I also received poor service from Ed L… the worst customer service that I’ve encountered in a very long time. BB… you have an attitude problem here!
As of 2/​2, it’s been 2 weeks since my post & despite their initial concern, I’ve yet to hear from anyone at BB. Not good!

Visited store few days ago, waited while for assistance and asked salesman named Ed (who appeared idle) for help, he replied he was helping someone, he wasn’t … probably good idea to get proper shave, sans the attitude. Very nice gentlemen named Joe assisted me, pleasant experience, Joe is what customer service is all about and will return because of him.

I’m a grad student and perhaps not on par with their usual clientele. If they really are commission based, I guess I didn’t look like I was worth much.
I watched everyone around me being actively helped (and even stopped next to two associates, and instead of being helped, got to listen to them talk about their weekend). I eventually asked for help — and even then, it was regrettably condescending.
It’s a shame that the brand that advertises for dressing every US President discriminates.
I got my shirts (and they’re great), but can’t tell you how frustrating it is to walk out of a store with the impression that you’re not good enough to shop there.

Always a pleasant shopping experience here! The store is always really clean and the staff is helpful and attentive.
Brooks Brothers shirts are always a great fit and run a bit slimmer than other brands, so it’s great for the fashion-​conscious man who wants to look sharp! I managed to nab three shirts for $ 179 during their semi-​annual sale this year, and I’m really happy with them so far!

Terrible customer service. Beware the associates work on commission and will hound you to buy stuff and follow you around the store from the moment you walk in.
The Roosevelt Field Location is much better. I live in Manhasset and will always drive the distance to go to another location.

This is a great Brooks Brothers location, located in the Americana Manhasset mall, which means less people just casually wandering around, lots of parking, and the space for the staff to truly dedicate themselves to your needs.
Meryl has been a fantastic sales advisor, helping me to pick out shirts, suits, sweaters, and more either in the store or over the phone when I’ve forgotten something after leaving. She also made sure that I worked with Jimmy when it came to tailoring my suits. Jimmy is an old-​school professional — measuring, observing, muttering, marking-​up, and just catching all the little things you probably won’t. After making the mistake of having a second fitting done with another tailor in the store I now make sure he is the only guy to see through my requirements from beginning to end.
Brooks isn’t Zegna, but if you’re in the market for some more traditional suits without too much over-​the-​top flash, you’ll do well here.
