In the whole world they have the best Fettuccine Alfredo — Fresh made to order — we have traveled the world and found that we keep coming back for the very best — OIP is country and come as you are dress — the quality of the food is worth a four hour drive from DC.

My first encounter with this place and presumably my last. Our group of five arrived on Sunday night and we took a survey of the buffer before being seated. It was early in the evening, but the buffet has that«picked over» look already, and it was not much to write home about if it was full. The server assured us it was being restocked, but we ordered off he menu instead. I had an Italian sub sandwich. It was…an Italian sub sandwich like you light get at Subway. It was served with potato chips– fries were extra but the sandwich was nearly $ 7. The guest who ordered eggplant Parmesan was satisfied. My wife had the spaghetti and meat sauce and a bowl of clam chowder. she sent back the chowder– it was full of Parmesan cheese and the server said it was«their own recipe». Tasted the spaghetti and it was horribly sweet. Inedible. I understand everything is Virginia is sweet and the locals like it that way but this was also extreme. the Italian Wedding soup was OK. The child had chicken strips– She seemed to like then and the fries that accompanied them. Our other guest had a meatball sub sandwich with no complaints.
Prices for dinners were not terribly extreme, but they were high– all over $ 10. We didn’t try the wine. Service was good and the items returned and exchanged without complaint. Big TV’s over the bar area were showing the big football game. There is a huge shopping center parking lot. I won’t be going back unless someone else foots the bill. There are better Italian places around the area.

Unimpressed with the food this visit. Lasagna Is Way Too Sweet And has very little meat. Service is poor as usual, and the way they ration iced tea, you’d swear there was a worldwide shortage.

This was the worst pizza my husband and I have ever eaten!!! My husband and I are Italian and this place is a sorry sorry excuse for Italian food just as bad as the Olive Garden(if you didn’t know all of the olive gardens food is frozen and 95% of it is microwaved before giving it to you) I swear the mushrooms on the pizza are canned even though they say they are not. I would never never reccomend this place to anyone if you want decent Italian food in Lynchburg Va I’d go to Monte Carlo’s although I haven’t been there in awhile I can say years ago when I went it was good or try La Villa on timberlake. OIP should be shut down they are an imbarrisment to Italian food

This place is a poor excuse for an italian restaurant. I read the previous reviews and someone said that this place had good alfredo. My girlfriend and I were traveling from NC and we decided to gas and try the local food in Lynchburg. I gave it a shot considering it looked and SMELLED like a hole in the wall. We ordered calamari and marinara sauce, chicken alfredo with broccoli and cheese tortellini with pesto sauce. I asked for light on the alfredo… it was ignored… YOUCOULDSERIOUSLYDROWN A RODENTINTHEAMOUNTOFSAUCE.(strike one)… The calamari claimed to have marinara sauce… the chef decided that shrimp cocktail sauce would be a perfect substitute. It was terrible. My girlfriend and I were making jokes about how we bombed our dinner plans with crappy food. When I checked out… I couldn’t help, but notice the BUCKET full of marinara sauce placed next to the pizza station. I was tempted to ask the server what was the proper sauce that goes with calamari, but my girlfriend advised me that it would rude and improper, so I went with the next best thing. BASHINGTHISPLACEON Unilocal. If you are tiresome traveler… avoid this place with all cost. The serving staff doesn’t listen… they don’t abide by the ingredients posted on their menu… and they even jacked up the garlic bread and salad. Lesson learned… for me… suck it up and speed passed this crap hole of a restaurant. Save the appetite for the restaurants in Charlottesville, VA. It’s worth it… at least by then you would have a better selection on food.

Pretty good! If you have ever enjoyed a meal at a restaurant named Vinny’s, Sal’s, or Mario’s you will find something you like here. I prefer OIP’s Sicilian Style Pizza. It is a thick but light dough crust. If you are looking for middle to high end Italian, this is not the place for you. This is more of a «neighborhood Eye-tal-yen.» I’ve never had a bad meal here, and the price is right.
