SnAKS at Saks Fifth Avenue

O Snacks fica dentro do departamento da saks. É uma parada estratégica sempre que vou para NY, adoro ir na Saks e aproveito para almoçar por lá mesmo. O ambiente é bem estiloso em tons de laranja e as cadeiras em lilas! Aproveite para pedir uma tacinha de champagne! Gosto de pedir as saladas que são deliciosas mas sempre guardo para a sobremesa! A pedida tem que ser o crêpe de 1000 camadas da Lady M… SENSACIONAL!

The hot chocolate is watered down and is less flavorful than dunkin donuts…
Cheese cake was pretty good but there is no cake just a little lump of sweet cream cheese topped with stuff.
The crêpe suzette is not a crêpe suzette it is some atrocity people are calling a crêpe cake. It was delicious but not a crêpe suzette.
The water glasses were dirty and had coffee grinds or pepper inside them.
The service was good and friendly. The saving grace.

For a quick bite while shopping this is a great stop. We had the egg salad sandwich and the spinach salad (we added chicken). Delicious! We had the lady M cake. Yummy!!!

Slow weird service even though the place was more than half empty, ordered cookies and truffles which were stale and of cheap quality, you’re being over charged,
My coffee was waaay toooo hot I had to wait ages to drink it, it was CLEARLY microwaved for that Kind of temperature!
fine for a quick drink and rest but really save your money for something else (anything else)

Saks fifth? beside you being such an amazing department store… you guys actually have a pretty decent restaurant… I think I would keep it pretty simple… not anything extravagant… but somewhere with some class… Can’t go wrong relaxing at Snaks at Saks fifth avenue while your getting some shopping done!

Great customer service !! I called in, asked if they had an item in stock. She said would check and call me back in 5 min. Guess what, she called me back in 5 min and held the item for me.

I was invited by a Saks sales associate to discuss upcoming purchases and we went to the 5^th floor café and sat down at a table.
A server appeared within seconds, only to inform us that we would HAVE to order food if we were to be sitting at a table. Despite the Sales associate informing the waitress that we were there to discuss some purchases, the waitress made us move to the bar, as we did not want to eat, and an order of coffee would not be justifieable to have while sitting at a table.
So we moved to the bar, but just did not feel like ordering anything after that first impression of HAVING to order food, and were not even asked if we needed anything.
15 minutes into our conversation, a rcafe manager appeared, introduced herself, and basically kicked us out of the café, explaining that we could not just sit there to discuss Saks business without ordering.
While I understand that in any other café/​restaurant you should purchase something to claim the right to be spending time there, this Café is inside Saks, and I was there to spend $$$$ at Saks. My personal sales assosciate (who was genuinely embarrassed by the Café’s Managers behavior) tried to explain to the manager that she was with a customer, but the manager did not seem to understand, but was, in fact, very rude in having us leave the café.

i actually had a grat experience, yes some of the sales people can be very annoying, but theyre just doing their job.
you can find everything you need there and the customer service is exceptional!

My mom and I were checking out Saks and decided to have lunch in their café. It seems to be highlighting a particular champagne right at the moment but were certainly were not pushed to buy it.
Our server was attentive and came over often to check on us. At the end, the manager did have to run our credit card as the server disappeared but other than that, the service was good.
For food, mom had the grilled cheese sandwich with the soup of the day which happened to be vegetable barley. The bread was a nice sourdough and was grilled to a good crisp. She really enjoyed both items. I had a salad which had lots of good toppings and dressing.
Definitely a great place if you want a quick bite to eat. They have lots of options — food, drinks, desserts, coffee.

Perhaps i was just really hungry after walking in the sun for an afternoon, but im gonna go ahead and give this place a 5.
I ordered the chicken and brie sandwich with apple. It was really amazing. The toast is crispy, a bit like pizza, generous amount of brie melted on the chicken. Apple goes well with the dish.
Also, another plus, they have free wifi under ATT. staff was also very friendly. Would defo come back if i come to saks again!

What a treat! During a shopping day in Saks going up the escalator and I glance over… what a beautiful site! My daughter and I stopped in for a glass of champagne and a cheese tray, a relaxing and fun spot!

Nice for a drop in on a busy shopping day for a quick share of a pizza or app if you need something to tie you over until your next meal but nothing that’s a must drop in. There are other places in that area if you are looking for something a more proper full meal.

Very simple menu. Food was good, but predicable. Had the chop salad with chicken which was very enjoyable. Service was ok, but nothing spectacular. Most convenient for having a bite while shopping. Would go back for convenience sake.

I didn’t eat anything here but the drinks were very disappointing and predictably expensive. No thanks.

Classy but not necessarily the best food around.
We had the crêpe Napoleon. Not bad but I wish the apricot ginger marmelade had been in the layers to bring sole sparkle to the cake. They were out of the flourless chocolate so we had chocolate ganache. Quite good but we did not get the hazelnut tuile. Dessert seems to be a bit of an afterthought here but we saw some nice looking savory dishes passing by…

My friend dragged me around Midtown with her sister in order to find these macaroons at this specific location. She read that this place was compared to Ladurée in the New York Times, and had to go sample their macaroons since she is a holic.
We didn’t realize that this place was actually located inside Saks Fifth Avenue! It would have made sense the first time when we were inside the shop, but we didn’t realize we had to go upstairs to find it…
When we did, we were so tired and hungry, that we just decided to sit in for a quick break.
My friend of course got the macaroons she came for. Her sister decided to get the Chicken Tortilla Soup. …And since I love lobster rolls, I obviously got that.
The first mistake was to be seated here to eat…
My friend discovered in her Iced Tea, a fruit fly that died inside. The waiter didn’t seem to quite understand what I was saying when I kept telling him, «There’s a fly inside her drink.» There was a bit of a language barrier there, but he realized what I said and apologized. He took the drink away and gave her a new one.
When her macaroons came– we were all disappointed for her. She got the Pistachio, Lemon, and Strawberry Champagne. All and each of them had cracks in them! Now any macaroon-​holic knows when a macaroon is cracked, it is no good. And no good it was. The Pistachio and Lemon macaroons looked so artificially colored– that I advised her it didn’t seem safe to eat it. She finished them of course– and disliked all of them. They were terrible compared to Ladurée.
My lobster rolls were delicious. I liked the tangy dressing that came with my house salad– but not the salad myself. I’m not a fan of house salads because I don’t like the greens that come in it. My lobster rolls came in two little toasted buns, and were just so delicious. Unfortunately, for such a high class place– my lobster had little bits of shells still in it. Who would’ve thought?
My friend’s sister had soup that tasted like Chipotle’s (which she likes). But it had just about 3 pieces of chicken in it! It’s $ 8 for a small cup of soup. The least they could do was put more chicken instead of tortilla and corn pieces.
All in all, don’t waste your money and time here. Everything is overpriced and you really don’t know what to expect in the food (or beverages).

It’s easy to work up an appetite while shopping at Saks… believe me, I’ve had this problem more than once or twice. Luckily for us fashionistas, SnAKs at Saks is here to rescue you from your grumbling stomach after a good work out from all that luxurious shopping. I don’t know about you… but sometimes I need a break from all my shopping bags. While some of the items can be considered to be a tad pricey for what it is… SnAKs provides a quick reprieve from shopping and has decent quality food just when you need it most. There are not a lot of quick in and out places to eat around this area of town. Most places are very fancy or at least some sit down place where it will take away from your optimal shopping time. Located on the contemporary clothing floor, I had a great quick lunch with Adrian on one of my days off. Just like the clothing on this floor, the décor of SnAKS is modern, and sleek.
While there are healthy items, like salad cups, froyo, fresh fruit salads, and things of that sort, there are also things like various tasty sliders and paninis that you can nibble on. Overall, I think SnAKS is not a restaurant I would have on my foodie bucket list, but is a good place for lunch if you are already shopping at Saks and need something quick. There are lots of choices so who ever you may be shopping with can find that little something that will hold them over until you are done with your shopping marathon. If you’re looking to recharge before you shop til you drop, SnAKS is where it’s at!

Needed an afternoon bite and decided on the chicken tortilla soup. $ 8 for a small cup. Too many beans but glad it wasn’t overly salty. Couldn’t fight my diet coke addiction and caved. $ 3.75 for a small bottle. Eek!

The portions here are small and cost about double what they should cost. Even soda for $ 3.75. We had the Lobster Rolls with String Potatoes ($ 14), which were two small not so fresh rolls. The cupcakes here are super dry, I highly recommend avoiding them. A crappy cupcake for $ 5.50. But, we simply had to order a cupcake, since it was the only sweet item on the menu.
Our waiter was more interested in himself than he was the customers. When your ego is that large and you think you are a movie star, then maybe you should not be waiting tables. He was not even cute, it was tragic.
Seriously, all of the stars I am giving this place are for the ambiance and that is just a nice place to rest while shopping.
