked where someone might be who could help me.
A woman standing beside me said there was a jeweler in McKinleyville which is where I was headed.
Long story short… found him, purchased the battery which he installed pronto.
Glad to know he’s there.
Very nice guy.
