Long Island, NY
Hyde’s is a local family ran frozen sweet shop. It’s tiny and located on a nondescript corner of broadway. They scoop gelato, ice cream and italian ices. Bascially everything cold and sweet, you could say they safely cover all bases. They have tons of options. I’ve only had the gelato (so far) and while the texture is perfect, I didn’t adore every flavor. Cannolli was decent, hazelnut was meh… so I’d say shoot for the pistachio. It was downright delicious.
The staff behind the counter was egregiously sweet the handful of times I’ve stopped by and even offered some «doggy» peanut butter ice cream for the pup.
Attention aspiring linguists and etymologists — lf you’ve ever wanted to hear true to life lawn-​GUY-​land accents, Massapequa and Massapequa Park are your south shore gems. Filled with city expats, excops, firemen and Italians, you’ll hear a gamete of funny pronunciation and colloquialisms in and around this place. I love it. Your mileage may vary, however.

Great selection of Italian Ices and Gelato. I haven’t come close to trying every flavor yet, but we do have a long summer ahead.
The Coconut Ice, Vanilla Chip, Cannolli, and Hazelnut all were excellent!
Great tasting ices, and friendly family run atmosphere with sidewalk seating as well.
Give Ice Palace a try, You won’t be disappointed.

Love this place. I drive from Baldwin for the graham cracker ice cream and the rocky mountain brownie shake! This is a staple ice cram spot for my family. The selections of ice cream are endless.
