I relish taking my niece and nephew here-it’s a blast… because it’s a rocket ship park. The park is not sprawling, but it makes up for it with the 3-story climbable rocket ship in the middle. The slide up there is truly terrifying-you will get a friction burn or worse unless you do what I do and use your legs as brakes. The kids love coming here almost as much as I do. There’s also a pavilion or two, sand volleyball, and a baseball diamond for patrons.

Great playground for the kids. I think that most kids from 2 – 12 would have a good time at this park. Quick tip — there’s pea gravel around the outside of the playground area so dress your little ones in closed toes shoes so they’re not complaining about getting rocks in a sandal.

Great Park! My son loves going there! The park is laid out very nicely, in terms of how parents can keep a close eye on the kiddos, without having to directly hawk over them. The cookout pavilions are nice, the restrooms are decent and the snack bar is great and run by very nice folks. All-in-all a great park to let your kiddos burn off some energy and/or have a cook out.

Fun park due to the«Rocket Ship» motiff. It’s busy, but plenty of space making the park not feel so hectic. There are also swings, digging area, and sand lot. The park also boasts 3 nice pavillion areas for eating and grilling, baseball and soccer areas, and a non-fenced in but spacious dog area. The park does have semi-clean bathrooms and a grill/snack station with a killer icee and sno-cone menu. The«Rocket ship» is the focal point as your ankle-biters can run off all that energy climbing the equivalant of three stories and either, take the slides or the climbing wall down a rocket ship, rinse and repeat. A parents dream. The nearest hospital is about 5 minutes away and/or a few watering holes for post-nerve damage. The Loop and other areas are minutes away! We have done a «Rocket Ship», Science museum, and Loop trifecta a few times. My kiddos love this park. They give it 5 Unilocal, some pocket lint, and chewed gum. I agree! Go once, at least.
