This used to be my favorite place to eat! The manager was always super nice and the food was spectacular. I am not sure if the manager left, if the restaurant was a franchise and got bought out, but the manager is no longer at this location and the staff is completely brand new. With the new staff all came a wide array of awful food and service. I initially made an order over the phone and went to pick it up. Everything seemed fine when I picked up the order. Food looked good, price was correct, etc., but when I got home the food had been cooked in a burnt skillet and the food tasted like it had been to hell and back. It was so burnt tasting it was ridiculous. The restaurant did comp my meal and I decided to give them a second shot. My partner and I had a coupon that gave us 5 dollars off an online order, but the promo code did not work. I called the location and explained the coupon was not working and was wondering if I could make the order over the phone and they honor the coupon. The young lady explained once we get there she will adjust the order and take off the 5 dollars and that they were not able to do it over the phone. Of course when we picked up the food and talked to the manager he explained he couldn’t discount the food and we should have ordered it over the phone with them and they would have been able to take the 5 dollars off the total. AREYOUKIDDINGME! Not only did they not honor the coupon but he also had a large stick up his ass that made his personality awful. And to top it all off the food wasn’t even that great! I love tin drum but stay far away from this one unless management changes again or its a franchise and it gets a new owner. Been to the tin drum near perimeter mall and its wonderful! I used to eat there it least twice a week when my job was near that location! The one off of barett pwky is no where near the same! stay away!

Came here at 230 on a Saturday and service was fast and friendly. Place was very, very clean. I got Mango Chicken. A big bowl of rice, green pepper, onion, jalapeño, mango pieces, and giant chunks of crispy fried chicken. The sauce is the yums, a brown sauce with the sweetness of mango and just a little spice. Prices are very good, food was fast. Catering is available. They have a variety of dishes and usually some kind of special featured dish. Try basil fried rice, sweet and sour Chicken, and the Thai iced tea.

Food: Definitely fast casual concept. Not the best Asian/fusion place out there but definitely a great place to go in a pinch. Fiancé(Almost Wife) is in love with tin drum so we frequent the franchises. We got the crab and cheese roll for an app– really AMAZING for $ 2. She got her go to: basil fried rice WITH jalapeños and chicken. I’ve read a lot of the reviews for tin drum talking about how bland it is– this dish has a fair amount of kick. Tiny proportions comparatively. I’ll give the food(qualified with it being fast food) a 3. Service: it’s a counter order place, so not a ton to say. The guy behind the counter was obviously new and hadn’t tried anything I asked about, but he was nice and helpful despite obviously doing his closing work. No wow factor and quite frustrating actually, they only have packets of soy sauce no bottles. On top of that, they have no low sodium option. Two stars. Ambiance: this place looked like it was unfinished. It actually looked kind of unsanitary. It just implied cheap ownership. Much too small of a space. 2 stars. Kind of disappointing compared to the franchise.

Gross. Food was so bland and the portions were incredibly small. My friend and I had the sesame chicken with broccoli and lo mein noodles. The chicken had a very weird texture and the noodles were so greasy. Hopefully this place improves but I will not be returning.

I keep meaning to write a review for this place. I think the food was awful. When I asked which options were gluten-free, the person looked at me as I’d asked a silly question and responded, «I’m not sure.» My food was not tasty, at all. So much so that I don’t even remember what I had.

Went here for lunch and was very disappointed in the food. The basil rolls didn’t look fresh and were hard once bitten into. The rice of both my dish and my companions dish was undercooked and within an hour we both were feeling sick from the food we just ate. Won’t be going back.

Wish I could rate them in food alone. that would be 5 stars. However… my food came out about ten minutes after my boyfriends did. The portions were tiny. you get a ton of rice and very little meat/vegetables. Loved the taste though… just needs bigger portions for the price.

We love Tin Drum. However, this one could use some work. We’ve been a few times and the service is always pretty slow. Employees kind of stand around, just watching people. The taste is not nearly as good as all the other Tim Drums we’ve been to. Our child’s dinner from last night was so salty, it was unbearable. The portion sizes also seem to have been reduced and that’s not cool! Please help make this location as good as all the others!

Honestly this place is going downhill. We used to go to the Tin Drum that used to be in Sandy Springs and LOVED it there. The serving sizes were always plentiful and the staff was nice, friendly and welcoming. We were excited to see the one in Kennesaw open up about a year ago. Unfortunately it seems like they are cutting costs by serving VERY small portion sizes and hiring staff that are less than friendly. I got an entrée that was literally half a bowl(rice AND entrée together was half a bowl). I’ve been on a diet for the past 5 months so I have been eating small portions and even given that, I was STILL hungry after my meal. I really think they need to rethink their operating model if they want to stay open for much longer.

Was very disappointed with my most recent experience here. First off, when you walk in, no one greets you. After we sat ourselves down and looked over the menu for a while, someone finally came over and mentioned a special — $ 4 for a single banh mi sandwich if you order an entrée(typically $ 5.95). Still seemed overpriced, but I was willing to give it a try. So we placed our order, and kids eat free on weekends. However, I was charged for the kids meal until I brought it to his attention, which is when he pretended to forget. Then he gave us 3 water cups, and I had to remind him that kids meals comes with a drink. He said he just remembered, but then he had to walk over to the manager and confirm again whether kids meals on weekends come with a drink. Seriously?! When I went to get the water and fountain drink for my kid, I noticed they were watching to make sure I got water with my water cups… Seriously?! When we got our entrees, we noticed that the portions were half sized portions. My wife complained afterwards that she was still hungry… and this was after we had just come from a birthday party where we had a slice of pizza already. Seriously again?! What is going on with this place? They used to be a decent restaurant, but now it seems like they are severely cutting back on costs. Meanwhile, the store manager was sitting on the side next to the fountain machine working on the store budget on his laptop spreadsheet. Is there not an office where he can be working on this? It’s one thing if he likes to sit with the customers and greet them. But he didn’t greet a soul, and was essentially taking up a table. Hope they get their act together soon, or I doubt I’ll be seeing them for much longer.

Service was quick and friendly. The food was good texture wise, but very bland. I tend to use little to no salt on food I cook, so most takeout tastes very salty. This was bland. I ordered the chicken lo mein and the chicken was dry and flavorless. I never waste lo mein… except today. I couldnt finish it.

I have eaten here twice. I had the Pad Woon Sen Noodles. The first time I had sautéed chicken. The second time I had shrimp. Both were delicious! Add some sriracha hot sauce. I also tried the basil roll and the spring roll. These both were tasty and the included sauces were very good also. I will be back.

I really like this place! Not the usual greasy American version of Chinese cuisine. Don’t get me wrong, it still is… But definitely a lot of different options but very limited menu. I consistently order the pad thai because my first time eating it was from here and I’m obsessed. For 8 $ bucks I’ve got my meal for the rest of the day… That’s how large the servings are and I eat like a horse. I recommend… Try it if you are near by! They are very good. Food is fresh, made to order and I don’t feel guilty afterwards… Especially if they’ve got the specials going on, those are a steal!(And a sure way to get you hooked)

Just a quick review. This is the second time I visited this place and it is perfect for my lunch time from work, I only get an hour so I don’t have many choices for lunch and I did not want any fast food that’s for sure lol. I was craving some Asian food so I decided to get the Teriyaki Stir-Fry with chicken and shrimp and it was delicious. Because of time and the fact that it was on the go I couldn’t take any pics but it was so good. I love the fact that you can order how spicy you want it or if you want all veggies or if you would prefer brown rice instead of the white rice, they have quite a few choices for you and they all look quite enticing. Service was very cordial and quick and I feel it’s a good price range also. I believe it’s quite good if you are on the go specially, i would recommend it for sure.

I have been to a few of the other locations, but have only ordered the basil fried rice. This place makes it just as well as the others. Their fresh brewed teas are amazing. Today, I had the ginger peach. I just wish their to go cups were bigger.

Peach ginger tea is good, not too sweet! I tried the mango chicken with brown rice, and the chicken was very tender. The portion is reasonable for the price but it’s not a lot of food like the other Chinese take outs.

Continued consistent quality. Excellent chef, management that cares. This is the spot fir korean bbq bowls, kimchee, mango stir fry bowls(chicken). Try it before it becomes too crowded to get in!

This had to have been one of the absolute worst meals I’ve ever had. What a complete waste of money. I only chose here because they sent a neighborhood coupon in that envelope of ads that most people never open that appears in your mailbox. I wanted to try something different. I thought this was a swanky, Asian restaurant. I didn’t know it was stir-fry– hibachi-noodle-esque. I went close to closing, so I guess someone tried to be funny. I like my food super spicy and super hot. However, this stuff was SOOO ridiculously hot that it was inedible. Not even with ice cold water. Oh yeah. The chicken was very dry, tasteless, white meat. Nice girls at the front, though. No more. Ever. Thanks.

Cute little place!!! My son, my niece and I stopped by this place after I purchased a Groupon for $ 16 to get $ 32(not bad huh???). I would first like to acknowledge the staff, the manager was really polite, we passed by the menus when we first walked in, the manager directed us back to grab a menu and was very informative about the entrees, after looking over the menu, and making our selections we made it to the register where Sarah was. Sarah was so helpful and very nice. she help me manuver my way thru the menu without any problems. My son order the Lo Mien(chicken), My Niece order the sesame chicken and I order the Kung Pao chicken. My niece and my son was extremely satisfied with the food, and my food was pretty good as well when i first begin eating, but as I made my way to the bottom of the dish, I notice that to much sauce was hanging out at the bottom of my bowl and I was not a happy camper about that, I couldn’t even finish it. We also order a Lobster & Cheese roll & an order of potsickers that came in 3’s(I didn’t want to share which let know that greedy people should not dine together-lol) … the lobster and cheese rolls were a little greasy, but good. The potstickers were delicious, I don’t know exactly what they stuff into them but they are yummy. All & all the visit was ok and I do believe I will check them out again sometimes in the near future.

So when I saw there was a new Tim Drum location in Kennesaw I had high hopes that this location would atleast start off good and consistent like the perimeter location use to be, but alas I was not happy with my first visit. So, not sure if it’s opening jitters but I ordered my favorite items to test this location out… When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the cashier and she handed me a menu and said when I was ready to order to come to the counter… I followed behind her to the counter… I knew what I wanted. 2 Veggie Spring Rolls and 2 Thai Basil Rolls… She said it would be about a ten minute wait so I sat at a table in hopeful anticipation. A few minutes later I was handed my order, I checked to make sure it was right and I was out the door to eat on the run… So as a creature of habit I went for the spring roll first and was like uh oh… they’re kinda flat… why can’t their spring Rolls be more cylinder shape like… I don’t know… like a spring roll… But after first bite… the taste was okay, but the veggies were a bit mushy… maybe they were cooked too long before they went in the wrap… The vegetables should still have some texture even after the roll is fried. Anyway after I finished my first spring roll, I went for the thai basil roll, and that’s where it went very wrong… My first bite of the thai basil roll was like biting into kindling, tree bark, or death… The vegetables were so tough it felt like I had swallowed a rock… Those vegetables had not either been blanched long enough or steamed long enough but either way it was awful… And even the yummy dip that comes with them didn’t help… I had another thai basil roll but after first bite on that one the result was identical to the first one. I wasn’t happy and threw the rest out(I did finish the other spring roll though). For 1.75 a roll… I expect better. I won’t write them off completely, but I wont return for awhile. Consistency and proper cooking… am I asking for so much from a chain restaurant… hopefully not… Golden rule in a restaurant taste the product before you send it out…
