They lost my shirt, gave me the runaround for weeks when I asked about it, and were rude when I requested repayment. The woman at the front made the ridiculous claim that because I didn’t have the receipt from my purchase of the shirt, she couldn’t be sure I bought the type of shirt I claimed(which was not expensive), and that most people kept their receipts for seven years. A reasonable attitude and an apology would have kept my business, but I suppose that was too much to ask.

The service is awfull: the lady supposed to welcome customers seems always bored, never smiles and says no hello, no good bye, no thank you(I went there 6 or 7 times: no improvement) Moreover last time I gave her my laundry in 2 different bags(white in one, dark colors in the other): when I came back, everything was in the same bag, mixed, so I guess she washed them all together! Thanks for my clothes! I give them 2 stars beause their detergent smells very good but I won´t go back there(Little J at the corner is much more friendly)

Best dry cleaner in the area — UN /Midtown East — they care, they put in the extra effort — and they will do over anything you’re not happy with or that needs extra cleaning(you can’t expect everything to be perfect)! I’ve been using them for 6 plus years– and I’ve never thought of going elsewhere. The prices are reasonable– the staff is cordial and they are experts. If you want a hometown, reliable and trusted dry cleaner– this is the place.

I have been using this place for almost a year, and have had excellent service. Nothing has ever been lost(knock on wood!), they are incredibly fast, and very friendly and kind. They also pick up your laundry and drop it off for free. Pretty good prices for both laundry service and dry cleaning. Definitely recommend as a good neighborhood spot!

I’ve used this business about five times. The very first time I noticed a pair of pants were ruined. There were two bleach stains and a hole in them. I don’t use bleach. The last time I noticed my graphic T-shirts were fading and the graphics were cracking. I’ve had some shirts for a few years and they looked new. I don’t know what this place is doing but it is killing your clothes. Now I’m on a hunt to find another laundry service that won’t destroy my clothes.

I have lived in Midtown East for over a year and time after time have come here to get my laundry done. I believe they are the cheapest in the area, which is why I kept going back even after several disappointing experiences… My laundry never seems to be «fresh» when I pick it up. Doesn’t have that«just washed» smell and sometimes I’ve noticed that the clothes actually still have stains on them! These aren’t tough stains, they are normal stains any washing should remove. I really believe they only use a dash of detergent to cut costs. One time I picked up a pair of beige pants with a tar-like black spot on them. When I asked one of women who works there what happened, she inisisted I brought them in like that. Well, if I brought them in dirty, shouldn’t you have cleaned them? Isn’t that what you do here?! She then took it back with a huff, and agreed to clean them. I feel like clothes of mine have disappeared there and never come back. I know this because socks have returned home without their other half and I’ve even found other people’s clothes in my laundry! Most of the women who work there are friendly. The woman who runs the place is mean though and has attitude with the workers and customers. I mean, come on they have a sucky job I feel bad! Cut them some slack! Finally my most recent visit here solidified this place in my no-go book. I received a ticket for laundry service and the dry cleaning of a coat. When I went to go pick up my belongings, the woman at the register crossed out the $ 10 price for the coat cleaning and put $ 15 over it. I asked her what she was doing and she said she put the wrong price. I looked down at the large pricelist at the counter and asked her why the most expensive coat cleaning price(there were several) on there was $ 12.50 yet she was charging me $ 15. She pointed to the«and up» printing that was faded from viewing. I guess they can just make up their own prices. I rolled my eyes and paid but never will return!

The one thing that I noticed even before officially moving into my neighborhood is that there are literally no laundromats! Luckily, there are a ton of dry cleaners that have laundry service, but I was a little worried about how expensive it would be. I had no need to worry. Triple Eight Cleaners is by far the closest of these places to me so I figured why lug my laundry bag any further than I had to… at least for the first try. Happy to say I was pleased with the service and have been back again. Laundry is $ 0.95/lb with a $ 5 – 6 minimum. Same day service, and supposedly free pickup/delivery, but I haven’t tried that out yet. I would look like the laziest person ever because I’m so close. Maybe if I have a super big load of laundry someday I’ll take them up on it. Everything has been neatly folded and nothing has been missing so that’s always good. I don’t have many clothes that need dry cleaning but do need lots of things tailored(the downfalls of being short!) so I will be sure to check out their skills in these areas when need be!
