Reviewing my most recent experience here — Had lunch with my sister here because we were both dying for some steak. We get seated in the bar area and proceeded to order some drinks. We both ordered Steak and Coconut Shrimp as our entrees. I ordered my steak rare, and she asked for medium rare. When the steaks got to the table, mine was perfectly cooked. My sister’s on the other hand was well done. She didn’t want to make a fuss, but when you’re paying that price for an entrée, it darn well better be cooked right! I asked our server if she could please have the kitchen re-cook the steak to medium-rare. My sister ate her side dishes while she waited. Steak #2 comes out… well done again. The server kept making the mistake of not asking the customer to cut into the meat to make sure it was cooked correctly before walking away. So now, my sister getting antsy calls our server over again and shows her the steak. She looked so unhappy, and we knew it was not her fault. She took it back to the kitchen, meanwhile the manager(I believe he was anyway) came over to talk to us an apologize. They took her meal off the check which was kind of them and we waited for steak #3. FINALLY it comes out, cooked medium, but at that point my sister didn’t care and ate it as it was. This isn’t the worst restaurant ever, and they have good food… but make sure you check it’s correct. And to the managers: Teach your cooks their temperatures!

Great place to grab a bite to eat low key… easy and on the budget. Place is clean and service is great.

I should have read Scott H review. I was hankering for steak and I saw that ruby tuesday was having a feature of different types of Steak. Worst steak I have ever had. I asked for Medium rare. and no not at all. I ordered the Cajun style It was super salty in some places. My daughter ordered a burger and the meat tasted real soft even though she ordered hers well done. The only one that enjoyed herself was my other vegan daughter who got vegetables and the garden salad. I don’t think I will be back

I’ve been to this Ruby Tuesdays a number of times. I feel like my standards are low for giving it a 5, but hear me out here… 1.) It’s clean 2.) It’s never packed 3.) Service is never slow. I mean come on, it’s a chain restraint. That’s perfect right there! I called in 2 separate orders for lunch today(because I had multiple coupons) and my order was ready in 10 mins. I only go to Ruby Tuesdays for the burgers, I’m def not going there to try any of their pseudo-fancy food. I get the crispy onion portabella mushroom burger which comes on a pretzel bun. That burger is my fave burger ever. I crave it at least monthly and it doesn’t hurt that Ruby’s always has coupons floating around the internet and that they send u a coupon every 2 weeks. Also, since I receive their coupons, I got a $ 9 off a burger coupon for my bday which I used today. You can specify the way you want your burger cooked and they did a pretty good job cooking mine medium-well, I don’t eat a lot of beef, so it was my first time not having it cooked well-done. This next critique is for the chain itself, not this single location, but they need to update their online ordering process. The space they allow you to make comments about changes to your meal is about this big ____________. So you really only have room to type your name. I needed space to say«sauce on the side, sub fries for spaghetti squash» stuff like that, which led me to calling to place my order for pick up instead of placing it online. When you go to pick up at this location, the door for«Curbside pick-up» is strange. It leads you to a small cubby hole sized area where it looks like only staff is supposed to be, then you have to go to the bar area to get your food. It’s very strange.

I frequent Tuesday’s because of the salad bar… normally. Well, I should have known better to go out to dinner last night on VD, but I did. We were seated promptly and waited on my a gentleman(nameless to avoid the embarrassment), needless to say, he needs to look for a new profession. Service is NOT one of them. I never got a refill on my coffee throughout dinner. We had to steal silverware from a neighboring table, and ask for salt/pepper. The ketchup bottle we were given was empty, evident by the weight when you picked it up, and even more so when you squeezed it. Food was ok, Tuesday’s quality. The last time we were there for lunch, the hostess tried to seat four adults next to a table with a screaming child, I refused the table and was seated at another. The waitress that day, I believe her name was Hailey, was excellent. I wish they all there were like Hailey(sp?).

We LOVE going to this restaurant! The service is always fun and happy and we always have a good time. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that everytime I ask for sauce on the side instead of the meal they never listen, its always smothered on top, that and I have to t-rex my arms to try and get to the items at the back of the salad bar. But those don’t kill the experience! Just a little inconvenient!

Let me start by stating that if you go to this location ask if Rachel* is working. If she is ask to be seated in her section. NO, I am not a relative, and had never met her until this evening. Please read on. I stopped by this location because I was craving a salad and was disappointed to learn that Ruby Tuesday has changed their salad bar with a very limited variety of fresh veggies(although what was offered was fresh). Besides the Waldorf Salad they no longer offer fruit :-(I ordered the mini burger slider combo(which were so over cooked that they were dry to the point that I took them off of the bun and just dipped them in ketchup to get them down.) However, what would have been a disappointing visit was saved by my server: Rachel. I did not want to have an alcoholic beverage, and I am not one for soft drinks, so I had water and ordered the salad bar with the mini burger sliders. As I was by myself, many servers would have acted in such a fashion thinking that the customer is only having the self service salad bar and water therefore creating the self fulfilling scenario of receiving a poor tip not worthy of their attention. Rachel is a jewel of a server. Tonight I completed the customer survey on the Ruby Tuesday website to praise her, and suggest that she train their other servers. She was VERY attentive, without being intrusive. The type of service that one receives at a true four or five star restaurant. She would walk past my booth, clearing plates, etc when needed, but never interrupted my dining experience unnecessarily. She knew that if I wanted something that I would look up and make eye contact. So often, well meaning servers in their effort to provide what they perceive as good service will keep on stopping by your table(often after one has just put food in their mouths) to ask the unnecessary question: «Is everything OK?» As I was alone, and an observer of people I watched her attend to the other tables around me and she also provided them with a level of service that is a pleasant surprise at virtually all franchise restaurants. So much so, when it came time to get my check I asked her what else she did, besides work there. Expecting that her answer would be that she was a professional person that lost her job due to the economy, etc. Her answer: She is a stay at home Mom, that works when she can. Like on this Sunday night. I left her a five dollar tip on a total bill(with tax) of $ 12.09 * The level of service that she gave me should be rewarded and acknowledged.

Worst hostess ever. Not friendly or very competent. She wasn’t at her post when we arrived and were finally seated in eyeshot of the door. She was AWOL most of the time causing folks to back up as they came in. She also didn’t manage keeping stock of utensils and we were left without. This poor service put additional responsibilities on the wait staff. They were eager to please and seemed to be running constantly. Management would do themselves a favor by replacing this hostess with a team player that enjoyed serving people. By the way, the food was good and the offerings on the salad bar were fresh and constantly replenished.

I had the smokehouse burger with fries, which was really yummy after a long day of walking around DC. It was cooked to my liking, hot, and added nicely with a side of fries. My grandparents and mom had the classic burger which also looked delicious as well and they enjoyed it. My dad had the New Orleans seafood which didn’t look all that great, but maybe frozen. He also ordered a side of vegetables that were forgotten by our waitress until later on in the evening. I also looked around me to see other customers’ full entrée meals that didn’t look so appetizing but were given back almost entirely. I would say stick to burgers and not actual entrees(which is unfortunately most of the menu) and you’ll be fine!

Never giving this place business again. Last night I called to place an order to pick up. I was put on hold for over 5 minutes and no one came back on the line. Giving the place the benefit of the doubt(perhaps they were just very busy on a Friday night), I called back. It sounded like the same girl who answered the first time, but she offered a different name. The girl apologized for my being put on ignore and took my order without issue. My husband went to pick up the order and was furious when he came home. He said he waited at the carside and inside and nobody paid him any mind. Worse, it wasn’t busy at all! He walked over to the bar where my order was sitting and no one was there either. What looked like the manager came behind the bar so my husband, with credit card in hand, thought he was cashing out the order. Nope. He walked away. My husband had to flag someone down so he could pay and leave. When the food got home, it wasn’t good. The fish in the New Orleans seafood was incredibly overcooked and dry, having the edges at the consistency of plastic. The filet wasn’t even in one piece! I’ve never had an issue at other RT locations but this one is terrible.

I have to throw the old girl a bone here, figuratively speaking of course. After having disastrous results ordering steaks here, and an odd interaction with management, the wife and I have been back a few times. And as long as I stay away from the steak, Ruby treats me fairly well. We often get coupons in the mail for RT’s and the wife was wanting to try that new pretzel burger, so we used our buy one, get one ½ price coupon on those.(Unlike the past, you can use these coupons for burgers now) We decided to pass on the salad bar this time, although I do love me the RT salad bar, but we did order the tempura green beans as an appetizer. And they were SO good. The wife went with the bacon cheese pretzel burger, and I went for the one with the spicy jalapeño one. We both opted for the $ 2 upgrade to the Triple Prime burger, which was a good call. The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. I love the jalapeño caps that were on my burger. My wife was a bigger fan of the pretzel bun than I was, but it was fine. I’d like to see RTs do more with their draft beer selection. They offer local craft brews in bottles, and even Red Robin is offering local crafts on tap now, so they need to step their game up in that regards. But as long as we stick to safe options, and I avoid asking for a rare steak, then the wife and I wind up doing A-OK here.

I ordered the bbq chicken flatbread for take out online. The flatbread was ready at the requested time and the server at the bar was friendly and fast. The bbq chicken flatbread was awesome and it’s a great price for the portion size. The flatbread was smothered in a more than generous amount of cheddar cheese and bbq sauce. This is definitely a must try. The only complaint is that the online ordering site is not mobile device friendly.

I’ve visited this location twice now and both times the service has been outstanding. The salad bar has been very fresh and kept clean(MAJORPLUS) I have now tried the regular sliders(«minis» on their menu) and the buffalo chicken«minis» and no real complaints on either one of these minis. If I had to choose I would pick the buffalo chicken over the beef and definitely order it with the garden bar to have a good balanced dinner eating out.

I have to update my review, I just really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the salmon and it was perfection! The mashed potatoes with the white cheddar cheese was very good also. The salad bar is the best around that I know of.

I’m torn on this review. If you follow my past reviews, you know I am not fond of chain restaurants because I would rather see a local venue succeed, however, think there are a few good chains around, Ruby Tuesday’s being one of them. I wish I could remember the name of our server that night, very sweet young blonde lady. I wish I could call her out by name on the off chance that her manager reads this review, she was fantastic. If you’ve read my reviews before also know I am an iced tea fanatic. She kept my glass full, and my Splenda plentiful! Go blonde girl! I kept it simple Saturday night; I had the salad bar and soup combo… an old favorite. I love any salad bar that has chick peas… and pine nuts. I ordered broccoli and cheese soup. Not my favorite, but I’ve had worse. It was really thick, like, stand your spoon up thick. It was a bit salty, but overall, just a little too rich for my tastes. I bet others would love it. I really like the direction Ruby’s is going. Still casual, but you can tell they are trying to kick up the class a notch. I like it. I’ll be back for sure.

Service was good, burgers were not. The restaurant was not busy(near empty). Our burgers came out cold, bland, overcooked, flavorless. Even with onion rings and blue cheese on the burger, it just couldn’t save the cold, overcooked meat. The fries were hot. Could not finish the cold overcooked burger. It tasted like the burger was precooked and just assembled. Worst burger I’ve had in a long time. Server brought carry-out boxes, but didn’t notice that we were not eating our burgers. The only redeeming factor was the service. Food was nasty!

Yikes Precious likes the Ruby Relaxer. It’s a fruity tasting alcoholic beverage. I’ve brought her to this place for drinks. Sometimes we’d get an appetizer. We never had any problems. I read on the website of a radical«pro-family» group that they objected to a commercial for the new Ruby Tuesday pretzel-bread burgers. «Fun Between the Buns» I think was what they objected to. So I wanted to go and eat one of those burgers. The burger was what I expected, unremarkable, underwhelming. It’s a burger at a Ruby Tuesday. But before we left I felt a very strong sensation of an oncoming intestinal requirement. I needed to get to a bathroom and fast. I don’t like using establishment bathrooms for these types of … you know. So Precious went and paid the bill. We made like a bakery truck and hauled our buns out of there. I’m not going to go into the details of what I did once I arrived at my home bathroom. Afterwards we were going to go out to the supermarket, but as we were driving down the street, Precious requested that I turn around as she was feeling a sensation that would require a bathroom visit. She said that she thought there was a possibility that she wouldn’t make it in time. Bottom line, both Precious and I were violently ill after having eaten at this place. I don’t know what it was. We ate different things. I had the burger. She had the salad bar. But either way it was awful. This is unacceptable.
