Three words: Simply. Beautiful. Surroundings. Have been looking forward to going to Seed Kitchen forever and finally went for a business lunch today. The staff is incredible, our party was a little late and they held our reservation. When greeted by our server, he referenced the name on our reservation., nice extra touch! Love everything about the beautifully assembled simply elegant décor and attentive, professional and friendly staff. Almost makes the lackluster flavor in the food bearable. Maybe it was just too built up for me, but for these prices, the food should match the spectacular service, but that might just be too perfect. Will be back hoping for better, fresher flavor.

Definitely deserves top 20 best restaurants in «atlanta». The atmosphere is definitely ITP in an OTP location. We actually drove from the city up to Marietta to eat here for an anniversary date. We are Sunday brunch there and we got the cheddar grit fritters which came with 4 I could’ve eaten 4 more they were so delicious. We got the veggie omelette and the chicken schnitzel which were both flavor explosions in our mouth. Our server brought us our tab after our meals and 3 cocktails and it was so affordable I looked at my boyfriend in amazement. Anyone ITP looking for the type of experience you get in the city for an affordable price make the trek to Marietta. Absolutely worth the drive up.

Loved this chef driven restaurant. The service is great. Love the modern look. The food was excellent and affordable. We shared the Parmesan garlic fries. Husband enjoyed the lunch special. I had the spicy Asian fish sandwich.

I chose Seed to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I think I made a good choice after being recommended by a friend to give it a shot. I will start with the service. Our server was very nice and helpful. He made sure to explain every dish and drink to facilitate our ordering process. The manager cane twice to check on us. The service was very professional and never had to ask for anything because they were always there to fill water or take plates or clean the table. We tried 4 different cocktails that were all amazing. They were all fresh and very unique. We had white corn grits fritters and calamari. There is nothing to add to previous reviews about the fritters. They are just perfect. I wasn’t sure about the calamari though. I thought it would come with a twist but it was just plain fried calamari. We ordered hangers steak and pan blue Cod. I didn’t like the steak much. They were a little chewy. I loved the idea of the caramelized onions on the top of the steak and the fries on the side were delicious. Blue Cod was my great. Very tender from the inside and crunchy on the outside. It had Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Definitely a delicious meal to have. We finished our dinner with skillet cookie and that was amazing. We ate that in about 2.5 seconds, even though it was huge. My biggest complaint is the uncomfortable chairs we sat on in the section of the restaurant where we were seated. My back hurt me after a very short period of time. I wish they can fix that somehow. I noticed that other sections have comfortable chairs. Also another bad thing in this place is how loud it is. I was shouting at some point so my wife can hear me. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner and for any special occasions. The decoration and the colors all around are pretty, service is great and the food is good.

There’s a reason Seed Kitchen & Bar is included in Atlanta Magazine’s list of top 50 restaurants. And it’s not just because of the food. I was with a group of friends for our post-book club lunch. Everything on the menu looked fab. I zeroed in on the spicy Asian fish sandwich. «It’s great; you’ll enjoy it,» our server commented. The sandwich came, I took a few bites and thought it «okay.» Without complaining — there was really nothing wrong with it – I told the server I didn’t like it as much as I hoped. «Well then, we’ll take it back and get you something you will like!» she said. I protested. «It’s okay,» I said. She wouldn’t hear of it. Neither would her colleague, who may have been the manager. Within minutes I had a juicy, yummy hamburger that was simply perfect. Have I sampled enough to write a credible review? No – but impeccable customer service(and a great burger) gives me the impetus to return with T. for dinner. Then I’ll post again.

I meant to write this a while ago but didn’t get the time. I made a reservation for my sister’s birthday because this is one of our families favorite restaurants, which says a lot because my family NEVER agrees on one place to eat. This is just one of many of my times at Seed and again, it didn’t disappoint one bit. Every time I come here, the service is great, the staff are all polite and friendly and know the menu, and the food is always up to their standard of greatness. Plating is very nice, flavor is full, and portion is reasonable. Whenever I know I am going to eat here, I make a reservation in advance because I know they fill up fast on the weekends. Regardless of the occasion, I still know I will be coming here many more times in the future.

This place was on fire from start to finish. I honestly can’t complain about anything that I ordered. The service was also on point! The most important: the food. There was this 14 oz rib eye, if you’re a fellow carnivor this will be your MVP. In my few years into adulthood. I can honestly say that the rib eye was one of the best ive ever had. Fine dine here and enjoy the drinks too ;)

I liked this place the first time I ate here, but it’s sort of been disappointing since then. It’s a beautiful space, but the food has been hit or miss and the prices are a bit too high. I’ve enjoyed the cod sandwich for lunch and their salads are pretty good. The shrimp and grits at brunch was too soupy. The coffee, while locally roasted, is too bland at almost $ 4 a cup. The hostess kind of weirded me out when I went for lunch one time, too. It wasn’t that busy and she asked for my name. I asked if there was a wait and she said no, and proceeded to ask for more information which was weird. So I was like, why, and she was like, because we try to make it so everyone has a reservation. That’s weird though! No one does it and on my lunch break I just want to sit down and get to eating my lunch. Maybe that’s not the norm but it was odd. East Cobb needs places like Seed to do better, because we don’t have much else.

Food: 5 — The cheese and grit fritters are really good. The plate comes with 4 fried spheres of goodness served in a small pool of sweet and spicy sauce. The Thomasville Tomme cheese inside(local dairy, btw) is great too. Both dishes we had were cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous. Tons of wine and cocktails on the menu. They also have a decent selection of beers if you so choose. Service: 5 — We ended up hitting Seed for an early dinner on a Monday night. The restaurant was busier than I expected but our waiter was very attentive and prompt. We had a couple of other waiters handle small items throughout the meal and we were also checked on by management twice. Nice touch. Atmosphere: 5 — The interior is modern and very clean. I don’t know if would be noisy on a very busy night but when we were there, it was very pleasant. A couple of quick notes to be aware of. This place is pricey. My wife and I dropped $ 200+ on our meal, drinks and tip included. I think it’s fair for the food you get and the service and the atmosphere, just be aware going in. Second, I get that we’re in the suburbs but there were kids in the restaurant. They were well behaved on our visit and I didn’t notice them until we were walking out, but it begs the question, «How much do I have to spend to get away from other people’s kids?» I would have a real problem paying this kind of scratch if I had to listen to someone’s kid(s) making a ruckus during our meal. Again, just be aware. They have a special«machine» that lets them tap a bottle and serve from it without worrying about long term oxygen exposure. This allows you to try a wine that might otherwise be too expensive for them to serve by the glass. Pretty cool feature and probably something you should take advantage of to tick some cool wines off your wishlist.

From the mocktails to dessert this place hit the spot! Javier our server was super passionate and knowledgeable about the food. His recommendations where spot on. The star of the night for me was the risoto with scallops, specially since the night before i had a really bad experience at Kevin Rathbun Steak, so this was a life saver! Considering the overall price the portions and quality of food exceed expectations! I would highly recommend this place and i will for sure come back again when i’m in Atlanta!

We dined at Seed for a date night. It was a Saturday evening and we expected a busy night therefore had made reservations. Once inside, we were quickly seated. The atmosphere of the restaurant is trendy with most tables filled with a good looking crowd. After ordering our drinks, I looked around and noticed we were seated in the bar section of the restaurant. We concluded that since our reservation was made the previous night(Friday), they sat us in the bar which had space for more tables for seating than the dining room. Because the bar section was full, the three bartenders were also doubling as waitstaff. Our waiter was a nice looking man but spoke in a detached tone.(Rough night?) We ordered the Seed 75 cocktail as well as a German beer(on draft). My partner said he was impressed with the freshness of the German beer as well as the quantity.(We have lived in Germany previously.) Germans know their beer and serve beer in large quantities and thankfully Seed follows the tradition. I wasn’t a fan of the cocktail. I expected a cocktail to knock my socks off and unfortunately this one did not deliver. For dinner we ordered the(fish) catch of the day and sweet potato ravioli. The catch was cod and came with caramelized brussel sprouts. The cod was fresh and cooked perfectly but my partner said the rest of the dish left something to be desired. My sweet potato ravioli was made with homemade pasta(bonus), pan fried in butter sauce and topped with pumpkin seeds. The concept of this dish was fitting however it didn’t actualize. The flavors were spot on but the pasta sheets used to make ravioli were too thick and unfortunately not cooked long enough. I appreciate al dente pasta as much as the next italian nonna but unfortunately the ravioli was cooked way under al dente. Sadly thick under-cooked pasta with a decent filling still makes for a below average dish. Seed has all the ingredients for a successful evening(ambiance, décor, farm-to-table menu, friendly staff), unfortunately, that night was unimpressive. If given the option, I would return to Seed and try something else but I am not sure if that’ll be anytime soon.

What a fun place to eat lunch! Thoroughly enjoyed everything here during my client meeting. :) Parking — Seed shares the lot with so many other places that they HAVE to have a huge lot. Thank God they do. You’ll be able to find one easily. I encourage making reservations. They actually told me they prefer it since they do get busy during lunch times. We were seated as soon as we came in. Pretty empty at first, but as we left, we saw several occupied tables. Service & Environment — Service was solid. I forgot the guy’s name I had, but he was very attentive and super nice. He knew we were in a business meeting, discussing things, and etc so… he came back at appropriate times. I really enjoyed the environment. The entire set up looked cool. I wouldn’t mind coming back with my parents for a special dinner or something. Food — Cornbread — MMMM, I love cornbread in general. Makes my heart happy. This is a great app for maybe 3 – 4 people. You can cut it in any size. It was warm, enriching, and delicious. I’m always down for cornbread! Seed’s version is pretty good. not the best, BUT pretty good. Get the Lunch Trio if you can. It’s worth the money & you’ll leave more than full. I had the Tomato Basil Soup and it was awesome. Definitely a favorite type of soup. I usually like tomato soup anyway, so I kind of knew I’d dig this. The salad was good, not a fan of the sauce(tastes bitter to me, but that’s just me). But the lettuce was dark & looked very fresh. The salmon sandwich was very good. The salmon was done just the way I like it and all ingredients matched well together. The bread was good too!

3.5 stars. Ambiance and service deserve 5 stars. This place is a contrast to its darker, more romantic sister Stem Wine bar next door. It is bright, open, with different comfortable seating arrangements. There is even a corner with books that made me feel like I was in someone’s library. We made reservations for Sunday evening. just in case. We were seated relatively on time. We got cozy seating(I love booth chairs, especially those lined with velvet!). Our server is so friendly and helpful. We were amazed by her recollection of the menu and the specials. She knows her stuff. Grit fritters. No wonder this was doubly boxed on the menu! I love how the cheese just oozes out of these fried balls. Don’t be embarassed to roll them around in the jalapeño pepper jelly. I like sweet and spicy sauces. This caters to the average masses since it wasn’t too spicy(at least to me). Caramelized cauliflower with brussel sprouts and thai herbs. Be healthy and eat your vegetables, especially these that are slightly sweet. Deviled eggs. Looks pretty. Interesting smoked salmon taste/smell. However, it wasn’t rich enough for me. Perhaps more mayo? Hush puppies. Thought they sounded interesting, but they were a disappointment after the grit fritters. Nothing to rave home about. Relatively limited cocktail menu looks interesting but I found that I still cannot tolerate much alcohol. Prosecco makes me feel sick. Raspberry beer though. yum, tastes like a juice! I rounded this up to 4 stars for the ambiance and service. However, food was hit or miss. I may check out their sister restaurant again.

This place is amazing. There is not much to add, the reviews said it all. The service is very professional, the décor is beautiful… it has a modern feel with lots of light, white walls and tan furniture. The food was very good. We had the deviled eggs which was a delight with the salty fried capers and the creamy mustardy yolk. I ordered salmon for the entre and it was a light healthy meal with very little carbs. The salmon was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection.

One of my top favorite places to go in East Cobb. The Food and drinks are well made. It’s a nice place both for large groups and intimate date nights. The cocktails are expertly done and the bartenders know what the more allusive cocktails are called. My friends are semi-cocktail snobs, so we are often being introduced to new«old» creations. I don’t know what’s in them, usually, but if I order it at Seed, I get essentially the same(or better) drink. The food is good. There’s enough variety on the menu to accommodate any taste. I have no favorite it’s just that good. Make a reservation though. Because it’s the best, it gets booked early.

I’ve seen the other reviews on Unilocal for Seed and have wanted to come here for quite some time, but did not really have an occasion. Just the other day I had a special occasion come up, so decided to try Seed. First of all, I made reservations through Open Table a couple of weeks in advance and it worked perfectly. We arrived about 5 minutes early, they had my reservation in the system, and seated us immediately at a very nice table that was relatively private, in a corner. Service overall was truly outstanding, and a gentlemen who I believe was the owner was walking around and would check on the different tables to make sure everything was OK. Everything about the experience here is just about perfect, and I can’t add too much to what the other reviews stated, but here is what I like about Seed: –The entrees are just superb. I had the chef’s special for the evening, which was grilled swordfish from Block Island(I looked it up: it’s in Rhode Island). It came on a bed of lentils with an exquisite sauce. The fish was fresh and just perfectly cooked. The serving size was just perfect, not so big that you were stuffed but not so small that you felt you were cheated. –The appetizer we had was their hummus, which was really good, the best I’ve ever had. The hummus was, I believe, from black eyed peas instead of chickpeas, and came with some feta cheese on top and some other seasoning that made it quite unique. It came with a selection of celery, radishes, and warmed pita bread. –We had their chocolate cookie with ice cream for dessert. It was a big cookie with a lot of chocolate that came in a little skillet with ice cream on top. Very tasty and delicious, but this is the only thing we had that was kind of traditional tasting, so next time I visit I would try something else that might be a little more distinctive. –The price to value here is really good. This is really a fancy type establishment, but the prices are not excessive. My entrée was $ 28, which is reasonable for high quality food. The appetizers and dessert are also priced reasonably for what you get. –The overall menu selection is excellent. Almost every choice looked tempting, and it makes you want to come back to try other items.
