Well, sometimes the food is really good and other times you just walk away feelng mad. Not too consistent. Breakfast is probably the best meal there.

We just finished having luch with Gram… she is going through early dementia. We ordered a chicken salad and she wasn’t too sure about it. I reordered catfish and fries and the staff was willing to accommodate with removing the first order from the bill. Great hospitality and a friendly environment to enterain her. Thanks for mking this visit easy!

I love Cracker Barrel and this was the worst service I ever had. We were there for over an hour just for pancakes. The place was half empty and no one had any food on their tables. Soooooo slow. I heard another table say they had been waiting for a long time and not seen their waitress– then the manager promised to go get their waiter and then proceeded to laugh about it on her way into the kitchen. If Cracker Barrel corporate office reads these reviews they need to fix this location. My family loves this chain and I am sad to write such a poor review.

Way too much food for cheap. Prepared and served well. Probably the best Sweet Tea around.

The one thing that always draws me to Cracker Barrel is the little store that is inside of it. But I was brought here this evening by my dad who had a gift card and we were starving… So we decided to eat. It was around 6:30pm when we arrived and the place was exploding with people, which I thought was odd for a Thursday night. We were told by the hostess it would be a 15 – 20 min wait. OK, we can handle 15 – 20 mins. 30 mins passed when we were finally lead to a little wooden table that was missing a chair and had a sticky feel to the floor around it. I am usually not bothered by little things like that but tonight I was really keen on noticing the small details for whatever reason. Our waitress was friendly, but seemed distracted I would assume because she had a lot of tables. I ordered the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly to medium well, just as asked. My only complaint is that it didn’t have much seasoning or flavor, but it was still good. My sides were very tasty — surprising the broccoli was the highlight of my sides as it was steamed and seasoned to perfection. The biscuits and corn bread were also a nice little addition.

Hands down the worst cracker barrel we have been to. Upon arriving we were told the wait would be 20 – 25 minutes but we waited almost 40 minutes for a table. Our waitress was.um.really really bad. Maybe she had an off day? She forgot our items 4 times, we had to keep asking her for the items every time we saw her. which was very infrequently. Actually she came and checked on us when we were almost finished with our meal and after we asked the food runner for our food. Food was pretty bad. I asked them to cook the burger medium, it was so dry. look at the pictures it was suppose to be medium. The bread on my child’s burger was stale and her burger meat was also dry. We had been on the road for over 6 hours and were famished, but even then our hunger couldn’t disguise the bad food and terrible waitress. We were in a hurry to get back on the road so we scarfed down our food but our waitress was MIA and we wasted time having to flag her down for the check. We would not visit this Cracker Barrel again, we have eaten at plenty in NJ and PA and never had an experience like this. Super slow service, stale food. we timed it, from the time we put our name in for a table to the time we left it was 1 hour and 57 minutes. Almost 2 hours, that’s ridiculous.

Food was good, at least the food I received. I was not told that they were out of part of my order until I received it and reminded the waitress that she didn’t bring all of my order. Before the food came out I had to ask another server to grab out waitress just to get refills that we’d been waiting for for 10 minutes. The Manger came by and gave me nothing but an empty apology for their screw ups and suggested it is because they are super busy and the holiday season, more than half the resteraunt was empty. I’d suggest driving the few extra miles to the Hagerstown location if you’re interested in cracker barrel as they have way better customer service.

It’s easy to see why this place is so busy. Great quality food at a great price. We were shocked when we received our bill, at how inexpensive it was. If you’re looking for a good quality breakfast stop in.

Love this place! Service is almost always great! There’s usually a wait on Sat and Sun, but you can always shop/browse in the store! Love the food and haven’t had a bad thing yet! One time our service wasn’t up to par, so they sent a manager out and gave us our drinks free for our«hard time» we had! Very friendly people, organized«waiting» system and a clean restaurant!

What can i say its Cracker Barrel. The food is good if bland and it is reasonably priced. The service is usually pretty good as well. The last time I went there were a few miss steps but nothing meal ruining. My parents love the place.

Always love this place. Haven’t been to a bad one yet. This is a great spot to stop especially if you have an RV like we do. They have special parking. We had the chicken and dumplings and the meatloaf both were excellent. Carrots and corn were very good! Can’t count the calories here!

came here for bk one day and lunch another day. had good service both days. there is a game on almost every table to play. we got the peg game both times. food came out fast and service was good. I had the any meat buiscuit so I got ham. you get three small buiscuits with country ham. the biscuits are really light and fluffy. the hash brown caserole is different and has cheese in it. wifey got the biscuits and gravy. I had a taste of the gravy. it did have a lot of sausage flavor, but I thought it was a little salty. wifey loved the biscuits. Mom had the yogurt parfait with the muffin. the muffin was huge. she ended up taking that home. for lunch I got the chic fried steak. you get 3 sides. our waitress recommended the fried apples. wifey got the chic and dumplings. she really loved them. the carrots were so-so. we all liked the fried apples. i forget what mom got. i’ll have to edit this later. the coleslaw was also good, not too sweet and not too drenched in dressing. the potatoes were nothing to write home about. they also have a nice kitchy boutique area. I got some WV hats, my wifey got a very nice skirt. it can be a bit pricey, but they also had some things on sale. there are also giant checker games, two outside, at least one inside and you can sit at them and play checkers, no one seems to steal the pieces, or if they do, I suppose they just replace them.

We had a very good luncheon here today. Wife had the reuben sandwich, with side salad and cole slaw. She enjoyed it enormously. It had quite a bit of corned beef, and was tastey(I had two bites). I asked about the beef brisket. On a special they had an open sandwich on garlic toast. I asked if they had a «platter» and they said, yes, it was«off menu» but they could fix it with two sides, so I ordered brisket, side salad, and cabbage. They brought the sandwich with cole slaw(not my waitress, another server). I said that I ordered the platter and not the sandwich, and the server insisted it wasn’t on the menu and that is what was available because everything was portioned out, yadda yadda. Then the regularly assigned waitress came by and realizing what was going on, offered to take it up to the manager. I commented that whenever I have asked for a modification, the restaurant can make it happen. She said she’d do what she could. The manager came over and apologized and said, yes they can fix a platter and it was brought out soon thereafter. The waitress also apologized for any mixup. I was OK with all of that, but a bit surprized that the first server(delivery person) made such a big deal out of it. In any event, we had a good experience overall and would return. I also gave the regular waitress a decent tip for her efforts and kindness in making the situation right when really what’s the big deal!

I frequent Martinsburg for business and so when I’m in town chain restaurants seem to rule. This is the one of the few chains I don’t completely cringe about. Good breakfast, service with a smile, and I can play games while I wait for my food solo. I always enjoy exploring the country store for throwback candy and games.
