I bought a mattress from hhgregg, which after a year and a half is now sagging. It’s a memory foam bed, and this shouldn’t have happened. The woman in the store was nice when I went to ask about the warranty– the Serta dealer says that we have to go through the store from which we bought it. She told me she had never heard of anything like this happening, and gave me a number to call. Called the number and chose the option«Mattress Warranty» After 33 minutes, a woman picked up. I explained about my mattress, and she said she had to connect me to the correct department. I figured maybe I misunderstood the prompt… A few minutes go by, and a man picks up. I once again tell him about my mattress. He says I have the wrong department, and he will transfer me. I waited another 25 minutes before hanging up. I have never had a problem in store, or with delivery, but due to this lack of customer support, I will never buy from this store again. At least I was able to get my house cleaned up while I was on hold…

They had a great selection of product but awful service. They couldn’t even work their own printer I felt scared buying a product from a person who couldn’t use it.

Nice store but awful installation service. We spent $ 1200 on a dishwasher and scheduled delivery/installation. The Gregg installers: –never phoned — as guaranteed in the agreement — to confirm delivery and estimate arrival time –never answered the phone when we called repeatedly that evening; we finally got some woman with a crying baby in the background who knew nothing and offered to do nothing –never showed up on delivery day despite throughout the day, making endless promises and coming up with dozens of excuses short of «the dog ate my homework» –and then had the gall to suggest that we just have them come another day — despite the fact, as we’d explained, this is our weekend home and it had meant taking off from work and travelling only to be stiffed As negligent as the installers were, when we called Gregg directly, they claimed there was nothing they could do(perhaps make a phone call?). We were so annoyed, we drove back to Gregg and had them remove the charge from our credit card. And the craziest thing is, Gregg didn’t even ask why we were«returning a dishwasher.» We wound up driving a few miles and buying the identical model from their biggest competitor. This particular Gregg might be OK for appliances you can take with you, but go elsewhere for all the big stuff. The installers are negligent and the store doesn’t give a damn.
