Seriously? How is it even possible to burn a tamale when tamales are supposed to be steamed? Ask Cha Chas because they certainly have it down. Ordered a dozen tamales to go(received 9 not 12) and got home to tamales that were so burnt you couldn’t even remove the husks as they were stuck to the tamale. Called to let the manager to let them know and she was rude and hung up on me. My family and I swore this place off over a year ago and this was the first time to step foot back in the restaurant. Will NEVER return again and will gladly spread the word. On a side note, the margaritas are terrible as they are so overloaded with margarita mix there is probably a potential for burning a hole in one’s esophagus. Cannot wait for LOSMOLCAJETES to open this summer!!! Corner of Walnut Creek and 287 in the old Johnny Carinos space. Now they have some delish Mexican food and great margs!

I have gone here many times of the last 20 years. My neighbors think it is the best Mexican restaurant in Mansfield, while I on the other hand think it is one of the worst Mexican restaurants. The food, in my opinion is mediocre. I guess I am in the minority, however, as it is always crowded and hard to find parking.

Food wasn’t all that, but the service was really great. They have a bar on the other side which is nice when you wanna grab a drink with a friend or significant other… But was hoping for the food to taste a little better. Chips and salsa are really good though!

2.50 margaritas all day Saturday. Food Is great every time I come. Service is ok. They have Wi-Fi. It is pretty busy, but I’ve never had to wait to be seated.

My family and I came by after our family pics in downtown Mansfield. The service was good despite having a rowdy party of 10. The Resturant was really nice inside. We all pretty much got something different. I didn’t love the food. The service was ok. The fried shrimp was good but not stand out. Over all I wouldn’t come back on my own.

Always have good daily specials at a reasonable price. Their salsa is good! It’s not bland and it’s not too spicy. The food here is pretty authentic. Don’t be surprised if you see ladies making the tortillas out in the open

I enjoyed my visit here got to introduce the hubs to a Mexican style empanada I usually eat the Puerto Rican one but hey we were here so no complaino;) the service was good the waitress there took care of us and had a bubbly personality… although I had a yummy frozen Margarita I was able to scarf down a lot of the yummy combo fajitas… oh gosh the steak was perfect too!!! Had a great date night hope to go back soon!

For the price, I think this is a good Mexican restaurant. Very inexpensive and the food is always fresh. I love the chips and salsa. The chips are nice and hearty, not flimsy. I usually get the enchiladas and a tamale on the side. I did try a chicken flauta the last time I was there and I have to say the chicken was very tough. I won’t order that again but will definitely visit again. Not the best tax-exempt I have ever had, but not a bad place to stop in if you want a tasty meal for cheap.

Love this place. My husband and I come here at least once a week. We always share a plate, either the make your own or the molcajete. We even take some home when we order the molcajete. The people are always friendly and attentive. And top shelf margaritas are always on point.

like the food, hate the parking. I thought when the place burned that they would take time to fix some of the short comings, like the parking lot, but, no still cramped and small and no way to see to get out if bubba parks his monster truck on the grass, and he always does. I only go every now and again when I would go every week, good pricing and ok service. sausa does taste tinny so queso is best.

We are fans. Usually. The food is decent Tex-Mex and the restaurant is cute and decorated nicely. I love homemade tortillas so this place makes me happy. We started off good with ordering drinks and queso with flour tortillas. The waitress informed me they now charge .85 for four. I thought that was sort of cheap of them to charge, but .85 isn’t bad so why not. My daughter makes her meal with queso and tortillas so she’s still a cheap date. Waitress brings them all right away and says she’ll be back in a minute. And we wait and wait and wait. Finally after 10 minutes with no sighting of her I flagged down another waitress and placed our order. Food comes out by the waitress who we placed our order with too. 5 minutes later the first one comes back and asks if we are missing something. I said no the other waitress took care of us and we will just stick with her. I mean I’d rather tip the person actually helping us. She gave me a nasty look and walked off. It’s minor to me. We still like the food, and the price is right. Plus my kids love it. We haven’t ever really had a bad meal and the hubs loves the molcajetes.

Made a impromptu decision to eat here on a Saturday night and it was a great decision. $ 2.50 margaritas on Saturdays! HUGE and strong! We had combo fajitas for two. Great portions, food was delicious. Will defiantly eat here again!

Apparently lots of Mansfield folks love this place. It is always crowded & busy. We went with 2 other couples and were thoroughly unimpressed. Our service was inattentive and inaccurate and while everybody said their food was OK, no spectacular reviews from any of us. We are all long-time Tex-Mex eating Texans-not neophytes who don’t recognize great Tex-Mex. I did notice it was not expensive. That was not enough to put it into the starting rotation for us.

Oh Cha Cha’s. Why I come here: The 4th star is because management cares about you!!! 1. Close to where I live and have been coming here for 10 years+ 2. Love the Ritas. Cheap and satisfying. 3. Chips and salsa. 4. Tortillas. 5 Consistent food that has not changed over the years. 6. I know what to expect. For those that have not been here before let me share with you a secret… This is a neighborhood Tex Mex restaurant that is loud, busy, consistent, and not expensive. What you will enjoy is your standard consistent Tex Mex fare that is tasty and cheap! I always get the Cha Cha’s, good as always, and have other dishes on the menu and they have always satisfied. If you don’t like it great. That allows all of us regulars to not have to wait for your ignorance. Go somewhere else and over spend. Cha Cha Cha!

My husband and I went here on Valentine’s Day because we forgot it was Valentine’s Day and everywhere else had at least an hour wait. They were busy, but we were seated right away. The service was great — very fast. Our waitress forgot to put in our queso, and our food came out lightening fast, so instead of getting irritated we just figured we shouldn’t be eating queso anyway. The food was pretty average. I had the pork chops, which were seasoned well but pretty dry. My husband has a chimichanga which was pretty average as well. The beers were cheap! And they have Modelo on tap! Bonus! Here’s my issue and reason for the 2 stars. Their tortillas, which are delicious, are kept in a container that sits directly on the floor. The waiters literally bend over the insulated cooler to pick them out(with tongs of course). And this container was NOT covered! This is a huge food safety no-no. So just be sure you’re up to date on your shots if you eat the tortillas.

Mother and law and I went here for dinner last Thursday. Seated in a hard wooden booth in an extremely loud dining area. She got a combo plate and liked it all. I ordered the grilled chicken, rice and beans(to go for hubby), which was very bland. Kudos to our waiter for knowing immediately that refried beans had lard and other beans do not. Hubby is a vegetarian and I took the beans home for him. I ate about 1⁄5 of my dinner and packed it up to go. While we were eating, I noticed the A/C vent in the ceiling was dripping on my hand, so likely onto my food. Called the waiter over, he looked up, and said .yeah it does that sometimes. He called the manager over and he could have been the poster child for how NOT to handle a customer complaint. We explained the dripping vent and he acknowledged that they were aware of the problem, but the A/C people hadn’t come to fix it yet. He gestured to my now empty plate and said«so, you are saying the water dripped on your food?» I explained that I saw and felt it drip onto my hand that was holding the fork that was moving the food from the plate to my mouth, so I concluded it was a distinct possibility that it dripped into my food. He repeated the question and I said yes, I believe it did. He then said«are you asking me to take this off your bill?» I replied, no I am not. I am pointing this out because its gross and I thought you should know. He then repeated THAT statement and I again said no. He said he would take the meal off our bill and left the table. The place was not full nor was there a line, so I would have expected them not to seat customers in the soggy booth, but obviously they were aware and didn’t care! Food wise, the chicken had no flavor and was slightly dry, as a breast can be. The rice could have been that Spanish Rice Mix, in a bag from the grocery for as uninspired as it was. I asked for an order of chips and salsa to go and our waiter brought me a bag for our chips in the bowl and a large salsa in a to go container, which was a nice touch. Overall, based on the underwhelming food and disinterested manager, I doubt we will return! If you go, look up before you dig into your food or you may be soggy(and sorry!)
