Urbanrose sells her original, handcrafted jewelry online and in outdoor NYC markets from March to Christmas. Her stuff is the bomb! She makes fantastic lockets with fine art images (Mucha, Waterhouse, modern funk, etc.) among other fabulous pieces of handmade jewelry.
Her jewelry is always beautifully (and correctly) finished, so you’ll never find the ‘raw brass’ junk that many other fabricators try to push off as ‘vintage’. Green skin is never quaint and new raw brass is not vintage.
She also makes gold-​filled and vermeil pieces with semi-​precious stones. One of her greatest inventions is her convertible necklace that can be worn in many different lengths and styles, basically giving the owner a lot of different looks in a single piece.
You can find her every weekend (weather permitting) on Prince St., between Mulberry & Mott (April — December), at the Fulton Stall Market in the South Street Seaport (April — October) and on Houston St. between Sullivan & Thompson (March — December) and online.
