Great chips & salsa. The prices are HIGH! Plan on spending $ 10+ for lunch. Super friendly employees!!!

Thanks for the memories Baja Sol. Your cost savings has just cost you 2 more customers. You have to pay for chips and salsa now and the salsa wasn’t even that good. Also skimpy on the guacamole.

Lunch for three last Wednesday. I’ve eaten at Baja a few times over the past few years. Nice location-plenty of seating and large windows. Order and pay at a small window and pick food up later when they shout a receipt number– strangely impersonal process. No food prep or actual cooking is visible to customers. I suspect most of the meals are heated/assembled rather than actually cooked from scratch. No law against it, but the value is questionable and I like to see quick food prepared or cooked, or at least the appearance of food being prepared is nice. The variety of fresh salsas and chips is fun to experiment with and ‘free.’ I ordered fish tacos. Presented in a small tortilla with shredded lettuce and a light sauce. It tasted ok, but the fish was a thin strip of deep fried fish. Cheap. Friend ordered two tacos– upgrade to steak. His two tacos and a soda add up to $ 11– a bit high for a quick food lunch. Bottom line: Quick but expensive Mexican food for the suburbs. Chipotle does burritos better. Plenty of other places to get quality Mexican food if you are willing to drive a bit.
