Worst medical office I’ve ever dealt with. I would give them no stars if I could. I few months ago I needed a ultrasound and it took them over a week to give me the results after I had left several messages. My husband called them pissed off because I was in pain and no answers from them. Now, I’ve had a swollen ankle since May, I took a X-​ray and again no results form them. My sister who works for a doctor in Oakland called to get the results. I need an MRI and it took them almost a week to send the request to the insurance for approval, I called today and it was just sent on the 29^th and approved that same day, yet they haven’t called me. You call and depending on who answers the phone you will get a different answer and they are so rude. I’ve had it, changed my doctor.

Dr. Bacay is approachable, seems to really care, and wants to understand any changes in your life– eating, exercise, stress, and so on.
Her office staff is friendly and the waiting area is clean and actually rather inviting– there’s a t. v, some reading materials, and the chairs are comfortable.
I would recommend Dr. Bacay for all your primary care needs.

I just moved to LA and realized how much I miss my doctors office. Maria Bacay is the best doctor ever. I have known her most of my life even before she had her practice. She is compassionate and just truly has a warm heart. Her staff of nurse practitioners Sherri and Cassie are both intelligent women. I just want to hug them. You never feel rushed even though you know that the appt is back to back.
In La I notice my insurance being charged ten times the price for a normal office visit. That was never the case with Bacay. She is very reasonable. Her staff works very hard. Treat them well!

I’m a new patient trying to make an appt for today. Since I’m new, their office has to verify my insur before I can make an appt. So that’s fine, but, over an hour goes by and no phone call back. I called and there is only 1 Billing person working there and she is overloaded. Looking up the insur coverage should take no more than 5min. But the billing person there said she was super busy and had no time to look it up. I explain to her that it was urgent and she was still unwilling to take the time to check my insur. So, I mentioned to her that I was then going to go somewhere else. She said, «that was my decision» and didn’t care to want my business. I truly hope Dr. Bacay reads this and realizes her Billing department does not care to take 5min to add a new patient. Which is taking away business, future business, and referrals to her. Perhaps Dr. Bacay needs to really look at her Billing department and make some changes on adding new patients. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see Dr. Bacay since I heard she was such a good Dr.

Dr. Maria Bacay is hands down one of the best doctor’s that you could ever see… she is compassionate and understanding. I’ve been seeing Dr. Maria now for over 8 years and I truly love her. Like Michelle T. said they are busy in their office and I do have to see the nurse practitioners but I don’t ever have a problem seeing Cassie McCurdy or Sheri Hoekman-Teach…they are equally awesome as well. I truly feel comfortable in this office and that my needs are more than met. Their staff is hands down the best! I highly recommend Bacay Medical Associates!

I haven’t been able to see the actual doctor, because they are so busy. This office is great, though. I have seen the Nurse Practitioners multiple times and I love them. They are ridiculously knowledgable and so kind hearted. I don’t mind at all that I haven’t been seen by the docs! The staff is nice, quick and make you feel comfortable. I have a PPO and can go wherever I want, but this is the place for me. They had squeezed me into their hectic schedule within less than 24 hours which I will always be greatful for. There is usually not a long wait for the NP, but I dread getting on that scale!!!
