Consistently good, fast delivery, no matter what we order. I just wish I could order online…

Probably the best Chinese food we have had since we moved up to tuba county from sac county. I’m picky with my general chicken, and I loved it here.

I’ve been enjoying the China Moon since 1996, when a group of us were studying for finals at Yuba College and someone suggested China Moon. I am so glad they did! Everything I’ve tried and everything anyone I’ve brought with me has tried has gotten a double thumbs up and I have a large picky family. We call it the pink palace sometimes, but really I don’t care what color it is when the food is that good and in a quantity that means a delicious snack goes home with you!

Surprisingly good! I have eaten at almost every Chinese establishment in the area and been disappointed each time. I had given up on finding decent Chinese. Someone recommended this place to my husband and, I’ll admit, I never would have gone if not for that. It is really a hole in the wall. But the food is legit and it is CHEAP! We had the combo appetizer(fried shrimp, chicken, egg rolls, rangoon, BBQ pork) and every item was delicious. I had the Mandarin Chicken lunch special(under $ 6 for a large portion with fried rice and a bowl of really good hot and sour soup) and my husband had the Mongolian Beef. The food was tasty and fresh and the sauces were light(other restaurants in the area are so heavy handed with the cornstarch but China Moon is not, thankfully). I had enough left over to bring home for dinner. Hubby managed to shove all of his in his face. Another patron next to us ordered Sizzling Rice Soup and it looked amazing so I will have to try that next time. Don’t overlook this place, it’s a hidden gem!

This place has great food, daily specials, assertive and kind service lunch till 1pm and a early bird special from 3pm to 5pm comes with rice or chowmein ur choice entrée one shrimp and egg roll 5 to 7 $ meals with leftovers they also have free delivery after 5pm with a 15 $ min order and family meal deals the food is real food, reasonable priced, good service, been there a very long time, mom and pop family Owned and operated has the best hot and sour soup I have ever had comes with ur special, good service, great price, decent amount of food, high quality food great place to get a valuable meal and dinning experience, I would rather spend my hard earned money here at thee athentic China MooN were they are more then happy to make you any or all the dishes with real food, from people who are fair and serve u an honest meal then go to panda express were they are a huge corporation that has lost its placement with being personable and all the see us as fools who will keep showing up and spending big money on a small plate as they over charge for there food, give u the customer the smallest, skimpy, portions of food that they can get away with and shocked over there Half a cup tiny portions and then using gmo veggies I got tied of being ripped off and found this great little place that everyone can enjoy so try it out one of Marysville calif best keep secrets and awesome place to eat I gave it a 4 star rating could have given a five star however this place is slightly vintage not modern but loved and gently warn but clean and kept and in the historic downtown area

Yum! Grabbed a To-Go menu as my son got a hair cut next door at Uppercut Barbershop. Ordered 4 To-Go lunch specials because it was before 3:00pm. And everything is amazing, especially the cashew chicken. Don’t let the outside fool you. The inside is nice and clean. I was able to sub fried rice on 2 of the lunch specials for chow mien with no problem. Everything was made fresh, made to order and ready in 15 minutes. I paid less than $ 30 to feed a family of 4. I will be ordering again real soon! Very friendly, very clean.

When I was in college, I briefly waitressed at a Chinese restaurant where the cook yelled at me in Cantonese and I handled half the tables in the large restaurant by myself. Believe it or not, this experience didn’t put me off Chinese food, although I did walk out the door one evening after my shift and simply not go back.. . ever, to date. But I digress. China Moon serves good — but not great — Chinese food at affordable prices. My husband and I wonder every time we go in how they stay in business because the house is never close to full when we’re there. That’s one of the attractions, though: We can always get a table. The lady who presides over the cash register and the waitstaff has been there for years and years. She always inquires after our family and about my husband’s back because he suffered a back spasm once while we were eating several years ago.(When that happened, the waitresses gathered around him and brought a straight-backed chair into which they helped him, which made it easier for him to sit and eat without intense pain.) We love her decorum and friendliness. Our favorites are standards: Mu Shu Pork(love their plum sauce with this dish), Spicy Garlic Pork, Cashew Chicken(lots of zucchini in this dish), Vegetable Delight, and their Hot and Sour Soup. The lunch specials and early bird dinners are cheap, cheap, cheap! The restaurant isn’t hugely attractive, although it’s intriguing: There are bunches of plastic fruit hanging from the ceiling fixtures, murals, decorations with Chinese motifs throughout the place, and a big aquarium up front that used to amuse our youngest child while we ate. If you’re feeling antisocial, there’s a big-screen TV up high on one wall. China Moon isn’t the kind of place that locals tell you you HAVE to try. It’s a comfortable, inexpensive, tried-and-true restaurant that you always hope will keep its doors open.

Although this place looks like a total dump both inside and out, the staff was great and the food was even better. Give this place a chance… if you can get past the pink EVERYTHING, you will enjoy the food. It is very cheap and yummy!

My girlfriend and I ate here as we were passing through on our way to redding. The waitress was very kind, patient, and helpful. We had the Kung Pao chicken and Mu Shu Veggies, they were both good and big portions. I think the bill was $ 14 with tea. You could do much worse.

Although the staff are very kind and the food is very affordable, China Moon embodies every stereotype about low-class Chinese restaurants. The décor is a nauseating variety of pink shades. The food comes in large quantities with enough MSG to give a horse a headache. I cannot stress enough, however, how friendly and attentive the staff is, even if their clothing is better suited for a Sunday at Wal-Mart than an evening at work.
