My favorite Chinese place — always reliable. I have ordered my Chinese food here for 3 years. The service is quick, the food is fresh and hot. I have never had a problem ordering and picking up. Definitely recommend.

The food is the worst. It used to be good. Tonight all my food had no taste I can’t believe it. Don’t wast a penny here.

I freaking love this Chinese place. The best I have found in CT, hands down. It’s a little more expensive than most, I have found, but good lord– so worth the extra few dollars. My favorite dish here? God, can I choose– the Spicy Beef Lo Mein is amazing. It was my first dish and holds a comfort-food like quality for me. Their crab rangoons are the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. My boyfriend is in love with the Sesame Beef(and I can attest, as I usually steal a few off his plate). The Wonton Soup is primo, but that’s pretty standard. I’ve been going here for years, and while the employees may be a little rough around the edges– meaning kind of a balance between mild hostility and completely missing a personality– just opt for take-out. The décor is dated and the acoustics are terrible. But the food is more than worth the extra few bucks and the personality flaws.

I just moved to the area and needed to find a good Chinese place. AND I think I found it. My «test dishes» are always crab Rangoon(if you mess this up we can’t be friends), chicken and broccoli, pork fried rice, dumplings, and spare rib tips. EVERYTHING except the rice was delicious! The rice is crazy bland and duck or soy sauce doesn’t help. I absolutely love there Rangoon savory instead of sweet yum! Will be my go to spot(hopefully the rice will get better) oh! And the delivery is super fast!

Long time customer, first time poster. The combos are awesome! Its the perfect«after work picking up a few things at the grocery store and we need something for dinner and we don’t feel like cooking» place to get take out. The order is always ready in 10 minutes, no matter how big it is. The family loves this place.

Best Chinese in CT. Struggled after moving to CT from St. Louis to find a place that makes crab rangoons perfect, and they do! Fast, clean, delicious!

I have been feeling less than stellar the past few weeks. I think the winter has finally caught up with me and delivered a wicked cold. Suffice it to say, after getting in from work at 7 I had no interest in cooking so I browsed Unilocal!for Chinese and poured myself a glass of red. I have tried most of the other places in the area: Empire Kitchen, Golden Dragon, Oriental Café. They all left something to be desired, I have been in search of a place that lives up to Oriental Café in Storrs for American Chinese. I think I found that in Main Wah. As the other reviewer said the Crab Rangoons are more savory than sweet which I prefer. The chicken and broccoli which I ordered steamed was a nice proportion of chicken to broccoli. Finally, the egg drop soup was not an overly oily consistency like I often find in most take-out places. I don’t think it mentions it anywhere but delivery is an $ 18 minimum fyi!

This place is amazing, the food is outstanding !!! If you are looking for the best Chinese in Manchester your search is over. The service is fast and courteous. I highly recommended the dumplings, the lo mein, and the rangoons. I honestly haven’t had anything bad from there. Don’t bother ordering anywhere else. :-)

While I was shopping for groceries, I was deciding whether on ordering out or not. I was really, super lazy to cook after buying all the groceries and then going back home to cook it so I called in to place an order with them. Person who picked up was a man. Took my order quickly, gave me my price, and then hung up. It took me about an hour to get my grocery shopping finished because the lines were extremely long for some reason so I was about 40 minutes late to pick up my food. They called once or twice, but didn’t bombard my phone constantly because I didn’t hear my phone go off. That is nice since some places blow up your phone. When I got the food, the girl up front was sweet and we talked a bit. Wicked nice. The food was still warm, so their packaging was great and they made sure the food didn’t go cold. I got the General’s Tso’s Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and Veggie Egg Foo Young. Their General’s chicken was great. Not too breaded and not too greasy. Only reason why I am docking a star is because I wish they used white meat and not dark. The veggie egg foo young was filling, but the gravy may be too heavy for some people’s stomachs. Overall, I would come back here again.

My husband and I moved to Connecticut from Massachusetts and since takeout/delivery Chinese is one of our favorite lazy dinners, we checked out at least 7 other Chinese restaurants in the Manchester area(including some in East Hartford, South Windsor, and Glastonbury). One of our favorites is crab rangoons. For some reason, unlike in Massachusetts, all of the Chinese restaurants made their crab rangoon filling sweet, like there was duck sauce in it or something. It was very strange to us and terribly sad. We searched and searched and finally, Main Wah was the only place whose crab rangoon fillings weren’t cloyingly sweet. Their other dishes are delicious as well. I usually get the shrimp and garlic sauce which comes with a variety of vegetables. My husband gets the general tsaos chicken which I also like but think could have more chicken than fried breading. It doesn’t come with any vegetables. Their pork fried rice, that we usually get as part of the combo dinner place, is also delicious and same with their egg roll. We are very happy to find a place that meets out Chinese food needs! Their delivery has always be quick and friendly too.
