Nice people but breakfast was not hot and fresh. No fresh food options besides very brown bananas. The chair in my «Executive Suite» was flimsy cheap and uncomfortable. One thing I need to be productive. $ 139 is too high and no AAA discount available? Not local business discounts? Owners here need to get with the program. At least my room was clean and the window opened. I will try something else next time despite the Marriot points.

Rooms still smell old, recommend staying at the Residence Inn if you want a Marriott property.

The Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Maumee, Ohio, is in the Toledo suburbs. The location is very convenient for the traveler on the Ohio Turnpike(I-80). The hotel looked like it had been renovated in the not too distant past. We had a two queen bed room of average size. The in-room free WiFI was very good. Other amenities include a flat-screen TV, hair dryer, and iron with ironing board. Fairfield Inns have recently switched to a complementary hot(as opposed to Continental) breakfast. Complimentary breakfast options now center around scrambled eggs. Our breakfast buffet also included turkey Canadian Bacon. There are also waffles, cold cereal, juice, bagels, pastry, and yogurt. Complimentary coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day. The hotel has a large indoor pool and an business center with two Internet workstations and a printer an scanner. The Maumee Fairfield Inn is in a newer district of office parks. There is also a restaurant row several blocks long along West Dussel Drive. You have a wide range of dining options for lunch or dinner! Free parking with a BP gas station and convenience store just around the corner. This was an excellent choice for a first night out of the Washington, DC, area.

They remodeled this hotel in July and did a great job. The rooms are clean and they offer a free breakfast. $ 69.00 a night. They have a pool area, Hot Tub, Tech Center, Washer & Dryer(for a fee). The rooms are a good size and clean. We came back in the middle of the day to the room, to our surprise, the housekeeping lady was in the bathroom on her hands and knees scrubbing the floor area. We commented on our surprise and she said they always scrub the floor each time they clean. Wireless Internet also. Great location, and close to many restaurants. You want to stay in this area if you are visiting Toledo.

I’m not usually one to care about leaving reviews for hotels, because it’s sort of a «you get what you pay for» mentality. However — we paid something crazy, like $ 50 for this room on Priceline. The front-desk guy! Midwest charm, super friendly, super chatty. Love it. Then, we pass by the pristine pool, the small but efficient fitness room(they also offer use of an additional fitness center a mile away, by just showing your card there), the lavish display of where our breakfast will be served. Darling! Now our room. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a room that wasn’t at a boutique hotel and said«wow, the decorations in here are adorable!». Really nice room, quiet, good temperature, huge TV with tons of channels(thank god I didn’t miss Top Chef). I’m sold on coming here next time we make the NYC to Chicago drive.

Stayed for one night. The area is really building up around there. The place is a typical Fairfield. Room was fine, beds were fine, bathroom was fine. Restaurants in the area will give a discount if you show your room key. Generally in the 10% range but that pays for part of the tip. Breakfast was good and plentiful and more towards the Residence Inn level. Road construction is currently going on(9⁄2009) so take it slow getting in there. Go to Fallen Timbers Mall to take life easy. There are«fire pits» there and you can sit and watch them while having an ice cream or play chess at the giant chess board. Nice mall.
