Excellent pedicures. Today Anna did my pedicure and she did a perfect job. This salon has the best treatment for rough heels, my feet are baby smooth. Always a joy to go here.

Horrible. You would think the owners would treat their regulars we’ll but they don’t. The regular customer gets pushed aside for new business. I thought loyalty was good for a business but apparently all salon olive wants is more business as the expense of losing good customers. Never again will I go here.

Spacious salon. I went there today(3÷29÷15) and they have all new pedicure massage chairs. I’ve been going for years but only once a month or so, and they always remember me and ask about my family. Mani/pedis is what they’re known for. They do good lip and brow waxing… and gets it right. Prices are reasonable. Every so often they get busy, but typically walkin’s get serviced quickly. They do take appointments as well. Cash only, but they have an atm on premises that does not charge service fees.

It has been five years since I have written about Salon Olive and what prompted me to write this update are my new XTREMELASHES by Lee. I am stoked at how great they turned out. I go for my gel manicure religiously every two weeks and would not consider another salon. The quality, service and experience are by far the best in the area. And I have tried quite a few! In addition they offer facials.

My two daughters and I have been coming here for quite some time now. We used to come here then switched to another salon down the street but since returned here. The prices are about $ 5.00 more for a pedicure and a little more for tips and gel manicures but worth it! Place is spotless and they always seem to get you in even when you call the same day you want an appointment. Staff is very professional and nice. Pedicures are the best. I love the jelly like stuff you soak your feet in. Their foot massages are the best. They don’t rush them. Paraffin at the end is also a nice bonus.

Talk about a rush job! Fastest pedi ever, and not a very good one. I still have callouses and had a problem with a nail growing into nailbed today, less than a week later. They were very nice but sloppy and ineffective.

When I first starting coming here(2 and a half years ago) I was blown away by the service. I always went to Irene– she spent close to 45 minutes on a pedicure, removed all calluses, and spent extra time cutting my cuticles so my nails did not grow into ingrown toe nails. She was rough but I liked it. About 6 months ago things started to go down hill. I was always waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time, Irene could only do my pedicure and someone else had to do the manicure, the process was rushed, and you could no longer tip on the card. I could have lived with all that. And when I tell you I was a loyal customer, I mean mani pedi every other week. And I always tipped Irene well– she was my favorite. The last straw was when they decided to fire 80% of the staff– including Irene. I went back about 3 times before they finally told me she was not ‘off’, she didn’t work there anymore. I tried a few other girls but none can get rid of my cracked heels, my calluses, or cut the sides of my nail. I guess I had it good for a long time. I just can’t see paying $ 35 for a mani-pedi anymore when it only lasts a day before my heels look like a lizard. I would no longer recommend this place.

I really want to write a better review but as a customer that has been going here for years feel their service and dedication has taken a nose dive. When I started going here you couldn’t beat their pedicures, they did callus removing and parrafin all in a regular priced pedicure, they used to last almost a full hour and the massages were heaven in a chair. It was literally the best you could get for $ 25 in the area. Their dedication to detail made you feel like you were in a spa rather than a strip mall nail salon. Sadly this is not the case anymore. Now you are lucky if the pedicure lasts even a half hour and if you are lucky to receive all the treatments. Depending on when you go will determine your experience. If they are busy they just cattle through people and are more worried about making money then actually giving the customer the experience that their reputation was built on. I guess the secret got out and they bit off more than they could chew and usually overbook themselves resulting in sub par treatments, and even if you have an appt. on the busier days still expect to wait(sometimes up to 20 past your appt time). So to me it is hit or miss but has been more miss lately. They lost their«uniqueness» and rank along side any other salon.

The owner stopped me an my mother in law on our way out the door to ACCUSE us of not tipping the pedicurist. After explaining SEVERAL times that he had in fact been tipped(and being completely embarassed and MORTIFIED) I told her to ask the gentleman himself. She yelled across the salon and he confirmed we had in fact tipped him(generously I might add). NEVERAGAIN will I go there. An another note, they are always overbooked and completely unorganized about who’s been waiting for how long. AWFUL experience.

I can not say enough positive things about Salon Olive in Mahwah, NJ. Lee is wonderful. I feel I have gained a great friend in her. The staff has ALWAYS been pleasant and they all do their jobs to the fullest. It is a very clean, neat and organized place to be. You are treated as if you had walked into a firend’s or family members home. Definitely 5 plus stars.

Salon Olive is a clean, inviting and warm nail salon. The staff are friendly and very capable. I’ve walked in at different times/days and have always gotten into a chair for a treatment within 5 minutes. Pro: they do a paraffin wax treatment to soften heels at the end of a regular pedicure. Con: they don’t let you add the tip to your bill if you use a credit card, so bring extra cash.
