Classic 50’s style Ice cream parlor with dozens of fresh made ice cream flavors Strawberry chocolate chip is my favorite, Food is decent diner style hamburgers, fried chicken salads also offer wide variety of cakes, neighborhood favorite so usually crowed near dinner time during the summer. there is a public parking lot next to the restaurant but it fills up so parking can be difficult. I suggest you pack a cooler if traveling because one taste and you are definitely going to want to take home a quart or two of the ice cream

Went on a Saturday evening for dessert with three other people. I expected a wait given the day and time, plus as I found out when we arrived, a portion of the store the seating was removed for the sale of chocolate Easter bunnies. After about a half hour we sat down and ordered our ice cream. Service was good despite being very busy. We each got a different ice cream sundae and we all enjoyed.

Great ice cream but very expensive for what you get. I went in at 9:40 and they wouldn’t seat me to serve me ice cream meanwhile the place was still packed with people. Waitress was rude and had an attitude. When I took the ice cream to go it was $ 13 for two one scoop ice creams with syrup. Total rip off! Very disappointed in the service I received

This is a great old fashion ice cream parlor. The burgers are good and they have a great cobb salad. Of course the ice cream is great because it is home made. The décor is great and you really feel you are back in the 1950s.

We went there last night, on a Saturday, based on Unilocal reviews. Very casual but wonderful food and service. We had chicken salad, soup and a shared a terrific sundae. The section we were in only had a few large tables so you might want to call ahead for a bigger group. We will definitely come back with the kids.

I really don’t see what all the hype about this place is. The burgers which they’re supposedly known for, along with their ice cream, are gross. The buns are always stale! The ice cream is nothing to rave about and their whipped cream tastes like butter. The homemade chocolates are the only reason I gave 2 stars. I’ve finally decided to give up on this place for food and ice cream.

Krisch’s is one of my favorite places to go for ice cream. It is the perfect place to go with family or an ice cream date. They have an awesome selection of ice cream choices, which is great for sharing. The atmosphere was a cool retro look. The Super Sock Hop was a 5 scoop ice cream sundae that was delicious.

Our server was friendly. The servings were large. But the food was just ok(apps were delicious, dinner was ehhh). I also feel it was a little pricey. Our bill came to $ 76 for 1 root beer float, an app sampler, 2 sandwiches, and a meatloaf dinner. No sodas or desserts. We weren’t expecting gourmet food at an ice cream parlor, so we know next time to come for apps and dessert.

Hats off to Krisch’s for revamping their menu and greatly improving the quality of their product! Meals are actually now very good here, and the burgers are ultra impressive — the availability of delicious tater tots in lieu of fries is an added bonus that I love, glad we gave them another chance!

This place is amazing! The selection is so big, it took me such a long to choose what I wanted. I got the strawberry shortcake, and boy it was it delicious! Me and a few friends ordered different things and I can’t remember what they ordered, but seems you can’t go won’t work what you order. All of it was yummy. Their portions are massive, so be careful when choosing your size. It’s a great place to check out if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it.

Have been here twice now. Once for ice cream only and once for breakfast. Ice cream is great! With cool flavor choices– my husband had strawberry shortcake and loved it. I went classic with butter pecan. Huge portions. Breakfast was really good too! Loved the potatoes! Will write more when we go for lunch or dinner but have high hopes.

We waited 20 minutes on a Saturday evening . Kirsch’s has the feel of a small town ice cream shop from way back when… or should I say a greasy spoon? Let me begin with one positive —They serve breakfast anytime of day which is great because I love breakfast food and I know I can safely eat an egg white omelette without killing my diet –but not tonight — this egg white omelette was so greasy as were the vegetables I ordered in the omelette –yuck! I ordered an egg white omelette with tomato, onion and feta –it was served with toast and home-fries –the cost $ 6.99 for the omelette -$ 1.25 extra for egg whites(ok I get that) but how do you charge additional for each ingredient beyond the eggs in an omelette –that’s insanity –or maybe just greedy– I can understand charging for more than two or three ingredients but charging for each ingredient is ridiculous –and the prices for these ingredients were even more ridiculous $ 1.50 additional for tomato,(the tomatoes were not fresh –they appeared to be from a can of diced tomatoes and then soaked in oil.) and $ 1.25 for feta –oops looks like they forgot to charge me extra for the greasy onions. My daughter ordered the kids meal a cheeseburger served with fries and it was ok at best. It tasted like a frozen beef patty placed on a greasy grill –then slapped upon a bun with a slice of Cheese that was most probably wrapped in plastic. Her meal included a fountain drink and ice cream(a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles –she didn’t want the sprinkles) She requested hot fudge and whipped cream for an additional charge of 3.78 –a $ 1.89 a topping –the whipped cream is very dense, it appears to be homemade. Homemade whipped cream is great for pies and puddings but it really doesn’t belong on ice cream. My daughter stated there were hard pieces within the whipped cream so she took it off. She ordered rainbow cookie ice cream. The ice cream contained large pieces of rainbow cookie, the ice cream was very good but very sweet .The hot fudge was excellent The ice cream defiantly tasted as if it was homemade. I contemplated giving two to three stars but after several flies flew in our faces and on our table and my daughter slipped on a spill that was never cleaned up I could not in good consciousness give more than one stars. The quality of the ingredients was cheap and preparation was poor. Overall, it was a disappointment-the restaurant felt dirty and quality was sub-par with prices that were not warranted –it’s a really cute place with tons of potential and I wouldn’t mind paying but the quality of the food was just was not there and the restaurant felt dirty with flies in our face and table, dirt on the bottom of the container holding the jams and as I mentioned earlier the hazardous spill that went ignored.

We stopped here on our way back from Tobay beach. The dinners were good(not remarkable but good) and the portion sizes were large. We shared the fisherman a platter, fish and chips, and a kids spaghetti. One of us had the chili which was probably the tastier of what we selected. The home made ice cream is the real reason to stop here. Lots of flavors, toppings, and sauces.

Came in here after another generic diner experience was going to occur down the block. I called krischs to see if there was a wait and the lady said come on in, left the diner and stumbled into this hidden gem!!! My first restaurant dream was to have a 50’s diner so when I walked in I was so excited to see all the décor and fun memorabilia !!! My sister and I had to make it fast but obviously weren’t gonna be those assholes that mention it, but we didn’t need to worry cause our food came out within 4 minutes no joke! I ordered a grilled cheese, a side of ham and sweet tea– all cooked to perfection and the ham wasn’t dry =) My sister got the bacon ham and cheese on a roll breakfast sandwich and a Nutella shake. She loved the sandwich and the shake goes without saying. And when you order one Nutella shake it really ends up being 2 full cups of HEAVENLYNUTELLALOVE they have multiple flavors of unique ice creams that I will definitely be back to try! AND they are open late till 11 on the weekdays. Say what??? Think I found my new favorite local spot =] Thank you Krischs!!! For giving my sister and I a wonderful experience!

Love this place. Was here last Sunday, waitress was extremely attentive and accommodating with food requests. With all the options I always stick to the same thing, it’s consistent quality and almost always the staff is super friendly. How can you not love a place that has fluffernutter ice cream??? Oh wait, you can’t. Go to spot on Long Island for a mom and pop diner with fantastic ice cream and options!

I came for ice cream and had a feeling the place would be good because it was packed. Two small cups were around $ 8 and change which is kind of pricey in my eyes until I saw the size of the small. It was easily a medium/large. That’s kind of annoying. I felt wasteful not finishing it, but I did think I was getting a small not such a big serving. Maybe they have a junior/kiddie size I can get next time? I got the rocky road and it was very good and full of nuts. Super creamy ice cream that doesn’t melt fast. Could have used more marshmallows. I would definitely come back to try their other flavors. The place does seem unorganized, you can’t tell where the line starts/ends. People are constantly coming up to the register with receipts to pay while other people are ordering at the same time to the same girl at the cashier. Places like this drive me a little crazy. Our order took a little longer than I thought it would for two scoops of ice cream. And they gave us plastic soup spoons to eat our hard ice cream with. It was really difficult to eat with and I thought I was going to break the spoon the whole time. This place does have great ice cream, I hope they work out these kinks though.

Visit Date: March 6, 2015 Hubby and I came here with my family! This place reminds me of a place that should definitely make an appearance on diners, drive-ins and dives. I had the veggie burger with mozarella served on pretzel bread. Hubby and I split the sweet potato casserole fries. I also had the peanut butter blow out for dessert and some coffee. The coffee was standard diner fare, good, not the nasty weak coffee that some establishments serve. The burger was good, but I wasn’t too impressed with the pretzel bread. I’m used to the pretzel bread from the village lanterne though and that pretzel bread trumps all so I’m spoiled. The sweet potato casserole fries were awesome but I wish they used real marshmallows instead of fluff it would have been so much better IMO. The peanut butter blow out dessert was awesome! The ice cream here is so delicous and wonderful! Since we paid for dinner my mom bought us ice cream to take home with us so we’ll have krich’s tasty ice cream until we run out of it! Definitely a nice old fashioned mom & pop shop with homemade ice cream and homemade chocolate that’s worth the visit!!!

Oh Krisch’s, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways… First of all, it is such a casual and cool environment that it’s fun to just go there, the service is consistently good and the food is always satisfying. There is nothing here that isn’t good… no great. It’s like a diner but a thousand times better. The menu is so large and I think they pretty much have every comfort food covered. Back in my meat eating days, I was a huge fan of the Meatloaf(Hot and Open is amazing) and the Chicken Cordon Bleu(so good). The burgers are also solid. The Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw are delicious. I really can’t think of anything that I’ve had that wasn’t good. The best part, of course, is the homemade ice-cream . I have eaten here so many times and have never, ever been disappointed. It’s a nice, friendly spot with great food and amazing dessert. There is such a variety of flavors and toppings that there is something for everyone. If you don’t like ice cream, the pies are great. They also have cakes and shakes but I haven’t tried them because I stuff myself with ice cream! t.
