This evening I came to your restaurant in Madison Heights Mi. store #125 in order to celebrate the graduation of my little sister. Courtesy of Texas Roadhouse I had the unfortunate experience of having a live bug in my salad! I immediately ask for the manager stating that it was an emergency. It took the manager at least 15 minutes before he responded. As a result I was forced to look at this live bug the entire time. The manger by the name of Dylan was very unconcerned and unapologetic. I asked for a desert as a substitute instead of another salad and he said no. The only reason I did not get up and walk out is because Texas Roadhouse was my sister’s favorite restaurant and I did not want to disrupt her day. Another concern is when the waitress brought the silverware out they were under her armpits. That should be an acceptable way to dispense silverware due to sanitary reasons and also because it’s just totally disgusting. Your customers use those napkins to wipe their mouths and hands on them. My table tried to ask for bags for their carry outs from the waitress who ignored our request. As a result they had to get them on the way out themselves without the assistance of your staff. I literally feel sick right now on the verge of vomiting due to the experience at your restaurant. As a result I would never go to the Madison Heights location again!

Absolutely love this place!!! Excellent food and service every single time! The rolls are so amazing. There usually is a wait but we are told upfront about it and everyone is so friendly.

Texas Roadhouse in a(pea)nut-shell: Pros *Food is usually very good. Steaks and chicken are usually grilled to perfection. I love the grilled chicken salad *They have some of the best ranch dressing I’ve ever had. It’s insanely good. *When dining in, service is friendly and fast. *if you like neon signs, country music, and kitschy Texas memorabilia, you’re in luck. Cons *It’s busy. Really busy. All of the time. Like, so busy you may think they are giving out free iPads or something. *Take out ordering can be a hassle. They usually run very slow. Last night, I ordered at 5:05, was told to pick up in 15 – 20, but ended up showing up at 5:25 and waiting for 20 minutes. I finally walked out with my food at 5:45. This is common. Also common, NOTGETTINGMYORDERRIGHT. I order the grilled chicken salad regularly, no onion. The salad comes with bacon and croutons, but at least 50% of the time one or the other is missing. Sometimes the salad will have onion. Sometimes there will be no cheese. Why? Is there a random salad generator that I am not aware of? *The rolls — seriously, they are delicious. That is not a con. However, how do they vary in size so much from order to order? Once, they are huge and majestic, glistening with butter. The next time they are flat and 1⁄3 of the size. I swear I’ve almost confused them with croutons. This seems to be a «growing» trend lately. Don’t get cheap with my rolls. All-in-all, I will keep coming back because the food is great. However, that does not mean that improvements are not warranted. Texas Forever.

If you dine here, seriously, ask for Crystal. Amazing server. Attentive. Polite. Doesn’t interrupt conversation. Wasn’t pushy. One of the best experiences my wife and I have had dining in a long time. The food? Also good. As far as throw peanuts on the floor, basic steak house chains go, Texas Roadhouse always satisfies. Great margaritas too. But seriously, ask for Crystal, you’ll be glad you dined here.

i’m not sure if the people with negative reviews just got the short end of the stick, but this place has the BEST service, even if it is a chain restaurant. i’ve been to this location twice, and yes there are mainly 18 year-olds working here, but they do their jobs correctly. everyone was extremely friendly from the hostess, even to the busboy cleaning the tables. our waiter was Latress(pardon me if i spelled it wrong) and he was excellent. he stayed on top of refills, and made SURE to ensure that our food was how we ordered it. my moms steak came out with mushrooms instead of onions, and he immediately recognized it before the food runner even sat it on the table and immediately sent it back. now that’s good service. he also told us that if anything was wrong he would take it back for us. no restaurant ever says this! i have been to the Roseville location a number of times and trying to send something back to their kitchen is like pulling teeth. now this ain’t a 5-star steak restaurant, but it’s a nice place to gather with friends and family for a nice affordable meal. the food here is always piping hot(to where i literally burned my tongue) and always fresh. if you’re looking for a place to eat a nice meal look no further! you get a nice bang for your buck and they have margarita specials on Mondays!

If you are looking for a place to get together with family/friends look somewhere else. This place won’t set you unless they PHYSICALLY see EVERYONE in your party. Why would they advise call ahead seating. I think they should PHYSICALLY look at EVERYONE of there policy’s.

This is place is seriously disgusting. All I heard between employees was profanity. Employees boxing with each other in front of customers? What kind of employees does this place hire? And what a pitiful dress code. If I was the manager id watch what my employees are saying and wearing. Horrible restaurant experience.

My birthday I decide to come here. I order 20 oz rib eye! I ate almost whole(before ate bread, salad & chili. I forget 20 oz is more than 1 pound!)Any wayI didn’t tell them today is my birthday but next table is. So I enjoy birthday song and dance … Happy me. Unfortunate didn’t get cake or ice cream. It was my regret… but I am happy for 20 oz. I like here is 1. service. Very nice & always welcome. Very good service mean I will come back. Steak is always tender, just right medium rare…(some expensive place some times not good for that) any way cheap also. Don’t forget weekday special & happy hour…

So I almost always avoid chains like the plague. They’re all about«consistency» which usually means the ceiling on quality is kept pretty low. But with solid reviews and the promise of «hand cut» steaks… we finally decided to give it a shot. Shouldn’t have. It’s a chain… no different. We were sat in the back corner by Willie Nelson memorabilia. Well, that and many, many fruit flies. I’ve worked in restaurants a long time… fruit flies are a constant battle you MUST stay on top of to keep them out. But even good places get them in the summer. But in DECEMBER?! Get your shit together because if they were swarming like that around our table, something very wrong is happening. The food was mostly poor. Ribs were some of the worst I ever had. Tasted like precooked, then frozen, thawed, covered in a processed BBQ sauce, then thrown on the grill to add that char flavor(burnt). There was no meat. So dry and gross and cooked beyond shit. Tried the Prime Rib. I know prime rib is a fatty flavorful cut. This had plenty of fat but not much flavor. I didn’t even see any attempt at seasoning or herbs on the outside. The horseradish sauce was ok(though we had to ask for it twice). The sides were boring. Frozen fries, a baked potato, and weirdly colored broccoli with carrots. The service was bad. Barely saw our server. Was half way done with the meal before we were checked on and the food was ran by different people(not our server) and no one made an attempt to see if we ever needed anything. Just drop and run with little to no eye contact. Why 2 stars? Because the half chicken was ok. If I was in a worse mood, this place could have easily gotten 1 star. The menu was weak, prices were high for the quality, no good cocktails, limited beer choices, never saw a manager… Adiós Texas Roadhouse. You have reinvigorated my «stay away from chains» mantra. Keep it local people! Support mom and pops!

Arrived Friday afternoon around 4:00pm. Told the lady seating us we had a party of 12. They wouldn’t seat us until all had arrived. Nine of us had to wait for seating until all had arrived(roughly ½ hour). Then when they seated us we were cramped into an area that was suitable for eight people or ten at most. The reception girl was rude at best. Our waiter was very good. He was helpful and very attentive. That’s the only reason I gave a two star. My food, shrimp on a squarer was tasty. For a steak restaurant my wife’s steak and my daughters steak was ok. For the cost, the steak(fillet) was ok, but the sides were skimpy at best. The other folks at our table were no more impressed than us. We will not be going back. Sorry they felt imposed upon due to the size of our group.

This place used to be a staple for the family. Good reliable service, good consistent food at a good price. What happened? For one, the prices — they’ve gone up — a lot! For example one meal we were used to getting was $ 15.99, it’s $ 18.99 these days. Everything seems to have risen $ 1-$ 4. Pretty substantial increase! But I won’t knock them for that, as long as quality and service is consistent. The problem is — both seem to have dropped. Today(5÷17÷15) we were seated without rolls/butter, and after nearly 30 minutes I flagged down the manager to report that we had ‘nobody’ stop by our table for the full 30 minutes(or close)… A short time later our waitress(Paige) showed up and seemed ‘angry’ with us, likely due to her manager discussing this with her. The result of that was during the rest of the meal our waitress was ‘cold’ and ‘annoyed’ with us. Or at least it appeared that way, slamming glasses down on our table, not checking on the quality of the food, and in fact ‘avoiding’ interacting with us in any way. My son asked for Prime Rib which is supposed to be available all day on Sunday. Our waitress said«Nope. Sorry. No Prime Rib until 4pm!». I pointed out to her that it was… Ready for this? 3:57PM. She rolled her eyes, and said she will ‘go check’, and came back to give us the good news that it was read…(no, not making this up) I wish I could say the food was fantastic. The salads were skimpy, with too little lettuce, and almost no dressing. My chicken critters were about a third of the normal quantity. My son seemed to get a fairly skimp piece of prime rib, and our steak fries were all soggy and uninspiring. Overall, not impressed at all, and in fact — I will likely avoid this place going forward. What happened to our good, reasonably priced staple restaurant?

Can you believe?! Our 2nd time here and we get the same server-Sarah! She was just as good as the first time and she remembered us! It was particularly loud. I’m not sure why. Possibly because we were seated by the bar? Anyway, we did call ahead seating again and were seated in minutes. Our order of potato skins, ribs, salad, and green beans was prompt.

First time coming here and pretty impress for the price, portions, and taste. First of all the rolls with cinnamon butter was amazing — the rolls were fresh and warm. Ordered the Prime Rib Steak and Ribs combo topped with onion and mushrooms with steak fries and veggies on the side. The proportions were huge! The steak was nicely cooked but since it was back with onion and mushroom, the meat seem to lose a little bite of its original taste. The ribs were tendered and a little on the dry side. The veggies were over cooked making the broccoli too soft for my liking but still green(not yellowish). Overall impression is good considering what you’re paying.

I think I’m one of the few people that have never been here before, despite hearing good things about Texas Roadhouse, along with them having multiple locations around the country and state of Michigan. Never really made it in until last night, and I’m glad that I did. The place was packed to the gills, but surprisingly, not a terribly long wait to get seated, especially since it was New Year’s Eve. The staff was really courteous, even with the enormous amount of people that were hear to eat on a holiday. We got seated in less then half an hour, which was in the time frame that we were promised.(not that we were keeping track, but it sure was nice!) The menu here has a little bit of everything, and a great selection of meat to choose from. Beef tips, sirloin, surf and turf are just a few that come to mind. Sizes of steaks range from 6 ounces all the way up to 23 ounces!(that’s a LOT!) I went with a 6 ounce steak, mashed potato’s and a Cesar Salad. For starters, the Cesar Salad was a nice big one! Not some tiny little bowl that has 3 pieces of lettuce. I like that about this place. You get two sides with your dinner, and the Salad was a «regular» salad size, and they served it before the meal!(some places serve it to you all at once, which I HATE. Either my dinner gets cold or I can’t enjoy my salad because I’m staring at my dinner.) I will say, the mashed potato’s weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they were decent. It didn’t matter to me at that point because everything else were was so awesome, that it wasn’t even a problem. The food really stood out, along with the awesome service and promised wait time to get seated. Everything here was really on point. We also got a basket of hot rolls with butter. These were delicious! Hot and buttery, just the way I like it. Drinks were always filled, and service was amazing. Another thing I liked, the steak was delicious! When we were served our dinner, the server had us cut into our steaks to make sure they were cooked as we had ordered them. Something about this impressed me, because it made us feel like he cared. We were offered desert, but were so stuffed we passed. The boyfriend had the same thing I did, but he went with an 8 ounce steak, and both of us were really full when we were done. Couldn’t imagine eating any thing bigger! Also, we were impressed that our bill was only $ 28 for the whole meal. We were expecting it to be closer to $ 40 for how much we ate, and feel like it was worth every penny. Overall, a really positive experience, and will be back again in the future!

Upon being seated we were presented with a heaping basket of rolls with their tasty cinnamon butter… mmm! Six rolls for 2 people was a little much, but we didn’t have a problem eating them either… My bowl of chili included cheese and onions — the onions smelled horrible, so I didn’t try them. My steak was cook excellent though and tasted good. Waiter was very attentive to the table and kept the refills coming. It was kind of loud in here, but that is pretty normal from other Texas Roadhouses that I have visited.

My family loves steak, so when my dad heard about Texas Roadhouse he wanted to take my brother, mom and I there when the kids were home for the holidays. It was incredibly busy — even on a week night — but that’s usually a good sign, right? They have the cuts of steak displayed in a cooler while you wait. They looked big and juicy. You could also see the baker making the rolls — holy he was fast! Service was friendly, but not as attentive as I would expect. The steak was really good, but the sides sucked. Like not even a little bit tasty. They were all really salty, and the corn was clearly canned. Prices were cheap, so if you want a good steak for a decent price this may be your place. Just don’t expect much from the accompaniments. Fortunately, the steak(and delicious free bread) will probably fill you up! The décor is typical cheesy chain restaurant décor. I feel they should spend less money on the cheese and more money on buying real plates instead of those hospital feeling plastic ones.
