Betsy’s Hallmark Shop

I came into this hallmark to purchase a baby album and ended up also picking up a Valentine’s Day card for my Inlaws. I have a three week old baby at home and two older kids, 6 and 3. I talked to the lady who checked me out about our new baby and it was so nice to be alone running errands for an hour. When I returned home, the card was nowhere to be found. I called and the same lady felt awful that she didn’t put the card in my bag although I had paid for it. I was expecting a credit but she offered to bring it by to our home. I told her that wasn’t necessary but gave her our address and that evening, she dropped it off. We live about 6 miles away so it wasn’t that far but definitely beyond customer service. Awesome!!! Thank you!!!

This is a small Hallmark store located in the Merchants Walk shopping center. I come to this one, because I don’t have to go inside of the mall to get to a hallmark, but that’s all it has that stands out in my book… the convenience of being close.
The selection in the store can be hit or miss sometimes. One week they’ll have something you want, the next week it’s gone and you have no idea if they’re going to restock it according to the ignorant answers I received from a store clerk one day…
Which brings me to say that service is usually ho hum at this location… You can walk in and be completely ignored by the cashier one day while they listen to their music and the next day you’re greeted by a friendly sales person that doesn’t mind answering your questions.
I’ve been to hallmark stores in the mall and have received better service at times… But this is still a decent hallmark to visit. There’s plenty of cards and small toys to pick from… just be sure not to have your heart set on anything particular and if so… order it online…
Overall… convenient location, plenty of parking if the restaurants aren’t super busy… then you’ll have to park down more by Khols. Also, perhaps some of the clerks should read the cards while they sit around… becoming a bit friendlier in the meantime… But I’ll keep coming to this location from time to time… but it probably won’t hurt to go to a Hallmark inside the mall either…
