I’m here to often, but eating here sure beats waiting for food at just about any other restaurant if you’re in a hurry. Two hot dogs tonight.

Never thought I’d write a review for Costco Food Court. Food is inexpensive. For a buck and a half, you can get a polish dog with all the fixings and a unlimited refill soda fountain. Every thing else is pretty good too. Nothing to rave about, but like everything else at Costco, you can appreciate the value.

They now take debit cards, 1 star. Cheap foods, more specifically the buns on their polish aren’t soggy or cold, polish dogs are not overcooked, and chicken bakes are skinny, stuffed, and long! 2 stars Very clean for a Saturday lunch hour 1 star. One of the quietest Costco warehouses, and they must have renovated a bit to accommodate more seating. The only qualm I have is that the tire section is right next to the food court.

Id give no stars if possible. I ordered 2 combo pizzas and waited and watch as EVERYONE after me get there orders before me. Even this group got three pizza got theirs before me. Every time I went up to ask if my number was called they said it’s in the oven. Two men who showed up 20 minutes after me got theirs before me. I ordered at 6:15 and saw them put my pizzas in the oven at 6:48. I ended up waiting almost a hour for my pizzas. The employee were more interesed in their phones than doing their jobs. Every time I looked up a phone was out. Horrible! horrible! horrible!

Horrible customer service. My family ordered several food including a large pizza, which they promised it would be ready in 15 mins. We didn’t mind the 15 mins wait. We went to the pickup window and the lady said it wasn’t ready yet but it’s on it’s way out of the oven. Okay, we didn’t mind waiting a few extra minutes. I went up to the window again and waited for my number to be called. Nobody was overseeing the pizza oven nor cutting the pizzas. I waited about ten minutes and finally, an employee started cutting the pizzas but she didn’t acknowledge me or asked if I had been helped. Instead, she helped another family who cut right in front of me. Either they were understaffed on a Friday or very discombobulated. They need to have an organized assembly line or management help instead of flustering over wrapping up a hot dog! I will never return to this Costco ever again. If you’re getting paid over $ 15/hour to prep food, at least put a smile on your face or don’t work in customer service at all!!!

I don’t know what the problem is with other reviewers, but I do order my food when I check out my stuff in the regular line, then, walk over, get in the far left line. The staff in our Costco are ALWAYS as nice as can be, very helpful if I need hot peppers or whatever. I got no complaints, none! Good peeps!

I started a separate Unilocal page for Costco’s food area because I did not want to lump the two reviews into one and I feel they are different experiences all together. Typically when my husband and I come to Costco we grab a quick bite to eat at the little food court area inside the store. Besides the obvious fact that the prices here are unbeatable($ 1.50 for a Polish dog and a soda) the food is pretty good. I always get the Polish dog and soda combo and my husband either gets the same or a slice of pizza and a soda. Either way we both eat for about $ 5.00 which is amazing. They only accept cash or get this, a check, but no credit or ATM cards. They may want to work on taking more methods of payment I think but you can’t win them all. The reason I am giving them a 3 star rating is the consistent bad customer service we get when we go there. The price and the fact the food is good are keeping the rating above 1 – 2 stars. Now I understand that the interaction with the people that work there is minimal because all they really do is ring you up and hand you your food and then you go sit down but that is exactly my point. How do you screw that up? Well I have been there quite a few times and I can count on one hand how many times the ordering process has gone on there without a hitch. Let’s go with my most recent experience shall we? We arrived at Costco on a Wednesday afternoon and headed to the food court and there was line as there usually is. One person was helping people and I saw one the other one taking care of pizza orders. No biggie, I stood in line waiting my turn and up walks Denise aka«the problem». «The problem» gets on the other register and helps the next people in line. She is moving like molasses in winter time. I could not believe how slow she was. The people the other girl was helping had kids and basically could care less about anyone else because they kept changing their mind every two minutes and the girl had to keep starting over and the parents allowed it. I was next and really was not sure who would get done first. Well«the problem» finally finished ringing up the other customer and as I started to walk up for my turn she walked away from her register and started harassing the pizza guy(as if he needed her help). Five minutes later she comes back to her register and I start to walk up again and then«the problem» steps off to the side and starts having a conversation with the pizza guy and another employee who was now with him and more or less is completely ignoring me. This went on for at least another 5 minutes and I was starting to get pissed at this point because I did not understand why she was interfering in their thing instead of helping move the line through which had grown much longer by then. Plus it should not take 10 minutes to get food from here EVER! Ive gotten food faster at Denny’s. Finally the other girl was available and I went and got helped. While I’m getting helped I am listening to «the problem’s» next victim. She could not seem to understand that he paid for a whole pizza in the checkout line and was just there to pick it up. She wanted to do a refund and ring it up again. UMWHY?! I could see the frustration on the other girl’s face because she was the only one really working on the register. When she asked everyone to make two lines nobody within earshot wanted to get into«the problem’s» line. Can’t say I blame them. That was just my most recent experience here. Other experiences basically consisted of slow service, rude service, or not having any condiments stocked. I like the food there and the prices but the service is not up to snuff hence the three star rating and that is mainly for the price. It’s a good place to grab a cheap bite to eat before shopping at Costco and thank GOD the interaction with the employees there is minimal. In summation if this place was not dirt cheap and the food wasn’t decent I would not put up with the service here for a minute.
