What a great Salon! I was visiting my girlfriend over Thanksgiving and she brought me along to her appointment to get a quick cleanup. Back home I go to a standard barber and I have my guy… with my head of hair I really don’t need to venture into a salon very often.
I tell you this place was jamming and Nicole did a great job on my hair. It’s nice to know that I always have a place to go when in Minnesota. Such a nice place with super friendly folks…

I was looking for a local salon that wasn’t going to try and squeeze every dime out of me, and yet get great service by professionals who actually know what they are doing– and Willow is it! Lisa is now my stylist AND she converted my husband over to Willow after he realized the extra few dollars here versus cheaper at any place, let’s say that ends with ‘-cuts’, is well worth his time and satisfaction at the end of the day. Cute atmosphere, great offering of products, and they don’t try to sell you the products like crazy people trying to make a sale, which I love!

I’ve been seeing Melissa for nearly a decade… she’s the only one I’ll let deal with this mop on my head… she’s fabulous!!!

Willow Salon is my first «real salon» experience, and I’ve never looked back!
The salon is spotless with a modern vibe The staff is friendly and always quick to greet me every time. No one is snobby or intimidating at this salon. The receptionist offers water/​coffee while I wait.
I get my hair cut by Heather. Her prices are reasonable ($ 28 for a cut) and the work is high quality. The salon offers $ 5 the first visit and a $ 10 referral discount. Specific prices vary by stylist, but they are all fair.
Appointments are made online through Vagaro. It’s a simple and effective system.
I definitely recommend checking out this Willow Salon!

Just got my cut and 2-​color foil today with Aubrey. Love her! She is so thoughtful and professional yet extremely friendly and fun to be around. She is great with my 12 year old daughter as well (who has a TON of hair) who always leaves the salon feeling special because of how Aubrey treated her. Nicole is an awesome stylist and salon owner too. We love her and I would recommend either Aubrey or Nicole whole-​heartedly!

My first visit here was great and I was very excited to return, however my second visit was a nightmare.
My stylist told me off the bat not to talk with her while she was working, um ok, and then when I asked about follow up visits she tells me I don’t do regrowth only foils. That would have been nice to know prior. When she washed my hair it was a completely different color than what I asked for, not even close. She asked me what I wanted her to do, I said please correct it, she said her next client was there and asked me to leave with wet hair. She still charged me for the bad color, and I’ve been paying well over 100 additional dollars just trying to fix this mess.
I really wanted to like her and the salon, but the simple fact that no one even followed up is a major issue not to mention the fact my hair color is a mess.

I was visiting from San Francisco, a city with a plethora of hip hair salons, but it was one of those «I have to get my hair cut TODAY» kind of days. Unilocal led me to Willow Salon and I am thrilled with the service and cut I got. Melissa was fantastic. She listened to what I was looking for, consulted me on the reality of what was possible, and I left with a fantastic, fresh haircut, feeling beautiful. The challenge: I’ve been growing out a shag/​mohawk for almost a year and I really wanted to blend all my hair into one cut instead of the style mishmash it had become. Melissa took all of this into consideration, as well as my wash-​n-​go grooming habits and distaste for razor techniques, and delivered an amazing, flattering hairstyle. She’s great! And she’s super-​friendly while working her incredible skills on your head. Thank you!

I just got done having Katie cut and color my hair and I love it! After having some very bad hair experiences I we very apprehensive about going anywhere. Katie took her time, listened to my thoughts and did a great job! I will definitely be returning again.

I read the reviews of this salon on Unilocal and decided to try it out after being underwhelmed with my previous salon experience. Wow! This place is awesome! I had a great experience with Ashli and I absolutely LOVE my cut and color. Way to go, Willow Salon — I’ll be back!

Recently moved to Maple Grove and had to find a new Hair Cutter-​read some reviews on Willow and made an appointment. Ashli gave me the exact haircut I wanted (she listened to me-​yay!) and I have been back 4x since-​the prices are ridiculously reasonable-​especially since I am used to paying a LOT more for a cut I don’t really like. I recommend Ashli and Willow to anyone looking for a great cut that doesn’t break the bank!

Perks:
1.) Very Clean– no dirty towels laying around and their color bar was out in the open– everything was spotless. The tools that were used were not put back with unused tools– you could tell that they washed them before reusing.
2.) The stylist was professional and friendly and really met my haircut needs.
3.) Price– the top stylist is only about $ 40 and they had a $ 5 off special for new customer’s.
4.) Easy online booking– which was a plus since I don’t have time to make a bunch of calls. You can see all of the pricing and appointment availability online. Account sign-​up was hassle free and I got an email confirmation right away.
5.) Was greeted and offered a beverage within 30 seconds of entering the salon.
6.) All of the stylists were dressed professionally but trendy and each of the ones that were there during my visit had GREAT hair– which is something I always look for.
7.) Stylist offered some great tips about coloring my hair at home. I loved that she gave tips without the pressure of making me feel like I needed to have my color done in a salon.
This was my first visit to Willow — I decided to try them out being that they had received a ‘Best of Maple Grove’ Award. I booked the appointment online (which was simple and easy) and went with a stylist named Melissa and she was AWESOME! She reviewed the photos that I gave her and took the time to find out what I wanted before we moved on. I was impressed that she answered all of my questions and even went over the two different styles that I showed her and gave me the pros/​cons as I was concerned that I didn’t want something that was going to be a daily hassle as I have a very active baby and sometimes I just don’t have the time. In the end I ended up cutting off 7+ inches and she made sure I was comfortable along the way and even asked several times if I was sure that I wanted that drastic of a change– the haircut turned out fabulous and she took the time to style it really adorable as I was going in to work. I would highly recommend trying them out. Willow Salon offers a hip/​trendy environment with a personable staff that has solid customer service skills that are sometimes lost in today’s businesses.

I’m a huge fan of Nicole’s Willow Salon! She has been doing my hair for years… I truly get stopped and asked where I get my hair done.
She runs a fantastic place, clean, cool atmosphere, and fun!

I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Willow pretty much since they opened. I love this salon and absolutely adore my stylist Danie. She always keeps my cut fresh and is up on all of the most current color trends.
