This is my family’s «go-to» in Mansfield; the one place we all agree on. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Staff is always friendly & accommodating. I wish their sangria was less«sweet & sour» and more«fresh fruity» but their food and staff more than make up for that. We’ve been to other local Tex-Mex restaurants, Cha-Cha’s and El Primo’s, but Mama Cuca’s has them beat by a mile!

Best Margaritas by far! Street tacos are amazing too. We go there at least once a week.

Good job! For me it’s always starts with the chips and salsa. This place started off good and kept it up throughout! 4 stars!!!(At least)

Finally tried it and we were not disappointed! As soon as we told our server Narahy it was our first visit, it was as if she was excited to introduce us to all of the wonderful things they have to offer! I decided to try the Michelada since I saw a picture in another review. It was giant and it was good(I only finished half). The corn tortillas are homemade and yummy! Queso was just ok. BUT, the tortilla soup was wonderful! A ‘cup’ is huge with chunks of chicken and avocado and plenty of flavor. The Cucas Pollo was wonderful. Very flavorful sour cream sauce and chicken cooked perfectly. The Grilled Poblano with beef fajita meet was very good as well. Save just a little room for sopapilla! Again, our server Narahy was wonderful and seemed to have something to say about everything on the menu! Anxious to go back and try something different!

Good sweet tea? Check Good chips and Salsa? Check Good queso? Check Good food? Check Why 4 stars? The food is freshly prepared. It took 40 minutes or so to get our food. The waitress kept saying our food will be out in a moment. A moment is 40 minutes? Come on now, tell me it may be awhile and not a moment. Lol. I got the grilled poblano with fajita meat. Delicious! They don’t skimp you on the meat at all. I would be back again, of course. Just come if you want aren’t that hungry in the first place and want to chill out for awhile.

I love the spinach. Nicely seasoned, semi tart, super fresh tasting. The corn tortillas make the spinach enchilada oh so good. Staff is patient and full of hustle. You will not have to wait and beg for food or refills, because the staff check on you constantly, but not in a «getting on your nerves» way. This is a nice, off the beaten path restaurant, with homemade food. I like it!

I was in the area for Thanksgiving weekend, the Cowboys game. We wanted a place to eat the day after, Unilocal helped us find this gem. I searched(Micheladas) and this spot popped up. We sat at the bar, the service was GREAT! The Micheladas were HUGE! The food was great too. No complaints, next Thanksgiving I’ll be visiting this place again.

Honestly the food isn’t bad, but the service is consistently slow. If your food comes and something is missing, count on the food getting cold before they check back. Initial greeting, drink service, order, food and check are all slow. The staff is pleasant and it’s a nice place, but apparently customer service isn’t part of their business model.

Tuesday Date Night Excellent, authentic Mexican flavors and inexpensive house margaritas. Beware: their large draft beer is HUGE. We had the stuffed grilled pablano pepper(stuffed with meat/cheese) with charro beans and mixed veggies(instead of rice). My wife ordered beef fajita meat and I had the chicken fajita meat. Red salsa was nice … a bit garlicy for my bride, tho. Green Salsa is nicely piquante ! Corn chips are nicely thin They float grand marnier over their house margaritas — $ 4 for large during 4 – 7 happy hour … great deal and much better than On the Border Half of the patrons were Hispanic(and that is typical for our biweekly visit to this restaurant). Service, as usual, was fast, attentive and friendly. Our server this week was Veronica … well done!

We were looking for a New Mexican joint and I think we found a gem. The salsa was yummy. The chipotle enchiladas were great. The beer was huge. The waitress was very nice.

Cuca’s Pollo might have been the best chicken we’ve ever had… ever… as in not just Mexican. Tender and full of flavor. For $ 10 you can have their top shelf Margarita and choose your tequila. One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever enjoyed. To be fair, I should say I’m from Missouri and haven’t experienced much Mexican food in Texas. I’ll be back to Mansfield soon and will definitely go back to Cuca’s.

Went here for the first time for dinner. It was busy on this Thursday night, so that was a good sign. My girlfriend and I were promptly seated and our drink orders were quickly taken. My girlfriend had the«blackberry» sangria and I had the standard frozen margarita. Three words: They were GREAT… lol. No complaints there. We were given three kinds of salsa with our chips. Red, green(spicy kick!), and their«hot» blend. The hot stuff was a bit«chunky» but otherwise it was, indeed, spicy… lol. But we like spicy so, again, no complaints! For dinner we had the spinach enchiladas and beef enchilada plates. Everything tasted fresh. The rice was perfectly seasoned. And the sauce over them was excellent. We waited about the average time as anywhere else and the waitress was always passing by asking if we were doing okay. I would dare say this is our new favorite local Mexican restaurant! Their food was even better than the great and powerful On The Border… lol. We will certainly be returning. Definitely worth a try if you’ve never been.

Visited once again for a birthday celebration and was very satisfied with the food. I’ve read a lot of reviews commenting on the service or slowness of it and while their staff doesn’t exactly hover, I can see where some people would expect more. A better understanding of their mechanics might be in order. First of all, dishes are prepared TOORDER. Unlike most Tex-Mex joints, they do not have plates of rice and beans and enchiladas sitting in a cooler, only to be thrown through an oven on-order. MC’s(Mama Cuca’s) builds, assembles and dresses each plate as it’s ordered so yeah, it might talk a little longer. That little nugget aside… I had the TACOS de MEXICO and I must say — I’ve now found a new favorite to add to my gastric bookmark-list. Chucks of grilled fajita beef, homemade corn tortillas(YUM on it’s own), fresh avocado on the side, onions, rice, beans. Very filling and very reasonable for 11 bucks when you consider the quality. My wife and daughter had the Tortilla soup so of course I had to take a bite. Very flavorful and very generous with the portions. It had a nice authentic taste thanks to the camino(cumin) and cilantro. Worth a try if you’re a fan of the soup. Margs were very good and served in a 20 oz pint glass. They had a good kick without being too sweet, too tart or too syrupy.

This was my first time here and was quite enjoyable on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was pleasant, not too loud, and the place including the restroom was very clean. The cup of queso tasted great. The chips reminded me of those at Chuy’s; a pleasant surprise. I had the beef and cheese enchiladas; both were served warm and tasted fantastic. Our waiter was nice and knowledgeable. My expectations weren’t very high, but I left here thinking this is one of the better Tex-Mex places in Arlington/Mansfield. I will definitely be returning here. I heard about this place through word of mouth.

First time and it was more than expected. The restaurant is nice and clean. It seems to be the Sunday after church meeting place, which is cool. I had the beef enchiladas where were very good, chili con crane was very tasty. Both my wife and son had nachos and they seemed to like them, but how can you mess up nachos. They give you both red and green salsa, green is both tasty and hot. Service was good even though the place was busy. I will be back and I recommend to others to try!!!
