Pizzarito is my favorite! There are a lot of pizza places in LA and Marina del Rey but this one… it’s the best. The pizza just taste super fresh and the thin crust is my favorite. Not to mention, they have amazing customer service and delivery. We order at the office at least once a month. And our resident VEGANS love the no-cheese pizza! Thanks Pizzarito for making things so easy!!!

This has been my favorite pizza place for over the last 25 years. grew up by here and glad to see it’s still going strong. I miss having the other two locations on 3rd Street as well.

I gotta start the review by disclosing that I have lived in NYC for 16 years. I’ve been to my fair share of NY pizza places. Lombardos, Rays, Famiglias, amongst many others. I know what NYC pizza tastes like and there’s nothing else like it. I found this place from a co-worker. After a 14 hour work day, we were craving some good Pizza. He’s from New Jersey. I’m from Brooklyn. Pizzarito has authentic NY style pizza. You walk in and are greeted with Frank Sinatra playing over the speakers. You have a NYC subway map on the wall along with paintings of Times Square. Made me a bit home sick. On this visit, I ordered a large pepperoni. The pizza come fresh and hot out of the oven. It’s thin NY style that you fold. Yes, that’s right. You fold it to eat. The slices are large and you need to fold it. Chicago deep dish people will not like this place. For all of you other pizza lovers; this will be the best pizza outside of NYC. The bottom of the slice has a nice crust to it and bite. There’s the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. And about the cheese, it’s nice and melted perfectly. Not where all of the cheese comes sliding off of the slice and you’re left with bread and sauce. This cheese is melted perfectly where it stretches out and is gooey. I wondered how they managed to get it right. Wanna know how? The owner is from Bensenhurst Brooklyn. He knows pizza. You want great pizza? Come visit Pizzarito.

Every so often I ride my bike with a few friends along the LA bay, and every time we come here for pizza. Being Italian myself, I’d have to say this is truly some of the best pizza I’ve had. Great quality, awesome taste, friendly staff, and a big sense of comeaderie.

That’s Amore! Been coming to this place for years. Absolutely love the food! Authentic NY style pizza. Not to mention amazing Calzones, Lasagna, salad etc. The Sicilian pizza is my fave! If you’re thinking about going elsewhere for great Italian food– FUGETABOUTIT!

BESTPIZZAINLOSANGELES! My wife, Rebecca, and I first discovered this pizza place when we lived in near-by Playa del Rey. We now live across town in Brentwood but we gladly make the drive to Marina del Rey(over 10 miles) anytime we crave a slice because this is the best pizza in LA! It is practically addicting! Nice, mid-size, cozy, informal brightly lit eating area, New York Style; Italian-ish pop music playing low(think — Sinatra, ‘That’s Amori’ etc), clean restrooms available, attentive, friendly, polite staff. The owners, a husband and wife, are often present, and they’re fantastic. They’ve been open for 32 years, which says something about the quality. In addition to pizza, they also offer sodas(naturally) as well as beer, wine, salads, lasagna, garlic knots(mmmm…) and a few other things. But the thing we love most is the way the pizza tastes — for my palette, it is the perfect slice of pizza. Crust is on the soft side, very chewy, the cheese is fresh and rich, and the sauce! — the sauce is sublime. Rich, tomatoey and kind of sweet with a hint of spiciness. DELICIOUS! Perfectly balanced elements. What’s also great is that you can order a whole pizza, or order by the slice — which is what we always do. It’s located in one of those smaller groups of shops that are set back a bit in a larger shopping area, so parking is always available. Never an issue. Most days we park right there in the set-back area near the shop. Also, there is a yogurt shop two doors down, which is convenient for a desert after a pizza lunch or dinner. I believe the hours are 11:00 am to 10:00 or 10:30 pm. When you order by the slice, there’s no wait — pizzas are always available . As a pizza lover, we would have been lost without this place. We’ve tried a dozen others, and nothing comes close. Extremely highly recommended. Give it a try — you won’t be disappointed! Thanks, Pizzarito — we always leave your place happy and satisfied.

Pizzarito is by far the best pizza in the MdR area. Not only is the pizza delicious, but the service is spot on. Working in the area, I love that I can stop in for a quick slice on my lunch break. I have also ordered multiple Pizzas for team parties and the delivery orders are always on time and super yummy and hot. Make sure to try their garlic knots and RANCHDRESSING!

Hot and crispy pizza. Loved the pepperoni and rootbeer. Cash only so expect $ 2.50ATM charge if you don’t carry cash. I only carry hundreds so had to get twenties to pay tab.

This pizza never disappoints, always fresh ingredients, and amount of cheese is perfect. I’m a bit of a pizza snob and feel fortunate to have a great go to on the Westside.

Been coming here since I was 4 years old with my pre kindergarten friends. Of course I miss the old location, where they make their pizzas in an actual brick oven and it felt like you’re going to an old pizzeria in Tuscany. It was so cozy and inviting. Now, it has moved into a cul de sac in a newly renovated shopping center where it feels like you stepped into a brightly lit pizza shop in New York City. The pizzas here are good. I mean it’s not the same how they used to make it back in the late 80’s but the quality is there. They sell pizza by the slice or a whole one. My favorite pizza here is their hawaiian and their sausage. I’ll get a pepperoni slice here once in a while when I don’t feel like fighting through Costco’s parking demons for a slice of theirs. I love their crispy thin crust pizzas, the reason why I come here. It brings me nostalgia of the times I used to come here as a kid. Pizzarito is a great place for anyone who loves and misses a great New York pizza by slice!

Just ordered for a staff meeting and man, talk about customer service! Cathy who took my order was lovely and helped me put together an order of lasagna and salad for my team with little notice. Super courteous! The food was enjoyed by everyone. I love the options here! The Italian salad dressing is quite delicious and unlike anything I’ve had anywhere else. It’s less vinegar and more peppery in my opinion but it’s DELCIOUS! My ONLY complaint was I had asked for garlic knots instead of garlic bread, which were super tasty, but there wasn’t enough for everyone. But everything else was s fantastic I couldn’t doc points. hanks again! I can’t wait to try the Sicilian pizza and cookies! All the people who are giving negative reviews are basing it off super nit pick issues or their own fault for not double checking the order. Such a shame, this place deserves more love so give it to them!

Yes, they only accept cash. No big deal unless you’re a new customer. The pizza is awesome here! Big slices, price is right, and taste delicious! Won’t hesitate to continue giving this spot my business. Puts Pizza Hut and dominoes to shame! Oh… And they serve alcohol which is a bonus!

I’m so disappointed in my experience tonight. I ordered a pepperoni pizza half with no cheese. When I picked it up I was in such a hurry that I did not open the box to double check. When I got home to my salivating family I realized it was covered with cheese; my husband and daughter can’t eat cheese. I called Eva, the manager, to tell her and request the new pizza be delivered as quickly as possible. I live in the area and have been a customer for over 8 years, but tonight I realized this business has taken a turn for the worst. She rudely said that I ordered my pizza wrong and that we had to wait again. It took another 75 minutes for the new pizza to arrive so we turned it away as it’s now almost 9pm.(We were supposed to be eating around 7).We asked for a refund and she said it wasn’t possible since we were to blame. We order this pizza every time for the past 10 years we’ve been together. I’m pretty positive I ordered it exactly the way I intended. Regardless, to tell the customer that they were wrong and therefore need to be punished is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced at any shopping experience in my life. Insane. We still want our refund but will not continue our business here as the service — and this representative — are not worthy of our business. Or yours.

Was working out in Marina Del Rey and a friend(Jeff T.) who works nearby recommended this spot, which is down the street from both of our jobs so «pizza-by-the-Slice» was enough to bring me in. ========= LOCATION ========= It’s in the heart of Marina Del Rey, down the street from the Pacific Ocean /Marina. It’s nestled in a large outdoor shopping center. There’s a few small tables inside but a nice outdoor area in the foyer that borders a sushi place. ========= THEFOOD ========= ~ PINWHEEL — It’s an appetizer sized dough crusted, sausage infused delectable little piece of deliciousness. Had it with some marinara and ranch.(4⁄5) ~ SPINACH&GARLICRICOTTAPIZZA — They have about 10+ options for hot and ready slices when I got there(lunch time) and this looked the most appealing. Didn’t disappoint.(3⁄5) ================== OVERALLTHOUGHTS ================== An interesting little place. Staff was nice and helpful. Wasn’t sure what to get and they were very informative and helpful in steering me into something I would like, which I did. I wouldn’t make the drive all they way out there for just this place, but if I was in the neighborhood, I’d definitely drop by.

When I used to work at the UA Cinema in Marina del Rey, Pizzarito used to be my favorite dinner. It was gone for a couple years when The Pavillions took their space. Now they are located next door in a mini strip mall that includes sushi, Radio Shack, waxing, nail salon and a jeweler. The pizza quality is still really good. Good balance of sauce and cheese. You can get it by the slice or a whole pizza pie. Garlic knots, salads, and calzones are also available. They do also serve alcohol(beer & wine) if you like to match with your pizza. My favorite is the Sicilian slices. Nice thick square slices of pizza. Delicious. If your lucky you will get the middle slice(5th out of the 9 slices.) I try to stop by when I’m in the area. I really crave this pizza when I’m in the area. I’m adding a star because I was just offered my selection of slices from the Sicilian pizza by Cathy. I could’ve been greedy and took the middle but I went with a corner that had a little more of that wonderful pizza sauce showing.

We stopped by here while in the Pavilions shopping center for a quick slice of pizza. In the world of pizza, I would say this was just an average piece of pizza. It seems like this place could become a «kids favorite» for school aged kids that only eat cheese pizza but Pizzarito certainly is no DeSano Bakery in West Hollywood. Slices with toppings work out to be about $ 4 each. Call me cheap, but it seems like that is maybe 1 dollar too expensive for an average slice of pizza. In their defense, it is in a busy shopping center where their rent is probably over the top. Convenience and hunger calls.

Short and sweet. Pizza was good, hot, and fresh. But it’s pretty pricy for what your getting, also cash only.
