This resort is so beautiful. They have a nice fountain in the entrance with swans that swim in the pond. There pools are very nice and it’s a newer hotel.

I’m unsure about some of the other customers that gave this hotel bad reviews, but my boyfriend and I had a totally different experience. This hotel is amazing! The ambiance is paradise. Right as you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly staff and a beautiful pond with waterfall. The pink flamingos and koi fish are a nice touch. The grounds are well kept and clean. The pools were a little cold when we went, but the waterside was so much fun! Our room was a nice size, large tv with a beautiful garden view. Clean! No bugs, and well kept. Also, we were right near an elevator, and didn’t hear a thing, which other reviewers complained about. And the bed was so comfortable! The hotel is right on the beach and right next to Black Rock, where snorkeling is amazing! Several nice restaurants walking distance, and Whalers Village next door for shopping. My only actual complaint about this resort was the service fees when you check in. $ 30 extra a night to stay, which is something that wasn’t explained when booking. So staying 7 nights, it adds up… And the Luau was a lot of fun, wonderful performers, but the food was sub par. All in all, we would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back.

Honestly the resort is more 4 stars but I wanted to boost its Unilocal reputation because it is DEFINITELY better than 3.5 stars(which in the Unilocal universe is essentially a death sentence). The grounds are gorgeous, no complaints there. The lobby overlooks this outdoor area with waterfalls, caves, flamingos, swans, and koi. It’s truly spectacular. The pools are great! Water slides, waterfalls, exciting little nooks and crannies everywhere. They can do a slightly better job really checking the place over throughout the day because rude guests will sometimes discard garbage in those nooks and crannies. However the pools are huge and overall very well maintained. The beach is insanely gorgeous and quiet. Don’t know what it’s like during peak season though. We never had a problem finding chairs to sit at by the pool(which are free) but again… might be a different scenario during peak season. The room was clean, the balcony gorgeous, and the bathroom was modern. We got upgraded so I imagine the balconies overlooking the parking lot would not be as magical but the ocean front view is phenomenal. We did room service and they were kind and the food was good. We frequented the little bakery kiosk a lot and was never disappointed. Can’t say what the quality of the on property restaurants were though. Cons: They do not do the best job on quality control when it comes to who can play in their pools. They hand out their wrist bands to anybody, which sometimes led to a noisier pool(kids coming from the beach). They had a few times where they attempted to solicit us which was annoying(when you get towels some jack a$$ tried to sell us overpriced sun glasses, and when we first got there they told us to get a «gift» which ended up being a sales pitch for some time share). Not to discourage anyone from coming here… it happened only twice in our whole stay. Overall our stay was truly phenomenal!

The heavenly bed was not so heavenly, the first 3 nights we both struggled with a lumpy, worn out mattress, that was finally replaced, but still not as great of a quality as I have had other places. Also, given this was a major issue, there was nothing they offered us to make up for this. The bed is a major reason I love these hotels, so it’s not a minor issue that is sucked! The property is nice, well groomed, centrally located, although the beach front rooms are noisy, they face the pool and families are up early, we liked seeing the sun rise in our mountain side room. The bathrooms are tiny, no tub and only one sink that is basically in the bedroom and faces the bed. The hotel could use some love and upgrades. There was also no mini bar, although for some reason there was a price list for it in the room. Some other things, the beach is public so the chairs and umbrellas were a whopping $ 50/day, no we are not here for the pool full of kids. Given the cost for the hotel, I would want to see this included or a bit more reasonable. And since you’re paying $ 30 resort fee, that basically covers nothing, I was not impressed. The buffet was nice, and having a Starbucks on the property is great too. Meals and snacks were easy, during the day, you can charge everything to the room. We stayed at the Villa’s last time and found the rooms to be much nicer and the beds much nicer too, the beach was less crowded and secluded, but no food options.

Really wished I could give this place more than 3 stars. When you walk in and see the massive waterfalls, you feel like ah now this is paradise! With the pink flamingos and big fish. Great first impression. Thankfully self parking is included in daily resort fees. Please rent a compact car like Hyundai Elantra’s. The parking spots here as well as all of Maui are tiny. If self parking is full(every night we were there) the valet parking is free(bonus). Our room was located right next to the elevator and man it sounded like a freight train in our room, every time an elevator moved. Boo. Nice outside view of pool and beach though. The rooms are showing its age. Heavenly bed wasn’t too heavenly with lumpy comforters, and pillows with zero support. The tv is an old flat screen with only showtime as its premium movie channel. At least the water pressure in shower was strong. Housekeeping. Didn’t clean our room until I flagged someone close to 6pm, please clean our room! The other days were okay, except first morning(need to put DND sign out next time) they knocked at 8am to clean room. Food: didn’t eat at restaurant except for Relish burger bar. The pineapple pork pizza was good. Bartender wasn’t the friendliest guy, but we managed. No music at bar area or restaurant(all outdoors). We liked hanging out at the adults only pool and its bar. Good music and friendly bartenders too. Everything closes at or well before 11pm! Spa: highlight of my stay at Westin. Great men’s sauna, whirlpool, and steam room. Awesome heavenly massage too. Didn’t work out but they have a fully equipped fitness room. Concierge: hats off to them in getting us luau tickets, helicopter tour, and booking our massages. Thank you Bryce! Pools were awesome and same with the beach(costs extra to rent chairs and umbrella at the beach though). No wonder the pools were more crowded. Whalers Village is right next door with lots of shopping, ABC store, food court, and two restaurants. Walk on the boardwalk to get there. So much faster!).

Beautiful resort. We did not stay here but I was here for a work conference hosted by symposium medicus. The conference rooms were nice and large with cool crystal chandelier. They served us complimentary coffee and tea each morning. We also each got a ticket to try their bistro for morning buffet. Although food was good, lines were too long. They need to develop a better system of seating people. It’s a buffet so shouldn’t take that long just to get people to their tables! Parking was an issue. We had to park next door at the wharf and only partial validation was given. 10 $ for parking a day. Compared to the other conferences and hotels I have been to, they have generally been complimentary or completely validated parking so this was a bit of a disappointment. The resort was decorated beautifully with live animals! Black swan, white swan, flamingoes, koi fish, parrots and with a beautiful man made waterfall. They had a couple of pools and the resort was beach front. However, the cost per day and cost for parking would prob kill your wallet hah so stay nearby and come enjoy the resort amenities ;)
