Came here as a group of 6. This was our last stop for the Shawangunk Christmas Wreath Winery Trail. 1. The staff(possibly owner) yelled at us to close the entrance door as we were still walking in, yet there were 3 other people coming in behind us. She said«close the door on them» because of the draft. 2. Although 5 of us had purchased the wine tasting option, only 3 people in our group did the wine tasting at Glorie. We ended up buying multiple wines(Rumple Pumpkin, Candy Ass Reds and some sweet Carolines). On the way out, I poured myself a hot chocolate and the owner(same lady that told us to close the door on the way in) rudely said the hot chocolate is only for the designated driver and she would have to charge us $ 1 for the hot chocolate. Mind you we had bought wines which she could clearly see we were holding. Also this wasn’t any special hot chocolate — just hot water and a chocolate Swiss hot cocoa pack. On top of that we didn’t all do the wine tasting, so that should have entitled our group to at least 3 hot chocolates if she wanted to get that technical. Plus our designated driver was entitled to a free hot chocolate. Rude! No customer service at all. Way to end a wine trail experience Glorie. Never coming back.

Loved the names of the wines, the art work and the selections. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up buying a bottle of cider(yes I know, not wine) but it was so good. We were the only customers there so I think we got a little extra TLC. I would definitely go back!

This winery came highly recommended and I see why!!! the wine is absolutely amazing. Blackjack and the pumpkin wine were my favorites. Staff is super friendly and the grounds are clean. Nice view as well!!!

This winery is perched up on a hill that allows you a nice view. It’s not the most amazing view in the world, but I bet you’ll take your camera out and snap a few shots. The tasting room is really beautiful and the wines are quite good as well. This winery is one of our staples for purchasing wine when we visit New York.

This was our first stop on day two of Hudson Valley wine trailing. After driving up the very steep hill and parking precariously, we entered the tasting room. We were greeted by a nice gentleman who explained the tasting process there and got us set up. We tried many different wines with a variety of sweetness levels and even got to try some maple syrup which we ended up purchasing. This is the best winery in Marlboro, NY.

They have a nice, large farm property with a petite tasting room barn. There is some outdoor seating provided if you want to sip outside/picnic. The wines I had in the tasting($ 5 for 5 pours, keep the glass) were just okay; I left with just the keepsake glass. The best thing I tried was their cider. They also have Tuthilltown’s lineup of spirits if you prefer something else.

Great place! Beautiful views and good wines(not connoseur good, but regular ol people good — the Candy Ass is «adult welch’s grape juice» for sure). They were slow in business and we had fabulous service. We bought a bottle, sat our under this gorgeous little tree on their rusty old chairs and watched the day go by as we sipped wine and laughed our asses off. It was perfect. So incredibly romantic.

Another beautiful winery that just didn’t have anything to suit my taste buds. We tried the dry tasting and none of them really we what we wanted. We did do an additional tasting of their cab franc which was worth it, but nothing special. I did love the venue and the layout of their tasting they clearly take pride in what they do.

Very nice place for tourists. Has a great view of the mountains. Service was excellent at the sample bar. For 5 bux you get a wine glass and a sample of 5 wines of your choice. There are several wineries that I would bring out of town guests. Glorie would be on that list. Not on the top of the list. but it would be on the list.

Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good selection of wine, and just $ 5 for a tasting of 6 wines. We bought 2 bottles if the Rumple Pumpkin and then enjoyed a bottle of the Red Monkey while sitting on the lawn overlooking the Hudson Valley. Beautiful view.

Great experience, delicious wines, picturesque view, and such friendly and enjoyable people! Rumple Pumpkin & Candy Ass, and their Black Currant… all sweet, but all diverse and unique flavors that this winery offers amongst several others. If you’re in the area, stop by — if you’re not, make a trip, its well worth it.

So friendly and in a beautiful location! We only stopped by to make a purchase, but we were greeted with wonderful hospitality. The wine we purchased(red monkey, rumple pumpkin) were both a bit too sweet/fruity for our taste, but we’ll be back to seek out something drier.

Thank goodness for the wine trail signs and my GPS, because this is a bit more of a challenging winery to find. It’s a small, nice winery, and I hope it has some options to grow in the future. The shop, tasting area, and outdoor seating area are somewhat small, and I’m not sure where the bathroom might be. The website also shows pictures of 2 adorable chocolate labs, who unfortunately were not around today. I really enjoyed the wine tasting($ 5 for 5 was reasonable) and chatting with the gentleman giving us the tastings. Their Riesling is probably my favorite of that type among all the Hudson Valley Wineries, and that alone would be enough reason for me to return on a regular basis — definitely consider the fall, because the view to the east is beautiful, and because by then their Rumple Pumpkin will again be in stock.

I visited this winery on day of a Schwangunk Wine Trail event, Around the World in 14 Wineries. This was a very nice place with very nice wine and very nice people! In terms of the facility itself, there are beautiful views. It seems a little small, so I’m not sure what it would be like to host a large event there(if they even offer that), but it was lovely visiting there! They did a great job fulfilling the theme of the event; their country was Germany. Good food, good decorations, good favors(maps, etc.). I really enjoyed their Seyval Blanc. I tried their dry flight option, but I am also interested in their sweet wines.

Lovely view. But this is a pretty downmarket tasting room. They are selling old mason jars and some kind of metal contraption for cooking a whole chicken. A bit like a small Cracker Barrel. The nice lady doing the wine tasting mentioned that the winemaker had added sugar to some particular wine he was working on, which is maybe why some of the wines are called things like«Candy Ass.» You can’t complain about $ 5 for a tasting, but there are better places to go, unless maybe you want to buy a bottle and bring your own picnic and sit outside.

This place is situated high up, so you can get a nice view when the weather is nice. The lady that helped with our tasting was friendly. She gave us advice on the notes of the wines and which were their best sellers. I like how they classify their wines by dry/sweet for their reds and whites. Candy Ass red tastes like crack. It tastes like fruit juice, so im sure girls love it. I prefer their dry reds: such as Red Monkey and their Cabernet Franc Their seasonal Rumple Pumpkin is also yummy but sweet as well. Def willing to come back here to try more of their dry reds and also look at the view when the vineyards have grapes growing on the vines. FYI — they don’t allow dogs to roam around the tasting room, so you’ll have to hold on to your dog or leave him/her outside.

An unassuming, winery with an incredible selection of wines(esp. white)…off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. owner was very friendly and helpful, even stayed open, though we were the last patrons of the day. not sure which is better the vino. or the views!
