Eggs were cold and maybe half way cooked at best. How hard is it to make scrambled eggs? Waitress was pleasant and attentive to needs.

Worst service ever food took a very long time to come out, then it was cold. The coffee was cold and I was finished with my cold eggs before my server got around to bringing me my water to drink. If it was busy I could understand but there are only 10 other people in here right now. Then the server makes it a point to tell me «hey it’s not my fault your food took so long» just say sorry don’t blame people in the kitchen.

I went with two other people early last Sunday morning. The place was half empty. It took a long time to get our food, and when we did, none of us got all of what we ordered. One order, the waitress seemed to suggest, had not even been put in. That guy never did get everything he was supposed to eat. The two of us started eating and sharing food with our third friend. The service was an unmitigated disaster. I can cook better than BE — not a fast league. You go to breakfast to be waited on and have a relaxing meal. It is far less relaxing when the service is incompetent. When the bill came, none of it was correct, either, in too many ways to describe. But it probably reflected the food that finally arrived, so at that point, we just called it a wrap. If you go, expect delays, and confusion, and you likely won’t be disappointed.

Upon arriving at Bob Evans yesterday, the cashier was serving as host and table busser. She asked the people ahead of us to wait until she finished clearing a table and she took our name as well. When the host/manager arrived, we had spied seats at the counter and chose to sit there, as it is usually quicker service. It took about 10 minutes for any, one to notice we were there and were ultimately greeted by a young waitress who announced she was going off duty, but she did take our drink order and ultimately our food order as well. Meanwhile, one cranky waitress was doing nothing but complaining. The young waitress additionally wiped down the dirty counter. My salad was very tasty, but 3 people were unable to find the salad dressing packets. My friend’s eggs, ordered«over easy» were hard– not good for a place known for good breakfasts. The coffee, while better than it used to be, was not close to be as good as McDonalds, which is right across the highway. This was probably our last visit to the local Bob Evans!

If I could give it negative stars I would. From the servers arguing over who was gonna serve us, then, getting oyr order completely wrong to finding a hair in our food. Never gonna eat at another Bob evans again. On a good note, the young female server was caught in the middle of a server who got the order wrong, and the kitchen who let hair get into the food. I felt really bad for her.

Long wait to be sat when there were available tables. Food sitting in the window for 10 mind, then taken out cold and the customer has to leave.(Hungry I’m sure). The menu has changed and less choices for more money. The place needs much improved.

The server was great, but food was waaaaay too greasy, pancakes were too hard. GOD! I think they add all the oil left in the pan on the food!

Food was good but service was terrible. Everyone was friendly but I had to ask for silverware, jelly for toast, and the coffee wasn’t hot. This hasn’t been my experience in the past but I wasn’t very pleased this go around.

As a Martinsburg resident, we come here about once a month and usually for breakfast. We have always been seated quickly and the serving staff has always been friendly and professional. The food is always hot and fresh and the wait, no matter how busy they are, never seems to be very long. Last night my husband and I, along with our two adult children stopped in for a later dinner. Three of us tried the newer«3 course dinners» and my husband opted for breakfast. We were all pleased with our choices(one turkey and two chicken fried steaks). The server was a peach. It had to be near the end of her shift yet she remained cheerful, helpful and checked back with us at just the right intervals.

Good food, good service and conveniently the closest sit down chain restaurant to the VA Medical Center. We needed a meal before my dad’s next doctor’s appt and we wanted a place that offered full service meals at 10:30am. Thanks to Unilocal,we found Bob Evans! They seated us immediately! Our server was Dave and he was friendly, quick to take our orders. I love a place that offers me breakfast all day as well as a nice burger at 10:30am! We ordered a plethora of dishes from Sausage Biscuit and gravy to full sized burgers. One of us ordered their chicken fried steak while another ordered a nice bacon and egg breakfast. The choice of bread options included their famous pumpkin bread. Food arrived in a timely manner and thankfully, it was all hot and fresh. I didn’t really care for the biscuits in my dish because it lacked in soft and fluffy category. The sausage and gravy was quite yummy. My home fries were SOSALTY that I think they emptied out their salt shaker. Their chicken fried steak was SO yummy! Seriously not sure why this dish is called ‘chicken’ fried steak when there is no evidence of chicken. We all snagged a taste of it, and as expected, it was SO good. My dad got his usual burger and fries. This was gigantic in his eyes and he enjoyed a nice freshly fried platter of fries. Service was awesome because Dave was running around to make sure all of his tables were ‘good’.

We go to Bob Evans restaurants all over the United States because they are a well known, established and respected chain that makes American food favorites. I love their waffles and sausage, and my parents know they can get their eggs prepared just the way they like. This is and should be true at all locations, no matter where someone travels in the US. Well, after having our breakfast at the Foxcroft location in Martinsburg, WV, we were not very happy or pleased with the food. First, the meal took unusslly long to come out,. I ordered the waffle & it was great, golden and hot, but the sausage was under cooked, that bacon was super hard(not crisp) as if it was over cooked in the microwave, and given to us on a plate full of grease parents were unhappy with the eggs, but our biggest issue was the long time it took to get breakfast, which should be the quicker meal. We didn’t finish our meals, because we were disappointed and less than enthused about this meals overall.

The food was good; the service was not. This restaurant happened to be right outside our hotel, so we stopped in for dinner. It took forever to get the waitress’ attention and then even longer to get food. I ordered a side of bacon, which was under-cooked and nearly raw. Once I got the waitress’ attention, she took the plate and did not return with the re-fired bacon until she presented the check! If it were not for the convenience in a strange town, we would not recommend this place to travelers.

I put 1 star because I couldn’t put a lower score. The Bob Evans franchise is fantastic. But the Martinsburg restaurant has some of the worst service I’ve ever had… I truly hope they improve. I don’t want them to fail. It’s just going to be a while before I return.

I travel a lot on a motorcycle and will often get breakfast at Bob Evans. Great variety, great coffee too. I don’t eat meat, but my buddies love their sausage and gravy. I love their grits! Service can be a little slow because they can get crowded. . Recommended!

Bob Evans is a great restaurant go stop at if you are traveling North to South or South to North. With locations in PA, West Virginia, Virginia and the Carolina’s among others, you will have exposure across a wide area. Similar to a Denny’s…perhaps slightly more upscale(hey we love Denny’s too), this particular restaurant is convenient off exit 12 of I 81, has a friendly staff, and has healthy options. I am from NY and I’m the Duke here :-). If you need a quick stop for food give this place a try!

Worst service I’ve ever had! The last two times I went there have been unlike any other service I’ve had anywhere. One time was when they had the meal with dessert special, which my husband and I both got. We were brought our food, then the check about a minute later. We waited for about 20 minutes after we finished eating to order our dessert, but after bringing the check, we never saw a single waiter. The last time I went, we waited at our table for 15 minutes after being seated before our waitress ever realized we were waiting there. That time, at least, the waitress was very apologetic and made up for it with a discount and free dessert. Nevertheless, it’s not worth waiting around all day.

Hi, I have been going to Bob Evans and there is not a thing wrong about it. I am actually a nit picking type of person and I Love Bob Evans in Martinsburg, WV. It’s a very clean place with the best of family comforts. I mostly go there on Sundays and my special favorite serving is meat loaf with green beans mash potatoes /gravy. I can even say that I have my favorite waitress everytime. Oh… almost forgot, try their raspberry tea, very delicious. yummy

Stay as far away from here as you can if they are busy. Food is undercooked and inedible and after complaining and placing a new order, we waited 45 minutes more for it to get to our table. By that time everyone else in our party had long finished and was ready to go. This has happened more then one time. One Sunday morning they forgot to submit our order completely! No one came to our table to apologize, no food comp’d, nothing! Indeed when we finally complained, they gave us such an attitude we left. Save yourself the trouble and just go up the road to Cracker Barrel if you want breakfast or head to IHop in Charles Town.

Favorite of a friend… been here and Winchester, VA locations recently. Very good food and good service. Clean restaurant. Wife had panko fried shrimp with french fries. Liked them both. The french fries were real cut potatoes, not frozen like other places. House salad was also good. I had the grilled chicken breast. Lightly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Nice and tender. Two chicken breasts on this meal, so I took one home. One of the better, more consistent, family chain restaurants, and I’m generally not a fan of chains.
