I attended an intimate studio performance of Nutcracker solos and duets. It’s quite a different experience from going to a large-​scale ballet performance at, say, NYCB or ABT. There was room for only about 30 people in the audience, and you are so close to the dancers during the show that you can see them sweat and hear them breathe – it’s a strange, unique discomfort that’s both refreshing and memorable. I wish there were more dance events like this where you can experience dance in such a different light.

I’ve been a fan for many years. I attended the company’s performance last Friday and, honestly, it just gets better every year! I especially loved the piece Travelers. It’s one that the company has performed before but I love Rebecca’s choreography and the dancers were superb! Bravo!
