Haven’t dined in yet but have ordered 2 dozen blue crabs straight from the Chesapeake bay and they were good, steamed perfectly, heavy and full of meat. I have also ordered fresh steamed shrimp cocktail which was also very good. Service is good and employees are informative about where there seafood comes from. definitely recommend

Really great seafood selection. An open market atmosphere. It’s all laid out, pick what you want. Friendly service. I loved everything I ate besides their MD crab soup. Their cod, shrimp, and scallops we’re extremely delicious. Only other negative was the little pre package sides of tartar sauce. Besides that, highly recommend!

Love the shrimp tacos. Jazz up the beans and rice with some hot sauce and you’re good to go. I’ve also had salmon. Everything is good and fresh here.

Clam chowder is delicious. Fried calamari is pretty good. Fries w/old bay are tasty. Raw oysters were just ok. Cooked shrimp were good. Clam strips are good. Fried scallops were not good. Hushpuppies are tasty. We’ve eaten here many times. Food is always good, not wow. It’s still the best seafood in Martinsburg. Wish the calamari had a bit more flavor & came with lemon. Never seen anywhere that doesn’t automatically serve lemon with fried calamari. Weird, frustrating hours. Previously closed on Tuesdays, now closed on Wednesdays.

We’re from out-of-town so we just needed to grab a bite for lunch. At first we weren’t sure whether we wanted seafood but after eating here, we were glad we did. The food was fresh quality seafood. Each meal we ordered was plentiful and delicious. Definitely plan to eat here every time we drive through Martinsburg.

I’ve known about this place for quite a while, but I finally made it in to check the place out last week. I’ve called them twice before to see if they could accomodate special orders, and they said they could get the items I asked about as long as I gave them notice(I called to see if they could get whole branzino or fresh sardines). Being able to get special orders gives them a big plus in my book. I have quite a few friends who have gone here and eaten in the place. From what they say, they portions are big and the food is quite good, but I only went to buy some fresh seafood to make at home. They have a good selection of seafood available. Shrimp of different types and sizes. They had some good looking scallops(no scallops sitting in a puddle of milky white liquid here like in the seafood depts of area grocery stores), but I opted for a pound of shrimp, a big cod filet, and a tuna steak. I knew the fish was fresh simply from the fact that the store itself had no offputting fishy smell. That’s one of the hallmarks of a good seafood shop — the smell should remind you of the sea, not of rotting fish. After steaming the shrimp with some old bay as an appetizer, we deep fried the cod for our entrée. The shrimp was good, but its kind of hard to comment on the flavor of the shrimp themselves as I tend to really douse them with old bay. The cod was delicious, and nice and flaky. The shocker to me was the tuna steak. I’ve had really good quality tuna before, but I have never had any that smelled like this. When i unwrapped the tuna steak and sniffed it, my brain couldn’t reconcile what my eyes were seeing with what my nose was smelling. I was seeing a tuna steak, but it smelled like watermelon! No fishy smell whatsoever, just a slight briny smell and the sweet smell of watermelon. i’ve noticed a vaguely sweet, fruity smell coming from the tuna I have gotten in good sushi restaurants before, but I’ve never had a tuna steak smell this good before! A little salt and pepper, a quick sear in the skillet, and a squeeze of lemon was all it took to make this one of the tastiest pieces of fish I’ve ever eaten. I’ll definitely be back to get more seafood from here again. It beats the quality of what the grocery stores around here sell by a mile, and their prices are not that different.

I was in Martinsburg visiting family from out of town and they said Just In Time was a must try. Nestled in a shopping center, you can’t miss the spot with it’s giant, well let SEAFOOD sign. Before I get to the food review, all I have to say is that Justin and his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Recognizing my brother, Justin stepped out of his way to say hi and welcome us. When we walked in, a family was destroying a bucket of MD blue crabs. I immediately knew I’d like this place. I travel throughout the United States frequently for work. When I’m this close to the Chesapeake, I make sure to grab seafood whenever I can. Let me tell you, Justin’s Just In Time rivals the best Wisconsin fish fry I’ve been to — and I’ve been to many. I tried a Combo — a ton of freshly fried seafood at an incredibly reasonable price. The fried scallops(stole one from my brother) were fried perfectly — not overcooked and very tender. I had the fried catfish, my brother the fried trout, and my father the fried cod. You can get most fish grilled as well as fried — it was a Saturday, so we went all in. My combo also came with fried shrimp. Throw those into some cocktail sauce spiced up with hot sauce… A solid meal. All of the fish was fresh and cooked well, but the highlight in my opinion were the freshly cut and fried french fries. These«boardwalk-style» fried were awesome. Great place to check out whether you live in town or are just passing through. You’ll definitely like the food and you’ll love the hospitality. Justin’s got Just In Time just right. Unilocal: please note the map is wrong. It shows the restaurant is in Shepherdstown. It is actually in Martinsburg.
