Applebee’s

Order same dish but taste a little bit different every time!
Small portion for the price, it’s an ok place for me.

I’m not usually a complainer when it comes to food… but my experience with this Applebee’s brings it out in me. I’ve eaten here a few times over the years and it’s been just ok. Truth be told, I’m not an Applebee’s fan to begin with, so just ok is my normal sentiment. «Just ok» gives the Maysville Applebee’s something to strive for. And the two star rating is generous… and given only because of our server, who was attentive and trying to do the best she could.
We arrived at lunch time during Sunday (First mistake!) and hit in with the church crowd. We were seated in ~ 20 minutes which wasn’t bad considering the line. Once seated, however, it took over an hour to get our food (which was queso for an appetizer and macaroni for the entrée.) The queso was good, but not worth the hour wait. The macaroni took an additional 15 minutes and when it came out, had no cheese on it. Seriously… just bland noodles with some chicken tenders thrown on top. Thankfully, the server brought us cheese to put on it. The cheese made the meal palatable. The overall experience… not so much.
Unrelated to Applebee’s…but an interesting experience while there. (If you’re reading this, lady, rephrase your sales pitch!)
While waiting, I overheard a lady telling the crowd about the church she had helped start, it’s growth over a short period of time, and also «who they’re going after». I can’t tell you how many times I heard that woman say, «We are going after the people in their 30’s.» As a 30-​something, I can tell you… the last thing I want is to be «gone after»…especially when it involves religion. God love her… I know she didn’t mean anything by it, but she made Christianity sound like it comes with pitchforks.

Ran out of ribs by 8pm on Friday night. Place had music so loud you couldn’t talk across the table. The service was terrible and was brought the wrong food twice. One of the servers ran into me and started cussing. Place seems like a redneck club.

Not a huge Applebee’s fan but we stopped while visiting Maysville since we wanted some decent food and we find consistency from Applebee’s to Applebee’s. Got «favorite» dishes that were their old reliable selves. Applebee’s is what it is so you go there with reasonable expectations. In a bright note, our server was attentive and sweet as a peach. It deserved more than 2 stars.

I’ve been here numerous amounts of times and the service is always awful. It doesn’t matter what time of the day I come I somehow always have a bad experience.

Food is good. However, today the serving trays where dirty. Two of them cover in old food. The waitress said they (cooks) just handed them to her. Unprofessional of her. She represents the company.
Why are we as a society excepting poor performance.
Talked to the manager. I hope that she will take direct action and fix this problem so know one after me will see the same issues.

Food is good. Fiesta lime chicken was very good. Would be four stars if the service was faster. The device and food prep is slow.

Service was very slow and it wasn’t that busy. I ordered a steak medium and it was cooked to well done, dry an not a touch of even pink in it. Not very happy with this one and I usually love applebees. Plus it was pricy for what it was.
