An arabesque not to be Passé’d!(A ballet pun!) Storybook Ballet is a super fun place for children to dance, be creative and learn ballet in a fun setting. There are costumes, themed classes, tea parties and of course the wonderfully taught classes. The studio was super clean and full of color and imagination. The owner, Meredith takes extraordinary care in hiring and training quality teachers. The classes are specifically meant for children 3 – 9 years old. Class size is not too big which is perfect for personal attention of children by the teacher. That means the classes are perfectly suited to the right age and ability. The younger children get to be Belle, Snow White, Clara and variety of other characters. Movement, story, imagination and a beautiful costume, is just what a child needs. For anyone looking for fun, age-appropriate, quality ballet instruction for their child(or for themselves), look no further than Storybook Ballet. .

My daughters, now 8 and 6, have been students of Storybook Ballet since age 3. We’ve had the chance to work with many of the Storybook faculty, including Miss Jeni(we miss you!), Miss Maelanie, Miss Jessica, and Meredith Mast. My girls love them all. Our experience began with the Storybook classes. The dancers have a different theme and costume each week. Now that they are older, they have moved on to learning traditional ballet technique. There is strong emphasis on barre work and building strength for future dancing. After so many(so many!) hours of watching my girls dance, I decided to give ballet a try myself and join the adult class. I’m totally new to ballet(and quite uncoordiated), but Miss Maelanie and Meredith are patient and nurturing. I get to feel graceful for 75 minutes, once a week:) It’s sad to think that soon my girls will outgrow the program. After 5 years with Storybook Ballet, it’s been worth every hour and penny! My girls are strong and beautiful little dancers!
